Limerick. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 21, 1863. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of an ass, the property of William Heffernon, which was stolen from the lands of Boher, parish of Abbington, barony of Clanwilliam, on the 7th day of August, 1863 :— A white mare ass, long back, and long tail, copper- coloured head; aged three years, and value for about 30s. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant i* pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, tbe said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, ly the Resident Magistrate at Longford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross;— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray oyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair ; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years ot age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair ; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, daik tweed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. DESCRIPTION of Michael Doyle, native of Coolmee- lagh, or Prospect, county Wexford, who stands charged with having, on the 8th day of August, 18B3, at Cro- neyhorn, in the barony of Shillelagh, parish of Carnew, with four others ( now in custody), been concerned in the murder of John Magee, of Carnew :— 20 years of ago, _ 5 feet 5 inches high, stout make, sandy cqm- plexion, freckled face, brown eyes, regular nose: wore a round felt hat, dark cord jacket or brown frock coat, dark cord trowsers. He some timo ago ran the post from Prospect House to and from Clonegal ; and lat- terly worked in the employment of Thomas Braddle, esq., J. P., a9 a labourer at Prospect; and is supposed to be concealed in that neighbourhood, where he has many friends. A coroner's warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the Head Constable at Tinahely. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of XI00 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person ov persona who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 foet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black Stockings, Caroline bat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teoth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- lookiog man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of cattle, the property of John Mar- shall, of Ballydonagh, King's county, which were stolen from the lands of Maheranenagh, parish of Ard- croney, barony of Lower Ormond, on the night of the 6tb, or morniDg of the 7th August instant, viz.:— A cow, 9 years old, brindled colour, hnd a mark of a cord on fore foot; value for about £ o. Deserters from Her Majesty's Service, [ Ireland.] On and after this date ( Dec. 11, 1857), until further notice, the Keward given by the War Office for the Apprehension of a Deserter will be TWENTY SHILLINGS instead of TEN SHILLINGS; the object being to prevent the crime of Desertion, and to hold out a greater inducement for the recovery of Deserters to Her Majesty's Service.
