No Description can be inserted, inless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, o. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in + bi UCue- and- Cry. DUBLIN, TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 1863. Scottish Police. STOLEN from premises in this city, on the 24th March, 1863, a chased silver sugar bowl, with the letters D. H. C. H. stamped on the bottom, and a parcel of 16 filled long shawls or plaids, with black centres, best quality, by Charles Metz, who occupied the premises, and received the above property as an agent for a London Parcel Delivery Company, and who was last seen in Edinburgh on the 30th ult. He is by trade a dyer, is about 34 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches in height, sallow complexion, roman nose, dark brown eyes, and black hair, is by birth a German, but has not a foreign accent, having been brought up in Manchester, where he resided lor several years; was dressed in a blue cloth short coat, light trowsers and vest, and black hat. Police Officers and others are requested to make particular search for the above property and person, and if any of the articles are traced, or he is appre- hended, to communica'e with the Procurator- Fiscal, City Chambers, Edinburgh. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1863, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of- .£ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the saute. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of Wilson Heley, native of county Meath, or Dublin, who stands charged with having, on the llth instant, in the barony of Fermoy, parish of Mallow, embezzled the sum of £ 30, the property of the Great Southern and Western Railway Com- pany :— 24 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, fair complexion, thin face, freckled, blue eyes, regular nose, sandy hair; wore a black silk hat, black cloth bag ooat, light trowsers, light vest; respectable appearance and good address ; was last seen on the 13th instant, in the city ot Dublin. A warrant is in the hands of the Constabulary at Mallow, for his arrest. ^ Mallow, 15th April, 1863. £ 630— 1778L) DESCRIPTION of Daniel Coleman, native of Mitchels- town, who stands charged with having, on or about the 7th of March, 1863, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Fermoy, feloniously stolen a gray mare donkey, car, and tackling, together with a quantity of wearing apparel, & c., the property of John Halloran, a dealing man ; all value for about £ 4 10-;.: — 40 years of age, 5 feet 7-£ inches high, sleudor make, yellow complexion, full face, dark eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a jerry hat, dark brown coat, whi e moleskin trowsers, light cord vest. This man generally visits fairs and races in the capacity of a gambler, and is strongly suspected of being a coiner, particularly in making shillings and sixpenny pieces of old date. Description ot the property:— A gray mare donkey, a car and tackling, two cotton dresses, one of them a plaid, one pair of laced boots, a white moleskin trowsers, and corduroy trowsers, five flannel quilts, a pair of blankets, three sheets, a sort of billiard table, and stand for same. DESCRIPTION of two cows, the properly of William M'Cawley, of Drumakin, which were stolen from the public pound in Tempo, parish of Enniskillen, barony of Tyrkennedy, on the night of 14th April instant, where they had been placod by Thomas Ferriss, of Drumakin, who had seized them for rent: 1. An aged cow, after calving, yellow, with white back, a lump on tho left hind foot, top broken off right horn ; value for £ 3 10s. 2. Five years old, yellow, with some white spots on the flanks; will calve about 1st May; cocked horns ; value for £ 5 10s. Enniskillen, 17th April, 1863. ( B. 18721— 5873.) DESCRIPTION of William Fitzgibbon, alias Eager, native of Milltown, who stands charged with having, on the 15th April instant, at Milltown, in the barony of Trughenackmy, parish of Kilcolman, stole a dark bay pony ( mare), twelve hands higb, long switch tail, black legs, a sore on both shoulders, produced by pressure of collar; value £ 8 sterling:— 18 years of age, 4 teet 6^ inches high, slight make, sallow complexion, round face, blue eyes, regular nose, fair hair; wore an old black cloth coat, old black trowsers, black vest; worehis hair unusually long'; smart address and appear- ance. DESCRIPTION of James Hennessy, native of Kil- kenny, who stands charged with having, on the 30th January, and 17th March la't, in the barony of Gow- rsu, parish of Threadingstown, also in the city of Kil- kenny, obtained money under false pretences, and with having embezz'ed certain letters the property of the Postmaster General:— 21 years of age, 5 feet 7| inches high, slight mi> k", fresh complexion, thin face, blue eye*, regular nose, light hair; wore a dark frock coat, dark trowsers, brown vest; walks with a long sling step, light giddy gait. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to tho arrest of the person who committed the same. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Boss and James Boss, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in tho barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person oi persons who shall, - within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Boss and James Boss. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LAROOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by B. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular noso, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord ( jrowsers, dark twoed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. DESCRIPTION of John Kennedy, alias Johnston, native of Meath, near Navan, who stands charged with * bavmg, ^ riithp night of tho 9th instant, in tho barony of Monagftin, parish of Monaghan, stolen a mare, the property of June Gillanders, out of her s'able on the lands of Ballymacforban, in the district of Monaghan : 45 years of ege, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout make, dark complexion, regular face, gray oyes, regular nose, dark hair; woro a dark coarse frock coat, dark cord trow- sers, brown vost. Had on Blucher boots, round jira- crow hat; speaks broad; has lately been in Monaghan Gaol for fowl stealing. Is lame of right leg. A war- rant is in the hinds of the police at Monaghan for his arrest. Description of tho mare. A light bay mare, rising six years old, near hind foot white, a white saddle mark on off side of her hack, about fifteen hands high, coarse head, very heavy make ; both shoulders marked by tho harness, and value for about £ 10. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, tho said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline bat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray bairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. Ho may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustaohe, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 16071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of Michael Ryan, native of Kilconnel, who stands charged with having, on the 29th day of March, 1863, in the barony of Middletblrd, parish of St. John Baptist, effected his escape from the bridewell at Casbel, having been committed for cow stealing:— 27 years of age, 5 feet (! jf inches high, stout make, pale but clear complexion, frosh face, brown oyes, regular noso, rather turned up at point; dark brown hair; wore an old black jerry hat, a railway cord jacket, cord trowsers, flannel vest; good forohead ; flat, roraark- ablo feet; very round shoulders; whou viewed from behind, his neck appears short; smart- looking and fatel- ligont; served four years in the Tipperary Artillery; will probably change his clothes, and will ondoavour td emigrate to Amorica. Tho Hon. Mr. Fronch, R. M., will give £ 10 for such information as will lead to his arrest. Cashel, 29th March, 1863. ( B. 18193— 11355.) Tyrone. DESCRIPTION of Bridget Byrne, native of county Kildare, who stands charged with having, on the night ot 15th, or morning of tho 16th instant, in the barony of Talbotstown Upper, parish of Killegan, stolen from' the house of Catherine Doyle ( from whom she obtained lodging , a blue cloth cloak, value for 5s.; about ^ stone of oatmeal, and a penny worth of sugar, the pro- perty of said Catherine Doyle:— 40 years of age, 4 feet 10 inches high, stout make, dark complexion, round faco, gray eyes, vulgar nose, brown or gray hair; wore en old whito patched jacket, an old black petti- coat, patched with black at bottom ; but may now be wearing the stolen cloak; has thick swelled legs and feet; and was barefooted, lias an appearanco of a wart on one of her cheeks ; heavy eyebrows.
