No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. DUBLIN, FRIDAY, MAY 1, 1874. DESCRIPTION of the under- mentioned, who stands charged withhavingembezzled £ 280and upwards, that came into his bands in his capacity of Actuary in the Savings Bank, Abbey- street, Dublin, viz.:— Robert Wellington Jones, from BO to 56 years old, about 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, rather stout build, sandy hair and full sandy beard tinged with gray, fresh or florid complexion, gentlemanly appearance, respec- tably clad, generally in black cloth clothes, and recently resided at 99, Lower Mount- street, Dublin. DESCRIPTION of Alexander Gordon, native of Tully- rawley, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 21st February, at Ballywatermoy in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Craigs, inflict^ wounds on the head of John Treacy, of Dunmfning, from the effects of which he died on the 24th : Very smart active appearance, rather slender make, downcast look ; regular nose, dark complexion, sharp face, 6 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; shaved his cheeks on a line with mouth, wore his beard from that round and , under chin, no moustache; wore a cloth cap with rough edging, moleskin jacket, cord trowsers. DESCRIPTION of Michael Field, native of Cooleen, and John Field, native of Clonshearmore, who stand charged with having, on the 13th April, 1874, at Macroom, in the barony of West Muskerry, parish of Macroom, inflicted such injuries on Jeremiah Dineen as caused his death :— 1. Michael Field— Smart active appearance, wears a slight moustache, the rest of the face shaved; blue eyes, thin nose, fair complexion, rather long face, smart make, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 26 years of age, sandy hair; wore a black coat light trowsers. 2. John Field— Long sandy whiskers ; blue eyes, regular nose, fresh conplexion, thin face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 39 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tweed coat, trowsers and vest. DESCRIPTION of Cornelius Driscoll, native of Ballinlough, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 20th inst., in the barony of East „ Car- beiy, West Division, parish of Kilmacabea, struck Denis Driscoll a blow of a stick on the head, from the effects of which he died on the following morn- ing :— Brown eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, rather long face, stout make, 5 feet 7^ inches high; about 86 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft round hat, blue coat and trowsers ; smart intelligent appearance; has a very keen look about the eyes, and has the appearance of a man of determination ; his hair hangs about the sides of his head as if recently wetted, it is long and straight and rather thin. HABITUAL CRIMINALS UNDER POLICE SUPERVISION Who have not reported themselves, as required by " The Prevention of Crimes Act, 1871," and who are liable, on conviction, to 12 months' imprisonment. I. Sub- Inspectors are to report without delay to " The Registrar of Habitual Criminals, Dublin Castle," the names and descriptions of all persons under supervision reporting themselves in their respective Districts. II. Also to report to the " Directors of Government Prisons, Dublin Castle," in all cases in which it may come to the knowledge of the Constabulary that convicts are in any way infringing the conditions of their licences.
