WHEREAS, on the morning of the 18th January last, Joseph Grymes was found wilfully murdered in his cottage, situate in Bentham lane, in the parish of Purton, in the county of Wilts, by some person or persons unknown A reward of £ 100 will be paid by the Government, to any person who shall give such information and evidence as shall lea 1 to the discovery and conviction of the murderer or murderers, and the Home Secre- tary will advise the grant of Her Majesty's gracious pardon to any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the murder, who shall give such evidence as shall lead to a like result. The articles stolen are mostly all silver. The stamp on articles of Swedish pattern, with arms and motto, consists of an oval impress with ship in full sail and bearing flag at stern, and having oval jgMeldjmd quarterings underneath, and over the top the words " Hazard zet Forward." Those articles stated to be marked with plain crest are stamped only with ship in full sail. Entrance effected by breaking stone lintel at bottom of jiantry window, and pulling ouf iron stanchion, afterwards piercing wooden shutter in two places, but having been unable to remove inside bar securing shutter, forced one side off the hinges. The parties must have come out by same window, as pantry door was locked, and they had got no farther. Two foot- prints of parties, with plain boots about 11 inches long, observed in shrubbery near house. Search and inquiry respectfully requested to be made at pawn offices, jewellers and watchmakers' shops, and other likely places, with a view to the recovery of the stolen property, and detection of the offenders. DESCRIPTION of Alexander Gordon, native of Tully- riwley, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 21st February, at Ballywatermoy, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Craigs, inflicted wounds on the head of John Treacy, of Dunmining, from the effects of which he died on the 24th :— Very smart active appearance, rather slender make, downcast look ; regular nose, dark comp! exion, sharp face, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, about 30 years of age, dark hair; shaved his cheeks on a line with mouth, wore his beard from that round and under chin, no moustache; wore a cloth cap with rough edging, moleskin jacket, c > rd trowsers. John Walsh, butcher, of Askeaton, in the county of Limerick, while standing at his own door, was 6red at and killed by some person or persons unknown : His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who sliall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information on or persons as shall lead to the conviction of the^ who committed the same. Fitzgerald, the accountant of the National Bank at Castlebar, when returning from Newport, in the county of Mayo, was fired at and wounded by some person or persons at present unknown, and the cash- box, containing a large sum of money, the property of the Bank, was forcibly carried off by the said person or persons : His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the same; and a reward of FIFTY POUNDS to any person who shall, within the same period, give such private information as shall lead to the same result. DESCRIPTION of 5 persons, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 10th March, 1874, in the barony of Fore, parish of Old- castle, forcibly entered tho houses of James Gillick and Edward Reilly, of Stonefield, and administered to each an unlawful oath, and with having feloniously carried away a gun, the property of the latter:— 1. Unknown— Remarkably strongly built man; tlorid complexion, fat face, very stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 30 years of ago, fair hair; wore a billycock hat, dark frieze coat. 2.
