All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and Cry, are to be transmitted under cover addressed to the Inspector- General of Constabulary ( the words Hue- and- Cry to be written on the left hand corner of the Envelope). No Description can ba inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. DUBLIN, FRIDAY, JULY 24, 1863. English Police. £ 20 REWARD.— MANSLAUGHTER. WHEREAS John M'Manus stands charged by the verdict' of a jury, summoned by the coroner for the borough ( of Sunderland, with the manslaughter of Terence Meakin, on the 26th day of April. Notice IB hereby , given, that Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Home Department, has authorized the pay- ment of a reward of £ 20 to any person giving such information as shall lead to the apprehension of the said John M'Manus. He is a labourer. About 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slenderly built, sallow complexion, brown hair; scar under one of his ears, supposed to be the left; thin face, sunk eyes, no whiskers ; and holds his head down when walking. Limerick. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 21, 1863. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of boots, the property of Denis Lines, of Abbeyfeale, which were stolen from his shop, in parish of Abbeyfeale, and barony of Glenquin, on the morning of the 21st July, 1863, between tho hours of 2 and 6 o'clock, A. DUBLIN CASTLE, June 30, 1863. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair ; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweod vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of ,£ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. WHEHEAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with haying murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest His Excellency the Lord Lioutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary.
