All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and Cry, are to be transmitted under cover addressed to the Inspector- General of Constabulary ( the words Hue- and- Cry to be written on the left hand corner of the Envelope). No Description can ba inserted unless an Information shall ha*- oworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other descriptionof Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. DUBLIN, FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 1863. WHEREAS, on the night of the 1st instant, about 10 o'clock, as Robert Cain, Labourer, was returning home through a plantation in Prospect Demesne, Barony of Upper Dunluce, County Antrim, he was attacked and seriously assaulted, by two persons at present unknown. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of both or either of said porsons. DESCRIPTION of a cow, the property of James M'Caul, which was stolen from his farm at Killyran, parish of Templeport, on night of 5th instant, viz.:— A milch cow, piebald, pale yellow and white; short horns, turned towards the face ; in good condition, and value for about £ 12. Is supposed to have been sold at Lisnaskea fair, county Fermanagh, on 6th instant, and to be still in that locality. Killeshandra, 10th June, 1863. ( B. 21032— 7920.) WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, . give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Joyce, sheep stealer, 30 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high ; wore a blue cloth cap, frieze body coat and vest, corduroy trowsors, new highlow shoes; supposed to be a native of Galway; was seen on 29th, driving the sheep at Fairhill. Ballinrobe, 31st May, 1863. ( B. 21127— 15580.) DESCRIPTION of wearing apparel, the property of Honor Connelly, which was stolen from an uninhabited house on the lands of Lissnagloose, parish of Killora, barony of Dunkellin, on the night of the 6th instant, viz.:— A brown French cashmere dress, bound at the bottom and sleeves with black velvet; a coloured plaid dress, striped green and brown ; a spotted cloth shawl, brown and green; a white flannel petticoat; a red petticoat; a black frieze cloak; a pair of striped stockings; a white jean stays; a black velvet knit; a small pink silk scarf, stripes across; a small blue hoa, figured with yellow branches ; a small white boa; a pair of brown gloves, sewed with red and green silk ; and a white pocket handkerchief, trimmed with lace ; all value for about £ 4 5s. Athenry, 8th June, 1863. ( B. 21327— 7485.) DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of Peter Moran, which was stolen from the lands of Killaloonty, parish of Tuam, barony of Clare, on tho night of the 3rd, or morning of the 4th instant, viz.;— A white heifer, three years old, tips of ears red, horns slightly turned up ; in rather low condition, and value for about £ 7. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by R. J. Grace Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. John Williams ' robbery) not arrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 3rd February, 1863. Longford. DUBLIN CASTLE, December 80, 1862. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. DESCRIPTION of Andrew Healy, native of Deerpark, county Roscommon, who stands charged with having, on tho 4th day of June, 1863, at Cloghoge, in the barony of Tirerrill, parish of Aghanagh, assaulted Michael Cox, so as to endanger his lite:— 20 years of ago, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout, and well made, fair complexion, broad face, slightly pockpitted, gray eyes, regular nose, light brown hair, has narrow sharp teoth in front of month ; wore a blue' cloth cap, dark frieze frock coat, white cord trowsers, dark tweed vost; walks with a smart gait, and holds himself erect. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the morning of the 4th instant, • John Andrew Jackson, Esq., J. P., was murderecrm his own Demesne, at Mount Pleasant, in the barony of Upper Ormond, and county of Tipperary, by some person or persons at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and, bringing to justice the perpetrators of this murder, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any' person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by John Fleming, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Nenagh, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who- is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency tho Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowipgly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, pr aided. in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of thp Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feot high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, largo heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore & black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat ; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on tho crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teoth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws ; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. Ho may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, falso teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 1Q071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION'of four heifers end one goat, tho pro- perty of Daniel Kelly, which were stolen from the lapds of Ballysheedy, parish of Donohill, barony of Killeemenagh Lower, on the 1st or 2nd day of June, • 1863:— 1. White, with black and blue spots on neck. • 2. - Ditto ditto > 3. All white. 4. AH white; back very high. Those heifers wore value for about £ 3 15s. each. The goat was entirely white; straight, horns, a little hair pff the neck; a year old; and value for about 7s. 6d. Dundrum, 7th June, 1863- (|). 21584— 11722.) Catherine Daniel, charged with child desertion, in Hue and- Cry of 10th February, 1863, has Keen arrested. James Burns ( homicide) not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 22nd May, 1803. Tyrone. John Kelly ( rape) not arrested; flue- and- Cry, 22nd May, 1863. Waterford. The cattle described in the Hue- and- Cry of 26th ultimo, and were taken out of John Fitzgerald's pound, have been recovered.
