No Description can ba inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Limerick. - DUBLIN CASTLE, February 21,1863. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe,- in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by R. J. Grace Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of two heifers, the property of Thomas Murphy, which were stolen from the lands of Killeen, parish of Ballylanders, and barony of Coshlea, on tho night of the 28th, or morning of the 29th ultimo:— 1. DUBLIN CASTLE, June 30, 1863. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. Griffith, who stands charged with having, on the 30th of June, 1863, in the barony of Lune, parish of Athboy, received from several per- sons articles of jewelry to repair & c., and with which he absconded :— 24 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slender make, dark complexion, long face, dark ey. es, dark hair; wore a dark Whitney frock coat, light- coloured trowsers, with dark stripe. Had small black moustache and small whiskers. Was accompanied by a woman, supposed to be his mother, who carried a small bundle. He generally carries in hishand a port- folio containing plates for engraving. Passed tis an engraver; and wore sometimes a cap and sometimes a round felt hat. A warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the Athboy police. Athboy, 5th July, 1863. ( B. 22704— 13608.) DESCRIPTION of a person, unknown, who has been arrested by the Longwood police under suspicious cir- cumstances, who refuses to give an account of himself, and who has been committed to gaol for further exami- nation :— About 26 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, slender make, sallow complexion, thin face, narrow about the chin, and freckled, gray eyes, long straight nose, long black bair, inclined to curl; wears a black and whito tweed coat, drab tweed trowsers, brown tweed vest, old black silk hat, and blue silk nocktie; an old comb was found in his pocket, marked J. M. 3651, 14 ; and he bad with him a few awls in an old straw hat with which it is presumed he mended shoes. Longwood, 26th June, 1863. ( B. 21543— J3575.) WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to oiler a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEBEAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1832, in the town of Tipperaiy, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. J DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, " dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline bat; Stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, . somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws ; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.)
