RETURN showing the Names of the COUNTY SURVEYOR and his ASSISTANTS, with their respective SALARIES, stating the Lowest and Highest, for the Seven Years previous to the Act 24 & 25 Vict. c. 43 ; Statement of those whose Salaries have been advanced by GRAND JURY, pursuant to the above Act, and the Amount of Advance ; and also, Remarks as to their not engaging in Private Practice. Appointed after - ditto. — — 1855 1856 ] to 1862 J Charles Tarrant William Carroll 300 - - 300 - - Mr. Carroll having exchanged with Mr. Tarrant, the latter took charge as County Surveyor after Summer Assizes, 1854. A re- exchange having taken place between tho above- named gentlemen, Mr. Carroll resumed charge of the county after Spring Assizes, 1855.
