DESCRIPTION of a cow, the property of Thomas Masterson, which was stolen out of his cow- house, at Bruce, barony of Tullyhunco, snd parish of Killeshan- dra, on the night of the 24th instant:— strawberry colour, white legs, short straight horns, slightly turned upwards, and of a very dark colour, a white star on forehead, the two oft teats nearly joined together, and the near front one very long; will calve in a day or two; she is about 7 years old, and value ior £ 9. DESCRIPTION of four sheep, the property of James M'Cabe, which were stolen from the lands of Carricka- croman, parish of Larah, barony of Tullygarvey, on the 26th day of March, 1863, viz.:— a ewe 3 years old, with a piece off top of tail. Two ewes, 1 year old. One black ram, I year old, with a white spot on fore- head, and the wool oft top of tail. The three sheep were in lamb. Bailieboro', 27th March, 1863. ( B. 18573— 7662.) DESCRIPTION of a cow, tho property of Bernard Magovern, which was stolen from the lands of Altshal- lon, parish of Templeport, and barony of Tullyhaw, on the night of tho 22nd, or morning of the 23rd in- stant:— 4 years old, spotted, yellow and white colour, cocked horns, one of them turned back more than the other, to calve in the month of April next; and value for £ 5 10s. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. WHEREAS, on the night of the 24th, about 10 o'clock, Timothy Riordan, car driver, was so seriously as- saulted by a party at present unknown that his life is in danger. I hereby offer a reward of £ 50 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the the party concerned in this outrage. Robert John M'Vicars, described in the Hue- and- Cry of tLe 3rd instant, has been arrested. Donegal. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Heekin and Margaret Heekin, natives of Glencolumbkille, who stand charged with having, on the morniog oi the 24th instant, in the barony of Banagh, parish of Glencolumbkille, ab- sconded from the house of Andrew heekin, of Strana- gartin, a relative, with whom thoy were staying, and taking with them from a box in the house £ 20 in sove- reigns, his property:— 1. 20 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, fresh complexion, brown eyes, brown hair; wore a gray frieze cap, gray frieze coat, gray friexo trowsers, gray frieze vest; is a tailor by trade, and of smart ap- pearance. It is supposed he will go to Londonderry to ombark for Liverpool or America with No. 2. 2. 25 years of age, 5 feet high, very stout make, dark complexion, pimply face, dark eyes, dark bair; wore a red cotton handkerchief on her head, gray dress; has a scratch on one of her cheeks, straight down from the eye, caused by a cat. She cannot speak English. Will be found in company with No. 1, whom she will pro- bably marry before embarking. A warrant for their arrest is in the hands oi tho Constabulary at Glenco- lumbkille. DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of Sarah Webb, which was stolen trom out of a shed, on the lands of Grogan, parish of Lemanaghan, and barony of Garrycastle, on tho night of the 25th instant, viz.:— a small well- bred two year- old heifer, gray colour, mixed with small red spots on the neck, short horns; and is value for £ 7 10s. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here-, of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of tbe person who committed the same. DUBLIN CASTLE, December 30, 1862. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of . John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any ono whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross;— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow comploxion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair ; wore a dark friezo frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vost; wore an old dark cloth cap. Will try to escapo to America. Drumlish, 22nd April, 1862. ( B. 5444— 5614.) DESCRIPTION ef Mary Anne Dillon, who stands charged with having, on the evening of the 2- 3rd in- stant, in the barony of Longford, parish of Temple- michael, taken away a largo scarf shawl ( rod, green, white, and blue mixed, but mostly red), the property of the matron of Longlord Gaol:— 30 years of age, 4 feot 5 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, long face, gray eyes, sharp nose; wore a green stuff gown, with a narrow wbito stripe, bluo apron, and an old gray shawl. Longford, 25th March, 1863. ( B. 17469— 0523.) DESCRIPTION of Laurence Walsh, native of Fog- ney, and James Kelly, native of Creevaghbeg, who stand charged with having, on the 21st November, 1862, in the barony of Rathcline, parish of Shrule, with others at present unknown, murdered Michael Beglin:— 1. 21 years of ago, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, slightly pockmarked face, dark eyes, regular nose, dark brown hair; wore a cloth cap, light frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest; no whisk- ers. Supposed to have gono to America. 2. 24 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, grim face, gray eyes, regular nose, light brown hair; wore a jim crow hat, gray frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest; a speck on one of his eyes. It is most likely he will endeavour to escape to America. Ballynaboe, 26th March, 1863. ( B. 14160— 6529.) Thomas Farrell ( serious assault) not arrested; Huo- and- Cry, 24 th February, 1863. Mayo. £ 20 REWARD. WHEREAS, early on the morning of the 18th in- stant, a party at present unknown, forcibly entered the National School- house at Ballaghaderreen, in the county Mayo, and destroyed considerable property belonging to the Schoolmistress, and of the National Board. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the party concerned in this outrage. Patrick Gallagher ( cow stealor) not arrested ; Hue- and- Cry, 27th March, 1863. James Gallagher ( rano) not arrested; Hue- and- Cry, 20th January, 1863. Tipperary. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. Ilis Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 800 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael. Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, oif assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Iiayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of ego, 6 feot high, stouf make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable arid an ill- looking man. He miy probably assume a disguise, such as a wi^, moustache, falso teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) DESCRIPTION of Michael Ryan, native of Kilconnel, who stands charged with having, on the 8th day of February, 1863, in the barony of Middlethird, parish of Brickeen, stolen three heifers, the property of Mr. Thomas Price, of Coolraine:— 50 years of age, 5 feet S inches high, slight make, fair complexion, fair face, gray eyes, aquiline nose, fair hair ; wore a black hat, bluo pilot frock coat, cord trowsers, dark ve-, t; long visage, small foxy whiskers, walks with his head a little stooped, his speech slightly affected, as if caused by a ' defect of the nose. Is a cattle jobber. It is supposed he will endeavour to emigrate to America. A warrant for his arrest is in the hands of the Cashel Constabulary. Cashel, 28th March, 1803. ( B. 17370— 1135'}.) DESCRIPTION of Cornelius Bolan and Michael ryan, natives of Kilconnel, who stand chargod with having, on the 29th day of March, 1863, in the barony of middlethird, parish of St. John Baptist, effected their escape from the bridewell at Cashel, they being com- mitted, charged with cow stealing:— 1. 24 years of ego, about 5 ( pet 6 inches high, stout make, sandy or fair complexion, round full faco, brown eyes, regular nose, light brown hair; wore a black jerry hat, brown frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark vest'; eyes rather sunken; no whiskers; some hairs on his chin; large hands. It is supposed ho wi|| endeavour to emi- grate to America. 2. 27 years of age, 5 feet 6| inches high, stout make, pale but clear completion, fresh fuco, broyirp pyes, regular nose, rather turned pp at point; dark brown hair ; wore an old black jerry hat, a railway cord Jacket, cord trowsers, flannel vesj,; gooij forejiead, flaf, remark- ablp feet; very round shoulders; when vieweij frpm behind, his neck appears short; smart- looking and intel- ligent ; served four years jn the Tipperary Artillery; will probably change his clothes, and will endeavour to emigrate to America. DESCRIPTION of the under- named parties who effected their escape on the night of the 22nd instant, from the Glencree Reformatory :— 1. James M'Keana, 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slight muko, ill looking boy, fresh completion, liglit brown hair, cut short, grey eyes, smalj nose, largo moutb, oval visage; initial of name in blue on left wrist, and an anchor on left hand ; ting finger, right hand, crooked. Parents reside at 56, New Lodge road, Belfast. 2. Edward Kenna, alias Kinnane, 18 years of sge, 5 feet 3 inches high, stout make, heavy looking boy, fair complexion ( pale), dark brown hair, cut rather short, grey eves, small nose, small mouth, rpund visage ; formerly belonged to Murroe, county Limerick. The Rev. Francis Lynch, the manager of the reforma- tory, will delray the expense of recapture, and will re- ward the officer who shall retake any of the ubovc- named, with a sum of £ 3.
