WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by R. J. Grace Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DBSCBIPTION of Michael Considine, jun., nativo of Castleconnell, who stands charged with having, on the morning of the ] 5th June instant, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Stradbally, and townland of Cloou and Commons, maliciously set fire to the dwell- ing of Catherine Hickey, of Cloon and Commons :— 23 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, long face, blue eyes, long nose, light brown hair ; wore a light tweed c « p, dark tweed frock coat, dark tweed trowsers, dark tweed vest; has the gait of a groom. he has probably gone to the city of Limerick, and might be'- seeking employment as hostler or groom. DESCRIPTION of Robert M'Donnell, native of Belfast, or county Down, who stands charged with having, on the 8th instant, in the barony ot Limerick, parish of St. Michael's, committed forgery and rob- bery :— 50 years of pge, 5 feet 3 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, full face, hazel eyes, regular nose, black hair turning gray; wore a black Caroline hat, black frock coat, and gray alpaca coat, black trowsers, black cloth vest; very lame of left leg, and cannot walk without the assistance of a stick; was a mercantile clerk, and has a respectable appearance ; usually wears a white necktie; and spent a great part of his time in Belfast, of which town he is supposed to be a native; he is very much addicted to drink. DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of Michael Convery, which was stolon from the lands of Zanney- mullin, parish of Maghera, barony of Loughinsholin, on the night of 12ih, or early on 13th instant:— A heifer, a year and a quarter old, colour whito, red about the shoulders and fore feet, with a red spot over the kidneys; in good condition, and value for about £ 3. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persona who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said THE POLICE GAZETTE, Oft HUE- AND- CRY, JUNE 19, 1863. murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murdered in his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. * DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with u few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.)
