All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and Cry, are to be transmitted under cover addressed to the Inspector- General of Constabulary ( the words Hue- and- Cry to be written on the left hand corner of the Envelope). No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been ovvorn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. DUBLIN, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1863. Scottish Police. John Morrison ( forgery) notarrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 7th October, 1862. Dublin Police. A DIVISION. DESCRIPTION1 of the under- mentioned convicts, whose tickets of licence have been revoked:— Henry Baldwin, 24 years of ayo, 5 teet inches high, slight make, light brown hair, brownish gray eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose and mouth, round visage, fresh complexion ; and is a labourer. Born at Rathkeale, county Limerick, and has friends residing in Limerick. Was convicted at Mallow, county Cork, of robbery from the person, at the April Sessions, held on the 10th of April, 1860, and sentenced to four years' penal servitude. Alexander M'Cullagh, 24 years of age, 5 feet 10% inches high, stout make, dark hrown hair, light hrown eyebrows, blue eyes, regular nose and mouth, oval visage, fresh comp! exion; a nailer by trade, and was a soldier in 69th Regiment. Born at Enniscorthy, county Wexford, at which place his friends reside. Was convicted at Wexford, of larceny, at the Hilary Sessions, held on the 5th January, 1860, and sentenced to four years' penal servitude. Information to Superintendent Ryan, 3, Exchange- court, Dublin, who holds warrants for their arrest. 23rd Sept., 1863. DESCRIPTION of the undermentioned, who, cn the night of 15th August, 1863, stole a £ 100 note and a £ 50 note, of tho bank of Ireland, from the person of a man, who was under the influence of drink, in this city :— Rose Byrne, about 35 years of age, low size, dark brown hair, mark of an old cut on forehead, large ordinary mouth, bad, discoloured teeth, hard features, speaks a strong northern accent, and is a prostitute. It is supposed that she has gono to Waterford or Kil- kenny, and that she has the greater portion of the money still in her possession. Information to Superin- tendent Ryan, No. 3, Exchange Court, Dublin, who holds a warrant for her arrest. 9tb September, 1863. ( R. 7355.) DESCRIPTION of the undermentioned convict, whose ticket of licence has been revoked:— Michael Delany, 30 years of age, 5 feet inches high, stout make, brown hair and eyebrows, hazel eyes, regular nose and moutb, oval visage, and fresh freckled complexion. Born at North King- street, Dublin, and his wife resides in Carrick on- Suir, county Tipperary. Was convicted at Ballinasloe, county Galway, of laceny from the per- son, at the Michaelmas Session-, held on the 19th October, 1860, and sentenced to three years' penal servitude. STOLEN on the night of the 16th instant, from off tho lands of Killalane, in the barony of Balrothery East, and parish of Balrothery, seventeen lambs, not branded, the property of George Woods, esq., J. P., Milverton Hall, eleven of which have since been found straying on the public road, near Santry. DUBLIN CASTLE, June 30, 1863. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 2oth April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by the Resident Magistrate at Longford. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of XI00 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command,. THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, September 8, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws ; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of two men, names unknown, who stand charged with having, on the night of 20th Sept., 1863, in the barony of Lower Talbotstown, parish of Hollywood, forcibly entered the cabin of Mary Mis- sett, at said place, assaulted her and Eliza Casey, and robbed the former of tbe sum of £ 4 sterling in copper: 1. 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches higb, stout make, dark complexion, dark hair; wore an old banacan vest; had whiskers. 2. 22 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, sandy complexion, fair hair.
