Notice.— It ia requested that all communications for the purpose of obtaining or giving information respecting supposed offenders, or stolen property, may bear tbe Signature of the person requiring or sending the same, and all applications in reference to the POLICE GAZETTE may be made and addressed to MB. W. D. BURNABY, the Editor, Police Court, Bow Street, London, W. C. *** Whenever it is desired that any person should be appre hended, and the Name is given, it is indispensably necessary that an Information should be made and sworn to before a Magistrate, of the Offence charged, and an attested copy thereof, together with the Advertisement, forwarded to the Editor for insertion. As no charge is made for the insertion of any article in the POLICE GAZETTE, all betters addressed to the Editor must be prepaid, otherwise the insertion will not be made. It is requested that the Names and Descriptions of Deserters and Absentees from the Militia, as well as those from the regular Army, intended for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, may be addressed to " The Under Secretary of State for War, War Office, Pall Mall, London, S. W.," as they cannot be published without his authority. INFORMATIONS. ARSON AND WILFUL BURNING. On the 3rd instant, at abouV a 6- 15 p. m., a straw Stack, of about 7 tons, was set on fire. £ 20 reward will be paid to any person giving such information to Superintendent Laxton, Nantwich, or to Inspector Wood, Crewe, as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders.— Bow- street, February 8. FORGERY. Further information respecting JOSEPH STURMAN, of Manea, labourer, charged at Chatteris, in the Isle of Ely, with four cases of forgery, advertised in the Police Gazette of the 12th December last: he has since then been seen at Old Trafford, Manchester, and Sheffield, which latter place he left a few weeks ago, and he is supposed to be still in Yorkshire or the adjoining counties ; he is fond of playing sleight- of- hand tricks, and whistling by placing his fingers in his mouth, and sometimes like a bird, & c. Information to be given to Inspector Mitchell, Chatteris, Isle of_ Ely, Cambs, who holds a warrant for his apprehension, and will pay all reasonable expenses.— Bow- street, February 8. ROBBERY AND LARCENY FROM THE PERSON. Stolen on the evening of tne 3rd instant, from the person of Robert Smith, at Reading, an old- fashioned silver lever stop Watch, with an imitation gold curb Chain and spade Guinea attached ; seven £ 5 Notes, and about £ 10 in Gold. By two men and a woman: one is about 50 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, pale complexion, brown hair, clean shaved, scar on right cheek, stout make, and broad shoulders ; dressed in dark brown overcoat, dark trousers, and fashion- able hat ; carried a travelling rug, black on one side and leopard spots the other ; had the appearance of a horse dealer ; the other is about 26 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, dark complexion, black hair, little or no whiskers or moustache, dark blue loose jacket, dark trousers, black and red plaid scarf, and fashionable silk hat ; and the woman is about 40 years of age, rather short and stout, dark com- plexion, blotches or red spots on nose and lower part of face, speaks with an Irish or north country accent ; dressed in a black silk dress, black or blue cloth jacket, and dark bonnet with black Shetland fall; she is very fond of talking about theatricals. Information to be given to Chief Superinten- dent Purchase, Borough Police Office, Beading, Berks. — Bow- street, February 8. Apron, marked ' Field' with ' X.' at side ; and a small silver pencil Case, with stone at top. Information to be given to Superintendent Davis, Canterbury.— Bow- street, February 8. The house of Mrs. Jervis, Bankside, Darlaston, near Stone, was broken into on the 30th ultimo, and the following money and property stolen, viz. : Twelve Shillings in Silver ; one silk Neckerchief, blue ground and white spots ; one ditto, white ground and coloured border ; one satin ditto, blue plaid, stained with perspiration, and two ditto, plain black. Information to be given to Superintendent Crisp, Stone, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, February 6. During the night of the lst instant, or early the follow- ing morning, the house of Mr. George Campbell, of Bangor, Flintshire, was entered, and a lady's gold lever Watch, much scratched about the key hole, with a heavy imitation jet Chain attached, and lj lbs. of Butter, stolen therein. Information to be given to Superintendent Bolton, Hanmer, Flintshire. — Bow- street, February 6. Between 5 p. m. on the 30th ultimo, and 2 p. m. on the 4th instant, the parish church of Fulmer, Bucks, was feloniously entered, and an English eight day Dial, in mahogany case, maker supposed to be Collindridge, stolen therein. Information to be given to Superintendent Dunham, Slough, Bucks.— Bow- street, February 6. During the night of the lst instant, the rectory house, Widford, was burglariously entered, and the following articles, the property of the Rev. W. M. Buswell, stolen therein : four silver- plated Dishes, with covers and handles; a plated sacramental Chalice ; a Paten and a Flagon, both silver ; an Alms Dish, plated ; two silver Thimbles ; a Tea Spoon and a Mustard Spoon, both silver, and marked ' W. M. B. ;' a silver Top of a muffineer ; and two- thirds of a bottle of Gin. In- formation to be given to Superintendent Dobson, Constabulary Office, Chelmsford, Essex.— Bow- street, February 3. Stolen from a dwelling- house in Madeley, by means of house- breaking, during divine service, on the evening of the 29th ultimo : £ 8 in Silver ; £ 3 in Gold ; a compensation balance, silver lever Watch, jewelled, silver face, gold figures, steel fingers, the figures and dots of the seconds finger are rubbed off by cleaning, the face opens and shuts very easy, wants cleaning, a bras3 albert Chain is attached to it, with a set of Charms ; a little Boot, brown and white striped; a little Hammer ; a little Steel, red coloured, all cut out of Aberystwith stone ; a common Key ; and a pair of small gold Ear- rings, the property of Thomas Evans. Information to be given to Chief Superintendent Richardson, Wellington, or to Sergeant Wyley, Madeley, Salop.— Bow- street, February 3. Between 6 and 7 p. m. on the 21st, ulUmo, the dwelling- house of Ann Davenport, of Astbury, near Congleton, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a black silk Dress, one row of black inch velvet round the bottom of skirt slate- coloured merino Dress, black velvet braid round sleeves and cuffs; a brown stuff Dress, trimmed brown ribbon velvet, very narrow, and brown buttons down front; a puce- colour rep Dress Piece ; two women's black cloth Jackets, trimmed with black beads ; a brown cotton Dress ; a pair of woman's elastic- side Boots, half worn ; a white flannel Petti- coat ; and a pair of black Stockings. Information to be : iven to Superintendent Roubottom, Middlewich, or to Sergeant Naylor, Cheshire Constabulary, Astbury, near Congleton.— Bow- street, February 1. Between 9 p. m. 29th and 5' 30 a. m. on the 30th ultimo, the dwelling- house of William Dobson Adams, of Eease Heath, Worleston, near Nantwich, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : four silver Tea Spoons, marked ' A. D.;' a nickle silver Tea Spoon ; two boy's Overcoats, one a rough blue cloth, lined with blue and black woollen plaid, the other black cloth, lined with serge ; a pair of women's elastic- side Boots, nearly new, No. 4 size ; a pair of men's lace- up water- tight Boots, newly soled and heeled ; a woollen Shirt, dark grey with red stripe, nearly new, button holes worked with silk; an old white flannel Petticoat ; an old red flannel Shirt; and about 1 lb. of cooked Mutton. Information to be given to Superintendent Laxton, County Police, Nantwich, Cheshire.— Bo° o- street, February 1. when closed, in a black case; a Table Cover, black ground, with gold coloured flowers and fancy pattern border of same colour; a Table Cover with brown ground, shades black, with gold coloured flowers and fancy pattern border same colour ; five Anti- Macassars in different coloured wools, four woven and one crochet work, one having a hole in the centre; a pair of Blankets with a border across the ends, marked ' JEP' with red in the corner; a gentleman's light grey cloth Dressing- gown, with two pockets outside ; several Books, of which no particular description can be given, but may be relative to the Society of Friends, and may have the name of ' Dixon,'' Ayton,' or ' Pearce,' written therein; also a piece of light lilac- coloured Print, of small pattern, and used as a cover. Supposed by a man from 25 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fair complexion, brown hair and whiskers, which may be shaved off ; dressed in black or brown coat, white slop underneath, and light moleskin trousers. Stolen sometime between 8- 30 on the 26th, and 7 a. m. on the 27th instant, from No. 2 co- operative stores, Park- street, Congleton : 22 lbs. of Limerick Twist, or roll Tobacco; 5 lbs. of cut Tobacco ; 8 lbs. of mixed Tea, in a green and gilt tin Canister, marked ' No. 3 ;' 6 lbs. of candied Peel, in Box ; 4^ lbs. of fresh Butter, peg marked; 5 sweeping Brushes, price mark in ink ; 5 lbs. of Bacon ; two boy's linen shop Aprons, with bibs ; 2 door Keys ; and about 10s. in Bronze. Information to be given to Superintendent Bohanna, Police Station, Congleton.— Bow- street, January 30. ? BURGLARY AND HOUSE BREAKING. On the evening of the 6th instant the house of Mrs. Mary Binsley, at Wombourn, was entered, and the following property stolen : an old- fashioned silver Watch, horizontal escapement, jewelled in five holes ; three silver tea Spoons, engraved ' E. B.;' three silver tea Spoons, engraved ' J. W.;' a pair of silver sugar Tongs, marked ' E. D.;' a gold Bing, set with turquoise ; a gold Eing, set with different stones ; two cameo Brooches ; a Locket; a gold Ear- ring, set with garnet; a gold Key ; several small French and German Coins, in Silver and Copper ; a hair Bracelet, with gold snaps ; and about 16s. in Silver. Information to be given to Inspector MacCrea, Tettenhall, or to P. C. Biddulph, Wombourn, Wol verhampton.— Brno- street, February 8. Stolen, by means of housebreaking, three boxes of Cigars ; one fancy Box ; two scent Bottles, with silver Topi a woollen Antimacassar ; a green Necktie ; two or three bottles of Gin and Brandy, from Casks ; a quantity of Tobacco, Bread, and Butter ; a few postage Stamps ; a linen On the morning of the 31st ultimo, the shop of Mr. J. Winkle, High- street, Westbromwich, watchmaker, was broken into, and the following property stolen therein : two English silver lever Watches, silver dials, maker J. Winkle, West Bromwich, Nos. 1844 and 24037; a silver lever Watch, enamelled dial, No. 1341; two f- plate silver lever Watches, hands set at back, Nos. 12034 and 12030 ; two silver Geneva Watches,' Nos. 5432 and 53423; and about thirty gold wedding Eings, marked ' W. S.' Supposed by two men of the following description: one tall and stout, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, and small brown whiskers ; dressed in cloth cap and long dark overcoat; the other a stout man dressed in billycock hat and short dark overcoat. £ 5 reward will be paid by Mr. J. Winkle on recovery of the property and conviction of the offenders. Information to be given to Superintendent Woollaston, West Bromwich, Staffordshire. — Bow- street, February 1. Stolen, by means of housebreaking, from the marine residence of Joseph Pearce, Esq., Manke- on- the- Sea, during the night of the 20th instant : a mahogany Box, from 3 to 4 feet long, about 6 inches square, containing a large brass with different lenses, mounted on brass HORSE AND CATTLE STEALING. In possession of the Police at Coventry, and supposed to have been stolen : a very dark brown Mare, 14 hands high, 6 years old, long switch tail, small pateh of white on near side of rump ; ' also a dark iron- grey Mare, 14 hands 3 ii . lies high, 6 years old, half bred, off fore foot slightly white, long coat, the tail has been docked within the last few days Informa- tion to be given to Chief Constable Norris, City Police Office, Coventry.— Bow- street, February 8. Committed for trial at the next assizes at Aylesbury, on two charges of larceny: WILLIAM HAEVEY, alias KING, a blacksmith, 26 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, fresh complexion, grey eyes, brown hair inclined to be sandy, whiskers shaved off, tuft of sandy hair on chin, and scar on right arm from a cut or burn ; dressed in a dark brown double- breasted coat with velvet collar, black cloth vest, grey mixture cloth trousers, white muffler with yellow and black stripe, and soft dark cloth billycock hat ; states he is a native of Darlaston, Staffordshire. He had in his possession a smaE Pocket Diary and Almanack ( Pawsey's) for 1865, with red morocco cover ; also the following pawn tickets : one dated 8th Dec., 1870, for a Suit, 6s., at James B. Thrap's, 200, Brick- lane, Spitalfields; one 9th Dec., 1870, for a Suii, 8s., at Joseph Jones's, 31, Church- street, Spitalfields ; one dated 21st Dec., for a Greatcoat, 10s., at John Bressey's, High- street, Stratford ; one 21st Dec., 1870, for a silver Watch, at John Willitt's, Essex- buildings, Stratford. Informa- tion to be given to Superintendent Denson, Aylesbury, or to Inspector Chaplin, Wendover, Bucks.— Bow- street, Feb. 8. Stolen on the night of the 4th instant, from a marsh near the river Thames, in the parish of Stone, near Dartford : two Kent ewe Sheep, supposed to have been taken away in a boat, the sheep weie slaughtered in the marsh, and the skins and entrails left behind. Information to be given to Superinten- dent Brandon, Kent County Constabulary, Dartford.— Bow- street, February 8. Stolen from a field at Much Wenlock, during the night of the 4th inst., a mouse coloured mare Pony, aged, between 12 and 13 hands high, light star on forehead, black nose, mane, and tail, short ears, hollow back, and newly shod, the iroperty of Isaac Jackson Pitcherman, Much Wenlock. Information to be given to Superintendent Ivins, Bridgnorth, or to Sergeant Bullock, Much Wenlock, Salop.— Bow- street, February 8. Description of two men in custody at Brackley, charged with stealing four Horses at Steene on the 19th ultimo, the property of Thomas Horwood, Esq. : JOSEPH WILSON, 23 years of age, .5 feet 6 inches high, fair complexion, thin Telescope, fitted pedestal with claws; a Telescope, 16 to 18 inches long when closed, in a green baize bag ;" a Telescope, about 9 inches long [ 30th ult. for description of horses. face, brown hair cut short, no whiskers or moustache, grey eyes, speck on right, and dressed in a brown cloth coat with raised seams and velvet collar, vest same material, brown mixture cloth trousers with dark stripe down sides, fitting tight to leg, black and white worsted muffler round neck, black soft felt hat turned up at sides, and lace- up shoes ; states he is a native of Coventry, where he left about a month ago, and a hawker; and ALFRED SMITH, 16 years of age, 5 feet 1 inch high, fair complexion, broad nose, brown hair ( rather curly) cut short, dark eyes, and dressed in a brown mixed suit, with dark stripe, raised seams, and velvet collar to coat, trousers fitting tight to leg, red and white wrapper round neck, black round hard hat, lace- up shoes, and wears a ring on fourth finger of left hand ; states he belongs to Blackheath, London. A third man, who goes by the name of JOE, is implicated, and not yet apprehended : he is about 35 years of age, 6 feet high, powerfully built, broad features, dark hair, small tuft of hair under bottom lip, and dressed in a brown or dark suit, with dark stripe and raised seams, and black soft felt hat; he wore a gold watch and chain. See Police Gazette of the February 8. Information to be given to Superintendent Osborn, Towcester, or to Inspector Botterell, Brackley, Northamptonshire.— Bow- street, February 6. Description of VINCENT TUCKER, charged with stealing ten Sheep, at Middlezoy, in the county of Somerset, on the 30th ultimo, and selling them in Bristol : he is 31 years of age, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet inches high, lost the top of the little finger of the left hand ; dressed in a dark grey suit, and black bowler hat, was discharged from Portland Prison on the 26tli Nov- ember last, having been sentenced to 7 years penal servitude, on 15th December, 1864, at Taunton for burglary. Infor- mation to be given to Superintendent Jeffs, North Petherton, Somerset, who holds a warrant for his apprehension— Bow- street, February 3. Stolen from a field at Bloxwich, near Walsall, on the 17th instant, the property of John Griffiths, blacksmith, Bloxwich, a light brown horse Pony, aged, about 13 hands high, has several saddle marks on back, white star on forehead, and in low condition. Information to be given to Chief Constable Cater, Walsall, Staffordshire.— Brno- street, January 30. Stolen on the night of the 19th instant, from a field in the parish of Steane, near Brackley, the property of Mr, Thomas Horwood, a farmer, four nag Horses, of the follow- ing description : one a black Mare, aged, in foal, 15$ hands high, a white mark on off fore leg from wound; one a bay Mare, 4 years old, 15 hands high; one a bay Mare, 3 years old, one white heel, 15 J hands high ; and a bay colt Pony, 2 years old, about 13. hands high, white heel, and thorough breed. The above Horses have been traced to London, on the 19th instant, and were seen in the possession of three men of the following description : one about 40 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, dark hair, swarthy complexion, and has lost the first joint of the second finger of left hand ; dressed in dark cloth coat, vest, and trousers, and soft felt hat. Another about 30 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, sallow complexion, and dark hair ; dressed in dark coat, light trousers, and soft felt hat. And the other about 20 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, slight made, and dark complexion ; dressed in dark qloth coat, light trousers, and soft felt hat. £ 25 reward will be paid by Mr. Horwood, op the apprehen- sion and conviction of the offenders. Information to be given to Superintendent Osborn, Towcester, or to Inspector Botterell. Brackley.— Bow- street, January 30. Stolen from a fold- yard at Sancton, during the night of the 27th instant, a cleanly made chesnut cart Horse, rising 4 years old, about 16 hands high, in fair working condi- tion, carries his tail a little to one side, and supposed to have a little white on the hind fetlocks; and a pair of carting Blinders, newly cleaned, the property of Elizabeth Turner, farmer, Sancton. Information to be given to Superintendent Long, East Riding Constabulary, Market Weighton, Brough, Yorkshire,— Bow- street, January 30. Further information respecting the light- brown cob Horse stolen from the stable at Brahe Mill, parish of Hagley on tire night of the 13th instant. It was seen on the 20th instant in the neighbourhood of Dudley, drawing a cart, in the possession of a man who recently made his escape frotn a lunatic asylum in Staffordshire; he is supposed to be now in the mining districts of Worcestershire or Staffordshire. Information to be given to Superintendent Freeman, Stour- bridge, Worcestershire.— Bow- street, January 30. Found straying,, . supposed to have been stolen, a dark brown mare Pony, aged, about 12 hands high, white star on forehead, hind foot white, and a sore on cr6st. Information to b. 6- given to Superintendent Freeman, Stourbridge, Worcestershire.— Bow- street January 30. absconded in dark clothes, cloth cap, and lace- up boots ; he works as a painter and glazier, has been in the Army, and is marked with the letter D. A warrant for his apprehension is in the hands of the Borough Police, who will pay all reasonable expenses on his apprehension. Information to be given to Head Constable Jarrett, Police Office, Hertford — Bow- street, February 3. Absconded from Nailsworth on the 27tji ultimo, charged with embezzling the sum of £ 20, the monies of his masters, Messrs. Flint: JOHN EDWARD CHAPMAN, a clerk, 19 or 20 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, grey eyes, light hair, fair complexion, no beard, moustache, or whiskers, rather slightly built ; dressed in a monkey jacket and black deerstalker hat, and carries a small leather case ; it is supposed that he will emigrate. Information to be given to Superin- tendent Hanbridge, Stroud, Gloucestershire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, February 3. Stolen from the dwelling- house of Charles Bennett, Kidsgrove, on the 27th ultimo : a blue pilot cloth Jacket, velvet collar, lined with black stuff ; a black cloth Vest, lined with red and green striped material; and a white knitted woollen Muffler. By a man who lodged in the house the previous night, about 22 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, and has a mark or scab on right cheek ; dressed in dark clothes, and black hat, with white buckle at the side. Information to be given to Superintendent Baker, Constabu- lary Office, Tunstall, or at any Police Office in the county of Stafford.— Bow- street, February 1. Absconded, charged with stealing from 5, St. Stephen's- crescent: a red Indian Shawl ; two plain Indian Dresses ; a pair of Blankets ; a pair of silk Stockings : a nurse, 45 years of age, middle height, fair complexion and hair ; dressed in a black bonnet, light waterproof cloak, side- spring boots.-— Metropolitan Police, X Division, February 1. Absconded, charged with embezzling £ 2 9s., from No. 72, Drury- lane, a man, 25 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes, no toes on right foot, limps in walking; dressed in dark walking ooat, black vest and trousers, side- spring boots, and tommy dad hat.— Metropolitan Police, E Division, February 1. Stolen on the night of the 28th ultimo, from the dwelling- house of Edward Perrin, of Chorley, near Macclesfield, Cheshire, a silver lever Watch, maker Stokes, Macclesfield, No. 7060, bull's- eye glass, with silver Guard attached. By a man ( lodger), about 20 years of age, short and stout, round face, and seal on right cheek as if from an old wound ; dressed in a Russian cord jacket, velvet collar, and black silk handker- chief with white spots on it. Supposed to be a native of Shropshire. Information to be given to Superintendent Williamson, County Police Office, Macclesfield.-~ Bow- street, February 1. FELONIES. ( Not otherwise described). Between the 2nd and 4th instant, the parish church of Fulmer, was broken and entered and stolen therein : a round English made Clock, with mahogany case, maker supposed to be Collinbridge. Information to be given to Superintendent Dunham, Slough, or to Inspector Sutton, Iver, Bucks.— Bow- February 8. LARCENY AND EMBEZZLEMENT. Absconded from Cannock, Staffordshire, charged with embezzling the Monies of his employers : JAMES DAVID REYNOLDS, a clerk, about 43 years of age, 5 feet high, stput build, fair complexion, grey eyes, sandy beard and moustache, both being short and thick ; dressed when he left home in dark trousers, a top coat of rough material, and of light brown mixture, with black bone buttons, a black felt hat, with low round crown, had on goloshes, and walked lame from tender feet, and carried a dark stick with yellow handle: when last seen he was going from the High to the Low Level Station jit Wolverhampton, at about 4 p. m. on the 3rd instant. £ 25 reward will be paid for such information as will lead to his apprehension. Stolen from the house of Richard Williams, brewer, Penygloddfa, early on the 3rd instant, a dark cloth speckled Waistcoat, with sleeves, cloth worn off the second button from top : by a tramping carpenter, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fair hair, sandy whiskers and moustache, and wore a round hard hat ; of shabby appear- anoe. Absconded from Santon Downham, Suffolk, on the 26th ultimo, charged with obtaining by false pretences the sum of £ 5 from William Oldman, of Thetford, ADAM JUDE, a farmer, between 30 and 40 years of age, about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, light complexion, very little whiskers, speaks the Norfolk dialect, and usually wears a light coloured beaverteen coat and high boots. He was accompanied by his wife and three children, the eldest a boy 11 or 12 years of age. Jude left Ely on the 26th ultimo, by train, taking tickets for Peterborough, and inquired the route to Hull, to which place he said he was going. On the morning of the 29th ultimo, the body of a male child, about 3 weeks old, was found drowned in the River Eamont, Westmoreland, wrapped in a woman's chemise, add tied up in a square piece of flannel, nearly new, within which was a stone weighing 12 lbs. ; the child was dressed in a white calico chemise, trimmed with edging round neck and sleeves, and small flannel band round waist. An inquest was held and an open verdict returned. A., a native of Sarrelouis, and educated at Berlin, lie professes to be seeking subscriptions to enable him to publish a theological work. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for begging, at Chester, in November, 1870, and was sentenced to two months' imprisonment at Stonehaven, N. Two men and a woman are suspected, who lodged at the inn, and left the same day : one man is about 5 feet 7 inches high, sallow complexion, dark brown hair and bushy whiskers, stout figure, and has the appearance of a navvy ; dressed in a white slop, cord trousers, and brown cap, with ear lappels. The other man is about 35 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, dark complexion and hair, slight figure, supposed resided in Eastbourne, and is a tramp ; dressed in dark clothes and cap, with cheesecutter peak, and light shoes. Found in the possession of three men in custody at Coventry, supposed to have been stolen : a dark iron grey half- bred Mare, rising 6 years old, 14 hands 3 inches high, off fore foot slightly white, long coat, and tail very recently docked ; a very dark brown Mare, rising 6 years old, long switch tail; a light spring Trap, patent axle, painted green, picked out with light green, top rail near side has been broken and repaired, one felloe in near wheel damaged, one spoke in off wheel cracked, and top step broken off; a set of single Harness, brass mounted, iron hames, ' W. G.' on blinkers of the bridle, and twisted ring snaffle bit. The following is a description of the men : GEORGE GILBERT, 40 years of age, 5 feet 6J inches high, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, pale complexion, slight dark whiskers at side of face, and dressed in a brown top- coat, velvet collar, blue cloth under coat and waistcoat, corduroy trousers, lace- up boots, red and white plaid muffler, and billycock hat; GEORGE SMITH, 25 years of age, looks older, 6 feet high, dark brown hair, blue eyes, no whiskers or moustache, nose rather prominent and raised at tip, and dressed in brown greatcoat, raised seams, green and black striped tweed waistcoat, corduroy trousers, black and white plaid muffler, and billycock bat; and PETER WILSON, 35 years of age, 6 feet high, florid complexion, thin features, brown hair, no whiskers, small tuft of hair on chin, collar bone recently broken, and dressed in a dirty pepper and salt coloured coat, waistcoat, and trousers. These men occasion- ally hawk brushes, cheese, & c., and are known at Birmingham and Banbury. Wilson has relations in Ipswich.
