DESCRIPTION of the undermentioned convict, whose ticket- of- licence has been revoked:— John Connors, about 53 years of age, 5 feet 5J inches high, stout make, dark hair, mixed with grey ; light eyobrows, hazel eyes, regular formed nose and mouth, oval visage, fresh complexion ; and has a defect in right hip, which causes him to be lame of right leg. Born at Peter's Well, county Galway; and has friends residing at Loughrea. Was convicted at Ballinasloe, county Gal- way, ol larceny from person, at the Michaelmas Ses- sions, held on the 10th of October, 1860, and sentenced to three years' penal servitude. Information to Super- intendent Ryan, 3, Exchange- court, Dublin, who holds a warrant lor his apprehension. 26th August, 1863. ( R. 7263.) CONSTABULARY. Armagh. DESCRIPTION of a woman, name unknown, nat've place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 21st day of August, 1863, in tho barony of Upper Orior, parish of Forkhill, deserted her infant child, by leaving it in the house of Patrick Lindon, in the town- land of Mullybane, district of Crossmaglen, whero she obtained lodging for the night— cbilc^ about twelve months old:— 30 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, slender make, sallow complexion, long visage, regular nose, yellow hair; wore a dark skirt, buff jacket, blue apron ; had a whito corded calico bonnet, which she did not then wear; had no shoes; from her accent, she appeared to be from tho north of Ireland. Cork. - DESCRIPTION of a donkey and cart, the property of Patt Connor and John Herlihy, which were stolen off the lands of Maulnahorna, parish of Clondiohid, barony of West Muskery, on the night of the 24th instant:— A mare donkey, grayish colour, had a large lump in her throat, a very bad fore hoof; valuo for £ 1 10s. A donkey cart, of common larch, and not painted, one of the wheels an old carriage wheel, painted yellow, the other a common wheel, the word 4< Monifluigh" was on the shaft, the car was value for about £ 1. DESCRIPTION of Edward M'Gowan ( Bawn), and Bartty M'Gowan ( Bawn), natives of Doobally, county Leitrim, who stand charged with having, on the 18th instant, in the barony of Rosclogher, parish of Rossi- nan, violently assaulted Laurence Lynch, by striking him on the head with a stone:— 1. 24 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, fair complexion, long face, blue eyes, brown hair; wore a brown frock coat, corduroy trowsers, brown cloth vest. Has a high mouth, and walks very erect. 2. 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, long face, blue eves, long thin nose, fair hair; woro a gray friezs coat, corduroy trowsers, brown vest. DESCRIPTION of Paul Dee, native of Askeaton, who stands charged with having, on the ] 7th day of August, 1863, at Askeaton, in tho barony of Lower Connelloe, parish of Askeaton, stolen a quantity of flour, the pro- perty of Messrs. Russell, from their establishment, to which he had recourse :— 64 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, fair complexion, round face, grey eyes, regular nose, black hair ; wore a black hat, blue pilot coat, corduroy trowsors, black vest; much stooped, with round shoulders; black whiskers, mixed with grey hairs; and walks slovenly. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persona who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LABCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by the Resident Magistrate at Longford. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ f00 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information a3 shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. W7HEBEAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperaiy, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of tho said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape lroin arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LABCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officcr of tho Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 foet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, kneo breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait whon walking; has a down look; very heavy oyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of tho head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. Ho may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of a man, who gives his name as James Carey, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd day of August, at Horseleap, in the barony of Moy- cashel, parish of Horseleap, in his possession a pony marc ( supposed to have been stolen), 2^ years old, bay colour, recently shod, legs tending to a dark colour :•— 28 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, slight make, fair complexion, dark hair, blue eyes; has the appear- ance of a servant; wore a cap, dark frock coat, dark tweed trowsers, dark vest. Supposod from Clone, county Wicklow. This man has been committed to Tullamore Gaol, until 2nd prox., when he will bo brought up at Petty Sessions of Clara, King's county, for having stolen a mule from the lands of Donore.
