Stolen from the person at Kirton- in- Lindsey, on the 24th instant, a silver detached lever Watch, with silver dial, and gold figures, No. 7792, a silver altiert Chain attached, with a silver Seal and Key. Stolen from the person of a gentleman at Romford, Essex, on the evening of the 26th instant, a double- bottomed gold f plate lever Watch, maker B. T. Builton, 29, Beckford- row, Walworth, London, No. 3578 Information to be given to Superintendent Gilpin, Romford, Essex.— Bow- street, June 29. Stolen from the person of F. H. Matthews, Esq., of Paddington, driiug the review in Windsor Great Park, on the 20th instant, a gold Watch, maker Frodshatn, London, No. 7030. Also, a gold Watch, white dial, maker Samuel Haynes, Patrick- street, Cork, winds up at back. Information to be given to Superintendent Davis, Borough Police Station, New Windsor.— Bow- stre> t, June 24. BURGLARY AND HOUSE BREAKING. During the night of the 24th instant, the dwelling- house of John Jones, of Rowton, was broken and entered, and the followipg property btolen therein : a pair of Blucher Boots, brass eyelets ; a cotton cord V. st, barragan back aud sleeves ; a white cotton Slop ; three cotton Shirts, one white, two blue and white stripes ; a pint tin Can, about 3 lbs. of Bread, 1 lb. of Cheese, and ^ ib. ot Bacon. Supposed by a inan, who has been working at the place, about 23 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, brown hair, fresh complexion, full face, no whiskers, and dressed in black cloth cap, coat, and vest, and dark blue trousers with light blue stripes. Information to be given to Superintendent Wilson, Tattenhall, or Sergeant Palin, Waverton, near Chester.— Bow- street. June 29. During the night of the 26th instant, the dwelling- house of John Dunning, of Handley, Cheshire, was burglariously broken into, and the following property stolen therein : a linsey Petticoat, a blue and white striped cotton Shirt, a white cotton Shirt, a child's green and black plaid Frock, a check Apron, a white cotton Chemise, a white Neckerchief, and a loaf of Bread. Information to be given to Superintendent Wilson, Tattenhall, Cheshire.— Bow- sireet, June 29. Between 2 and 5 p. m. on the 22nd instant, the dwelling house of Thomas Lindsay, at Lambourne Woo lands, Berks, was broken into, and a 4 lb. Loaf of Bread, some cooked Meat, and an old linen Towel ( can be identified hy the owner) stolen therein. Supposed by a tramp, about 35 years ol age. 5 teet 6 or 6 inches high, dark complexion, hair, aud whiskers, and dressed in a dirty brown slop, old cord trousers toru about the legs, and old black billycock hat. Information to he given to Superintendent O'Neill, Wantage, Berks.— Bow- stnet, June 29 Between 3 and 5- 30 p. m. on the 19ih instant, the dwelling- house of Mr. Benjamin Durrant, Windsor, was broken into and the following property s< ol> n: 4 dozen silver Spoons, 2 dozen silver Fork-, large and small size, marked ' B C. D. ;' a silver Salver, marked ' Benjamin Durrant, Clarence- villas, Windsor ;' a gold Brooch, with stones ; a gold Watch, and £ 1 in Silver. Information to be given to Superintendent Davis, Borough Police Station, New Windsor..— Bow- street, June 24. During the night of the 21st instant the house of Mr. John Hill, parish of Bobbing, was brokeu and entered, aud stolen therein : a pair of Wellington Boots, nearly new, a pair of balmoral Boots, toe- capped, the sole of right boot cracked across; a black cloth Coat, sleeves lined with red; and a brown- handled Knife. By two men of the following d. scrip tion : about 25 years of age; one about 6 feel 6 inches high, the other about 5 teet 8 inches, both dressed in dirty white slops and close- fitting ca(. s : have been employed unloading barges. Information to lie g ven to Superintendent Mayne. Police Court, Sittingbourne.— boa- street, June 24. During the 18th instant, a labourer's cottage at Bwlch- y- Cibby, near Llaufyllin, was broken into, and stolen therein: a brown velvet shooting Jacket, a white round or short mole- skin Jacket, a red Waistcoat, with spots in it, a pair of cotton Breeches, pearl buttous on knees, a pair of kerseymere Gaiters, pearl buttons, a black soft junerow hat, a fine white calico Shirt, cloth collar aud wiistbauds, two silk Neckerchiefs, two pairs of wooileu Stockings, a Half- Sovereign, and a 2s. Piece. A tramp who sleeps in out- of- tbe way farm- buildings, is sus- pected ; he is dressed better than tramps generally, is 31 years of age, 6 feet 9 or 10 ioches high, brown hair, grey eyijs, thin face, hollow cheeks, and both his arms are tattooed ; he was committed to Montgomery i^ aol for vagrancy, ( with seven others) in the name of EDWARD PRESTON ( see Police Gazette of 18th ultimo), it is likely that he is wearing the stolen bat, as he left an old hat and jacket in a wood near the cuttage. Information to be given to Police Constable Breeze, Llaasainfffraid, or at the Chief Constable's Office, Welshpool, Montgomeryshire.— Bow- street, June 24. Description of a man charged with committing the bur- glaries at Aberhafesp Rectory, advertised in the Police Gazette, of the 17th instant aud also at Rhiew Bank, near Welshpool, advertised in the Police Gazette of the 19th instant; all the articles stolen from the latter place have been recovered, but the Dessert Spoon, and silver plate stolen from Aberhafesp, have not been found ; he gives the name of JOSEPH CLIFFORD, about 40 years ot age, 6 feet 3 inches high, dark brown hair, small saudy whiskers, blue eyes, slightly pock- pitted. rather fresh complexion ; dressed in a dark mixture cloth jacket, waistcoat, and trousers, lace- up boots, and black hard round crown hat ; states he is a native of Reading, Beikshire. Information to be given to Acting Chief Constable Danily, Newtown, Montgomeryshire,— Bow- street, June 24. HORSE AND CATTLE STEALING. Found on the 24th instant, at Bridgwater, Somerset, supposed to have been stolen, a red Heifer, white face, and white unt'er belly, in good condition. Information to be given to Superintendent Lear, Bridgwater, Somerset.— Bow- street, June 29. Strayed from Cryffronydd, about a fortnight ago, and since supposed to have been stolen : a bay hack Mare, about 14 hands high, 8 years old, black legs mane and tail, blemished on the off stifle, and saddle marked. Information to be given to Sergeant Strefford, Welshpool, Montgomeryshire.— Bow- street, June 29. Stolen from Thornborough, Bucks, on the 7th instant, a red and white spotted short horned Bull, about 2 years old. Information to be given to Inspector Andrews, Constabulary Station, Maids Moreton, Bucks.— Bow- street, June 26. Stolen from Mackin Farm, near Wincanton, on the 2' 2nd instant, a grey Donkey, aced, has been roughly clipped, and had a sore in centre of i's back, off side. Absconded, JAMES STEBB1NGS, of Grimston, labourer, charged with having, on the 16th instant, stolen a Colt, the property of William Bowles. Stebbings is 27 years of age, 6 feet I inch high, weighs about 14 stone, and dressed in a short white slop, slate coloured cloth trousers, and cloth cap with peak ; he is in the habit of acting with low horse dealers, and is well known in the counties ot Cambridge, Lincoln, and York, and in Plaistow Marsh, London. Information to be given to Superintendent Rose, Docking, King's Lynn, or to Inspector Carter, Grimston, King's Lynn, Norfolk.— Bow- st., June 26. Found, supposed to have been stolen, at Farningham, Kent, on the 19th instant, 5 half bred old Sheep, three ot which are wether, and two ewes ; also 3 Down Lambs, marked with red ochre dowa and across the back. Information to be given to Superintendent Brandon, Police Station, Dartford, Kent.— Bow- street, June 24, Stolen from a field at Bloxwich, near Walsall, on the 18th instant, a light brown horse Pony, 3 years old, 12 hands high, off hind fetlock white, long tail, and in good condition, Iu formation to be given to Chief Constable Cater, Walsall, or to Sergeant Martin, Bloxwick, near Walsall, Staffordshire.— Bow- street, June 24. Stolen from Shellwood Farm, in the parish of Leigh, on the night of the 16th inst.: a bay Geldiog, about 15 hands high, about 12 years old, black legs, broom tail, star on forehead, broad between eyes full eyed, two broken knees, off hiud shoe square, and bled uuder mane. Stolen from a stable at Harwood Dale, on the 16th or 17th instant, a blue pilot Coat, a j- an Jacket ( recovered) : sup- posed by a man about 27 or 28 years of age. 6 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout made, sandy hair, ginger whisker-— meeting under the chin ; dresBed in a grey cloth jacket, woollen curd trousers, billycock hat, turned up at the sides, strong boots. Supposed to have been stolen, from the parish of Old Buckenham, Norfolk, on the n'ght of the 28thJ ult., an iron- grey mare Pony, 4 years old, 11 hands high ; has a collar mark on the near shoulder, also a mark on one ear. Information to be giveu to Superintendent Jones, East Harling, Norfolk. Bow- street, June 24. Supposed stolen on the 12th inst., from a field at Dim- kirk, in the parish of Westbromwich, a dark brown Horse, about 15 hands high, aaed, star on forehead. Smith, Greets- green.— Bow- sireet, June 24. LASCENYA55 0 EMBEZZLEMENT- Stolen at 3 a m. on the 18th instant, from a clothes line at the parish of Bridge. near Canterbury, the property of R. Scott : a pair of flannel Drawers, a flannel Guernsey ( which have been recovered), a flannel Petticoat, and a coarse wrapper Apron. By two men, one a foreigner, from 25 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 iuches high, slight built, very dark sunburnt face, dark h » ir, small dark whiskers, dark thick moustache; dre68ed in dark blue coat, whith buttons up very tight, dark trousers, and dark low- crowned hat. Description of. two men who absconded from Stafford on the morning of the 23rd instant, charged with stealing £ 10 10s. from the person of Charles Machin : JOSEPH MACHIN, 22 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, light hair and complexion, round features, and has a slight cast in one eye; dressed in a black cloth jacket and trousers, light vest, and dark cloth cap without peak. CHARLES HORNE, 25 years of age, 6 feet 6 inches high, dark hair aud complexion, black moustache, thin pale face, aud high cheekbones ; dressed iu a black cloth coat, vest, and trouser--, black billycock hat, and lace- up boots. They are shoemakers, and are suppos- d to have gone either to Worcester or Northampton. Information to be given to Inspector Bowen, Guildhall, Stafford, who holds a warrant for their apprehension.— Bow- strcrt, June 29. HENRY SCOTT, a greengrocer and ginger beer dealer, charged woh larceny as a Bailee : he is ahout 32 or 34 year-, ot age, 6 feet 9 or 10 inches high fresh complexion, ginger coloured hair, tuft of ginger coloured whiskers on end of chin, blue eyes, raiher tender, proportionate make, walks erect, and wears ear rings ; supposed dressed in dark clothes. He formerly resided in Fifeshire. Absconded on the night, of the 19th instant, from the parish of Riston, in the East Riding ot Yorkshne. two men ot the following description, charted with stealing six Bottles of Porter, the property of Mr. Henry Lacy, innkeeper : One is about 30 years of a, e, 6 feet 8 iuches high, very dark complex! n, si. ui make, diity looking, round fat face, dark hair long and bushy behind, and pockpitted ; by trade a shoemaker, and of drunken habits. The oiher is about 18 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, brown hair, fair complexiou, slender make, aud dressed in a dark coat and vest, grey mixture tiou- ers, strong lace- up boots, and daik lap ; he is a tailor's apprentice. Information to he given to Superintendent Wright, Eaet Riding Constabulary, Police Station, Leven, Yorkshire, who holds a warrant for their appiehension. Bou n're^ t, June 24. Description of HENRY HAWKINS, late of Wolver- hampton, who has absconded, charg. d wn^ feloniously stealing £ 14 in Gold, belonging to Alfred Savage : h « is about 22 years of s^ e 5 feet high ; dressed in a brown tweed suit and billy- cock bat; supposed to be in company of horse breakers or grooms. Stolen from the parish of Linton, in the county of Here- ford, on the 20' h inst, a Scythe, which has been recovered : by a man about 35 years of age, 6 feet 7 inches high, blind left eye, little or no whiskers; dressed in dirty whiie slop with band rouud the bottom, blue guernsey inside his trousers, light trousers aud lace up boots. Stolen on the 22nd instant, from Daventry, Northampton- shire, from th « dwelling- house of Edward Waterfield. wfiere he had lodged ' he two previous nights : .1 brown silk Dress, a black scarf Shawl. a 4 lb Loaf 4 lbs of Beef, and a quantity ot Tea aud Sugar ; by a man of Hn- following description, about 34 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, hr vv. i hair, no » hiskeis, sunburnt tace, in kneed, and turns his toes out when walking ; dressed in whits slop, dirty wideawake hat, worsted cord trousers, and heavy nailed boots. He gives the name of JOB, alias CHARLES CLARKE, of Potterspury, near Stony Stratford, and has the appearance of an excavator. Hewitt, Windsor, black walking coat, with flip pockets on hips, and silk binding, double hreaslrd vest to match, black and white striped trousers wiih brui. d hlack stripe at sides, pink striped braces, dark blue scarf, spring- side hoots, a. d red striped fancy shirt; states he is a waiter, and a naiive of Suuderland. Saunders is about 17 years of i- ge, 6 feet 6J inches bieb, brown curly hair cut short, blue eyes, fair complexion, no whiskers or mou- tuche ; dressed in velvet walking coat. with silk binding, and flap pockets on hips, grey and dark striped trousers, wuti broad stripe at side, ve- t of same material, brown necktie with white spots, spring- side hoots, with drab cloth tops, and white pearl buttons, black low crowned felt hat, white shirt ami white s'aud up collar; states he is a servant, and a native of Birmingham. These men are believed fo have been previously convicted. A man of the name of F. J. BLAKE, was in company with the above, but escaped : he is ben. ved to be the leader of the gang, and is about 40 years ot age. 6 feet 5 inches higb, wears spectacles with side " shades supposed to be blind in one eye, liit'e or no whiskers, and fair complexion; dressed in low round crowned black felt hat. black frock coat, and s une- times carries a light coloured overcoat on his arm, A warrant has been granted lor his apprehension.
