WHEBEAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by the Resident Magistrate at Longford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years rf age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair ; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed ve^ t; wore an old dark cloth cap. DESCRIPTION of John M'Guire, alias Connell, native of Kills, county Meath, who stands charged with hav- ing, on the 3rl day of September, 1863, in the barony of Upper Kells, parish of Balrathboyne, stolen from tho person of Mr. Matthew M'Dermott, of Cortown, the sum of £ 68, viz., six £ 10 notes, one £ 5, two £ 1, and one sovereign, which was in his pocket, in a red and brown worsted purse, with a worsted string; Nos. ot notes, or banks from which issued, not known :— 32 years of age, 5 feet high, slight make, sallow and pale complexion, common face, grey eyes, cocked nose, dark brown hair; wore an old black cloth frock coat, grey tweed trowsers, grayish vest, green and red worsted necktie, brown striped cap ; deeply pockpitted, but few marks. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to ofler a reward of .£ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of ago, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, largo heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, kneo breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down, look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, falso teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( H. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of a black gelded ass, the property of James Fitzgerald, which was stolen from the lands of Barna, pari h of Kilvellane, barony of Owney and Arra, on the night of the 30th of August, 1863:— A black ass, having a sore under left eye, white mouth, 9 years old, and value for £ I. DESCRIPTION of Jeremiah Hennessy, native of Clon- mel, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd September, 1863, in the barony of Iffa and Offa East, parish of St. Mary's, absconded from the employment of Mr. Edward Jones, embezzling some money, his property:— 26 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, slight make, fair complexion, rather good face, hazel and rather tender eyes, Roman nose, fair or sandy hair; wore a jerry hat, light sack coat, black trowsers and vest. Tendency to or mark of evil under one of his ears ; lost some jaw teeth ; long beard on chin, small moust& cbes. Clonmel,' 3rd Sept., 1863. ( B. 24185— 12166.)
