DESCRIPTION of William Barry, native of Middle- ton, or Scull, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 15th instant, in tho barony of Barrymore, parish of Kilshananan, stolen eight sheep, the property of Patrick Barry and others, from the lands of Cool- quane. He has absconded, and a warrant has been issued for bis arrest:— 18 years of ags, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, round face, light hair ; wore a cloth cap, dark corded tweed coat, dark corded tweed trowsors, dark corded tweed vest, and laced shoes. This man's clothing i- all made of tho same material, viz., dark corded tweed coat, trowsers, and vest. Fermoy, 20th Nov., 1863. ( B. 26884— 18949.) DESCRIPTION of a woman, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 18th day of No- vember, 1863, in tho barony of Cork, parish of Rath- cooney, deserted a female infant, six or eight weeks old, by leaving it exposed on tho side of the public road at Ballincrossig :— 22 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, round face, bluck eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a black cloth cloak, dark cotton dress, a pair of leather boots; all much worn ; and was deeply pockmarked about the nose. STOLEN sometime between 1st June and 17th Aug., 1863, from the residence of Mr. John Quinn, of Shanganagh, in the barony of Rathdown, and county of Dublin, one double gun, in case, with the name Mason on brass plate, with shot bags, powder flask, and the usual appointments for cleaning a gun. The fowling piece is nearly new, supposed to be made by " Clarke, Birmingham." A lady's side- saddle, nearly new, purchased at M'Mullen's, Dawson- street, but it is not known whether it his make. A large mouthing bit, with drops. A snaffle bit, with double rings. A pruning saw, and singeing iron. . Bray, 21st Nov., 1863. ( B. 25339— 6699) Fermanagh. DESCRIPTION of Ellen M'Gowan, native of Leitrim, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 15th instant, at Aghanagh, in tho barony of Clanawley, parish of Cleenish, stolen trom tbo house of Andrew Miller, where she had been in service, the sum of £ 10, consistingof two £ 3 notes, and four single notes ( numbers not known), also the following articles of wearing ap- parel, belonging to Miller's wife, viz.:-— A new silk dress, black; a black scarf shawl, and jacket, a worsted jacket, a black silk cape, a flannel petticoat, striped green aod red ; two linen chemises, a bounet, two pair of worsted stockings, a child's straw bat, white : to- gether with several other small articles, all value for about £ 7 :— 23 years of age, 5 feet f inch high, stout make, swarthy complexion, thin face, grey eyes, sharp nose, black hair; wore an old cotton dress, old green shawl over her head, leather boots, laced in front; slightly pock- marked, and a small hole in the led side of her nose, and a little in in the mouth. DESCRIPTION of two persons, unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 17th instant, in the barony of East Offaly, parish of Rathangan, burglariously entered the residence of W. F. Johnson, esq., Tullylost, and stolen therefrom the following arti- cles, viz.:— One steel- grey coat, two overcoats, brown colour; two pair of cord trowsers, two check shirts, five calico shirts, one lilac dress, one dark shawl, striped with green and other colours; two pairs of stockings, one calico sheet, six yards of unbleached calico, one brown frieze cloak, with hood; two glass cloths, striped round with red, marked F. J.; one pair of pants, two pairs of shoes, one pair of women's lea- ther boots, and other small articles :— 1. 22 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, fair face, dark eyes, regular nose, light hair; wore a jim crow hat, oil- cloth coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; smart appearance ; travels about, making and selling dust brushes, with white handles. 2. 26 years of age, 5 feet high, stout make, dark complexion, round face, dark eyes, regular nose, dark hair ; wore dark clo'hes, a black cloth cape, and white straw bonnet. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by the Resident Magistrate at Longford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown liair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years cf age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair ; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed v'est; wore an old dark cloth cap. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknowns His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 10( 1 tn any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, September 8, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black hair, a little gray; wore a black friezo body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of a cow, the property of William King, of Clonmel, which was stolen from tbe lands of Monkstown, parish of Inishlonaught, and barony of IfFa and Offa East, on the night of the 13th Novem- ber, 1863:— A stripper cow, four years old, yellow colour, with a white stripe along the back, straight horns, slightly turned at the top ; value about £ 6 10s. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that at the hour of 9 o'clock, on the night of the 22nd ultimo, Patrick Connor was way- laid and murdered on the public road at Carrick, in the barony of Fartullagh, and county of Westmeath, by a party of persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing tj> j « otio « tho perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any'per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. And His Excellency is also pleased to offer a free pardon to any person concerned in this outrage, other than the person or persons who actually committed the murder, in case of his giving such evidence as will lead to the conviction of the persons concerned with him in the crime. The above reward will be paid by George Talbot, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Mullingar, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of James Devery, native of Ballina- muddagh, who stands charged with having, on the 9th day of November, 1863, in the barony of Clonlonan, parish of Kilcleagh, stolen three heifers, which were found in his possession at Eyrecourt, county Galway : — 20 years of age, 6 feet high, slight make, sallow complexion, long thin face, grey eyes, regular nose, light brown hair; wore a hat, grey frieze frock coat, dark trowsers, dark vest.
