No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General.- As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of John Fitz- patrick, which was stolen from the lands of Clownning, parish of Drumlane, and barony of Lower Loughtee, on the night of the 12th August, 1863:— A middle siae, yellow- coloured heifer, with a tew white spots about the flanks, wido horns, two years old; two months in oalf, and value for £ 7. DESCRIPTION of Stephen M'Donnell, a native of Mount Cashel, James Mullins, a native of Enagh, and another, unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 15th day of August, 1863, at Tulla, in the barony of Tulla Upper, parish of Tulla, committed a grievous assault, endangering life, on Thomas Keogh:— 1. 25 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, thin freckled face, blue eyes, aquiline aose, light brown hair; wore a grey tweed cap, frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest; smart and well- looking ; round shouldered, with slight inclination to stoop. 2. 23 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slender make, dark complexion, round face, brown eyes, short nose, dark brown hair; wore a cap, frieze frock coat, grey tweed trowsers, light grey vest; swarthy face; lips a little turned upwards; smart and pert looking. 3. Unknown. Tulla, 18th Aug., 1863. ( B. 14077— 9147.) DESCRIPTION of three persons unknown, natives of Clare, who stand charged with having, on the 15th of August, 1863, in the barony of Tulla Upper, parish of Tulla, grievously assaulted Thomas Keogh, endan- gering his lite:— 1. 22 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout make, lair complexion, thin freckled face, blue eyes, aquiline nose, fair hair; wore a cap, gray frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, brown vest. 2. 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout make, black complexion, round face, dark eyes, short nose, dark brown hair; wore a jerry hat, frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, gray tweed vest. 3. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Flanagan, native of Boyle, who stands charged with having, on the 16th instant, in the barony of Leitrim, parish of Kiltoghert, stolen two heifers and a bull, the property of Robert Keenan, and having sold two of them in tho fair of Boyle for £ 7, with which he absconded, supposed for America: — 24 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, sharp face, slightly freckled, dark eyes, dark brown hair, cut short, and inclined to curl; wore a cloth cap, dark pilot frock coat, dark cloth trowsers, dark cloth vest; cicatrice over eye ; smiles when speaking ; small short whiskers; had his left leg broken last spring ; had a £ 5 note; traced to Castle- rea ; thence to Athlone. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of a female, name unknown, sup- posed to be a native of Newcastle, West, who stands charged with having, on the 12th day of August, 1863, in the barony of Shanid, parish of Kilmoylan, deserted her infant, about 11 months old, and stolen a red woollen shawl, spotted all over with different colours, and value for 7s. 6d., the property of Joseph Hanley, who gave her lodging tor the night:— 28 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slender make, fair complexion, long red face, grey eyes, long nose, dark hair; wore a dark brown dress, blue petticoat; had a small wart on her right cheek ; supposed she is wearing the stolen shawl. WHEREAS in& RM^ IPP J} 8* reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any PIIO whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, tbe said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. Tho above reward will be paid, on conviction, by the Resident Magistrate at Longford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; woro a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEBEAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the surest of the said Michael Hayes, And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of tbo head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws ; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of Thomas Barrett, na ive of Bally- clachinan, who stands charged with having, on the 15th instant, in the barony of Middlethird, parish of Mora, committed a felonious assault on a female:— 22 years of age, 5 feet 7^ inches high, stout make, fair complexion, red face, regular nose, fair hair; wore a jerry hat, hrown tweed coat, brown tweed trowsers, brown tweed vest; small slight whiskers in front of chin.
