WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such liaormation as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. Fermanagh. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. Grace Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Bruff to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or THE POLICE GAZETTE, OR HUE- AND- CRY, APRIL 3, 1863. person3 who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealcd, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James RosS :— Patrick, 35 years of ago, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. DESCRIPTION of Laurence Walsh, native of Fog- ney, and James Kelly, native of Creevaghbeg, who stand charged with having, on the 21st November, 1862, in the barony of Rathcline, parish of Shrule, with others at present unknown, murdered Michael Beglin:— 1.21 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, slightly pockmarked face, dark eyes, regular nose, dark brown hair ; wore a cloth cap, light frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest j no whisk- ers. Supposed to have gono to America. 2. 21 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, grim face, gray eyes, regular nose, light brown hair; wore a jim crow hat, gray frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest; a speck on one of his eyes. WHEREAS, on the 20tli instant, the body of Mary Callaghan, spinster, was found in Cornanool river, in the barony of Carra, county of Mayo, having been murdered by a party unknown, and subsequently placed there I hereby offer a reward of £ 30 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons concerned in this outrage. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 30ij j; o any person or persons who shall, within six months from tlie date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkablo and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, { 862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) £ 20 REWARD. WHEREAS, on the evening of the 29th ult., Corne- lius Boland and Michael Ryan, cattle stealers, effected their escape out of Cashel Bridewell, county of Tip- perary. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of said persons, and proportionably for the arrest of either of them. DESCRIPTION of Cornelius Bolan and Michael Ryan, natives of Kilconnel, who stand charged with having, on the 29th day of March, 1863, in Jh? barony of Middlethird, parish of St. John Baptist, affected their escapo from the bridewell at Cashel, they being com- mitted, charged with cow stealing. The Hon. M. J. French, R. M., will give £ 20 reward for such informa- tion as shall lead to their capture, and proportionably for either of them. Seo Hue- and- Cry of 31st ult. Tyrone. DESCRIPTION of a cow, the property of Henry Cor- ran, of Ardbarren, parish of Ardstraw, and barony of West Omagh, which was stolen out of his cow- house at Ardbarren, during the night of the 27th of March : A dark red cow, with white belly, a small hard lump on the inside of left hock, somewhat lame of the left foot, and the hip bone of that side higher than the right; about two months aftor calving, eight years old, and value for about £ 5. Edward Kenna, alias Kinnane, 18 years of ego, 5 feet 3 inches high, stout make, heavy looking boy, fair complexion ( pale), dark brown hair, cut rather short, grey eyes, small nose, small mouth, round visage; formerly belonged to Murroe, county Limerick. Tho Rev. Francis Lynch, tho manager of the reforma- tory, will defray the expense of recapture, and will re- ward tho officer who shall retake any of the above- named, with a sum of £ 3.
