DESCRIPTION John Byrne, native of Shanganagh, county of Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the 27th Jut- e, 1863, stolen a yearling calf, in the barony of Rathdown, parish of Rathmichael:— 22 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, very stout make, dark complexion, full face, dark eyes, dark brown hair; wote a dark frock coat, much worn and right elbow broken, cord trowsers, blucher boots, toe of right boot cut across the upper. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by R. J. Grace Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of two heifers, the property of John M'Namara, which were stolen from the lands of Bally- cahane Upper, parish of Ballycahane, barony of Pubble- brien, on the 28th day of June, 1863 :— 1. One year old, spotted white and red, with nice short boms ; and value for £ 6. 2. One year old, whitish, mixed with dark brown, short horns ; and value for £ 6. Cahirconlish, 1st July, 1863. DUBLIN CASTLE, June 30, 1863. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Maikagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LABOOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on bis lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord browsers, dark tweed vost; wore an old dark cloth cap. Meath DESCRIPTION of a person, unknown, who has been arrested by the Longwood police under suspicious cir- cumstances, who refuses to give an account of himself, and who has been committed to gaol for further exami- nation :— About 26 years of age, 5 feet 9 incbes high, slender make, sallow complexion, thin face, narrow about the chin, and freckled, gray eyes, long straight nose, long black hair, inclined to curl; wears a black and white tweed coat, drab tweed trowsers, brown tweed vest, old black silk bat, and blue silk necktie; an old comb was found in his pocket, marked J. M. 3651, J4 ; and he had with him a few awls in an old straw hat with which it is presumed he mended shoes. Longwood, 26th June, 1863. ( B. 21543— 13575.) P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy fqce, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray bairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.)
