DESCRIPTION of two cows, the property of James Foy, of Tully, parish of Innismacsaint, and barony of Magheraboy, which were stolen on the night of the 19th instant:— 1. A milk cow, yellow colour, a lump on the left side of her jaw, nine years old ; and value for £ 10. 2. DESCRIPTION of Edward M'Gowan ( Bawn), and Bartty M'Gowan ( Bawn), natives of Doobally, county Leitrim, who stand charged with having, on the 18th instant, in the barony of Rosclogher, parish of Rossi- nan, violently assaulted Laurence Lynch, by striking him on the head with a stone :— 1. 24 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, fair complexion, long face, blue eyes, brown hair; wore a brown frock coat, corduroy trowsers, brown cloth vest. Has a high mouth, and walks very erect. 2. 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, long face, blue eyes, long thin nose, fair hair; wore a gray frieze coat, corduroy trowsers, brown vest. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to ofier a reward of £ 100 to any person or persona who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by the Resident Magistrate at Longford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 3.5 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years ot age, S feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. DESCRIPTION of Stephen M'Guirk, a native of Drogheda, who stands charged with having, on the 15th day of August, 1863, at Rathmullen, in the barony of Duleek Lower, parish of Donore, been one of a party who waylaid and seriously assaulted James M'Donnell, John Carney, and Michael Collins:— 26 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout make, sandy complexion, blue eyes, sandy hair; wore a black cloth sack coat, dark tweed trowsers; face slightly pock- pitted, and has no whiskers. DESCRIPTION of a milch cow, tho property of Patrick Scally, which was stolen out of a stable attached to his dwelling, on the lands of Currann, parish of Termon- barry, and barony of Ballintobber North, on the night of the 20th August, ] 863 :— Large size, yellow colour, with white spots, short crumpled horns, one turned towards the eyebrow, with the top sawn oS; the other with a shell broken off from the root to the top ; long thin neck, branded on the hip 276 or 279; ten years old; value for £ 14. DESCRIPTION of John Dolan, native of Ardnaglug, who stands charged with having, on the night of 2nd August, 1863, in the barony of Moycarn, parish of Moore, and townland of Kilcashel Oldtown, stolen a sheep, the property of Bryan Murray, farmer, and sold the said sheep at the fair of Ferbane on 3rd instant, to Patrick Colclough, farmer, residing near Shannon Bridge, King's county:— 38 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, sallow face, gray eyes, regular nose, short dark hair; wore a Caroline hat, frieze body coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest; looks downwards when walking; shoulders inclined to stoop; front teeth uneven; glares at first view of any object. DESCRIPTION of James Bree, native of the county of Sligo, who stands charged with having, on the 19th day of August, 1863, in the barony of Carbury, parish of Killaspugbrone, been one of a party who forcibly carried away Honor Moran:— 24 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, blue eyes, regular nose, dark brown hair; wore a brown cloth frock coat, dark tweed trowsers, cloth vest. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months x from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A, LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under tho conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1802, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards wm be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of wearing apparel, the property of Lieutenant Thomas Boothe, 5th Dragoon Guards, which were stolen from the military barracks at Fethard, parish of Fethard, and barony of Middlethird, on the night of 18th August, 1863, viz.:— Two black cloth frock coats, with black silk buttons ; a pair black cloth trows. rs, a black vest, a pair Cashmere knee breeches, with brass buttons, having the name " John- son, Dawson- street, Dublin," . marked on them ; a pair patent leather Wellington dress boots, three calico shirts, with ! inen fronts, and linen bands as collars. The above erticles are all nearly now, and value for £ 10. Lieutenant Boothe will give £ 1 reward on recovery of the property and conviction of the thief or thieves. Ballynonty, 20th Aug., 1863. DESCRIPTION of a cow, the property of William Geeran, whieh was stolen off his lands at Closhdrum- smith, parish of Emly, and barony of Clanwilliam, on the night of 18th August, 1863:— White, with red spots, in good condition, a large lump on the outside of the left hind leg, middling long horns, cocked up at the ends ; had a large appearance of milk ; aged six years, and value for £ 10. DESCRIPTION of John Corbett, native of Knooka- harnaduff, Cornelius Armstrong, native of Tooreencul- lana, Thomas Cornelius Ryan, native of Turraheen, and William Quinn, who stand charged with having, on the 16th day of August, 1863, in the barony of Kilnamanaeh Upper, parish of Moyaliffe, seriously assaulted James Dwyer and Mathew Dwyer, whose lives are pronounced in danger:— 1. 24 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout make, red complexion, full face, gray eyes, straight nose, fair hair; wore a jerry hat, frieze frock coat, red Windsor trowsers, tweed vest; old marks of skull frac- tures ; active, and well- looking. 2. 21 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, regular face, brown eyes, straight nose, fair hair; wore a black jerry hat, frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, dark tweed vest; high teeth. 3. 24 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout make, red complexion, regular face, blue eyes, straight nose, red hair; wore a black jerry hat, frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, cloth vest. 4. 25 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, slender make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, straight nose, black hair; wore a black jerry hat, frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, cloth vest; high teeth; has a swaggering gait when walking. DESCRIPTION of Matt Dillon, native of Cloneyross, John Dillon, native of Cloneyross, William Neale, native of Rossmore, John Devereux, John Davoran, Patt Dwyer, Thomas Crean, John Harney, and Andrew Carey, who stand charged with having, on the 15th day of August, 1863, in the barony of Kilnama- nagh Upper, parish of Moyaliffe, seriously assaulted James Hayes, John Armstrong, and Andrew Carey, whose lives are pronounced in danger:— 1. 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slender make, sallow complexion, long face, blue eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a white jerry hat, frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest; walks slovenly. 2. 20 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, dark complexion, round face, blue eyes, regular nose, fair hair; wore a white jerry hat, frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest. A cut on forehead, fresh. 3. 24 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches bigb, stout make, sallow complexion, broad face, blue oye3, rfegular nose, brown hair; wore a black jerry hat, frieze frock coat, fed tweed trowsers, cloth vest. 4. 21 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, red complexion, broad face, brown eyes, long nose, fair hair; wore a dark jerry hat, frieze frock coat, red Windsor trowsers, black cloth vest. 5. 24 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, long face, grey eyes, very long nose, black hair; wore a dark jerry hat, frieze frock coat, tweed trowsers, black vest. A journeyman black- smith. 6. 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, red complexion, broad face, grey eyes, cocked nose, red hair; wore a dark jerry hat, frieze frock coat, tweed trowsers, tweed vest. 7. 24 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slender make, fair complexion, long face, blue eyes, straight nose, brown hair; wore a dark jerry hat, blue pilot coat, brown tweed trowsers, cloth vest. 8. 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, broad face, grey eyes, long nose, brown hair; wore a dark jerry hat, frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest. DESCRIPTION of the undernamed, who havo been committed to gaol, charged with having, on tho night of the 13th instant, burglariously entered the dwellings of Dr. Brady, James Mooney, and George Nolan, at Newtownmountkennedy, and carried away various articles of property, which were found in their posses- sion. Information respecting the previous conduct and character of the parties is requested to be communicatod to the Sub. Inspector at Bray :— Patrick Philips, native of Wexford town, 24 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, slight make, dark com- plexion, regular features, black eyes, black hair; wears a black coat, black trowsers, and dark vest. The let- ter P is marked on right arm, near tho wrist; anchor on left arm, near the wrist. Patrick Madden, native of Newcastle, co.
