DUBLIN CASTLE, December 13, 1862. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of John Segrave, Esq., of Newbarn, parish of Kilsallaghan, and barony of Nethercross, which was stolen off the lands of Newbarn, on the night of the 13th, or morn- ing of the 14th instant viz.:— a strawberry coloured heifer the two points of horns cut off, branded J. DESCRIPTION of five sheep, the property of Patrick Keary, of Derryglassane, parish of Moylough, barony of Tiaquin, which were stolen off his lands on the night ot the 20th, or morning of the 21st instant, viz.: Five one- year- old sheep ( two ewes and three wethers), marked with the letters P. K. on right side, and K. on right jaw ; one of the ewes had a long tail, and value for £ 1 10s. Ballygar, 24th March, 1863. ( B. 16791— 7270.) DESCRIPTION of six sheep, the property of Mr. Abner Bailie, of Denistown barony of Clare, and parish of Belclare, which were stolen off his farm at Carheens, on the night of the 21st March:— six old ewes in lamb, within about 10 days of dropping, branded thus A. B., two of them so lame' that they could not have walked one mile. Mr. Bailie, will give £ 5 for the recovery of the sheep, and conviction of the thief or thieves. Headford, 24th March, 1863. ( B. 17976— J0353.) STOLEN out of tbe dwelling- house of Charles O'Connell, Esq., R. M., on the night of the 14th, or morning of the 15th instant, in the town of Galway, the following articles, viz.:— A new overcoat, made in sack fashion, of English Frieze, of a dark claret colour, with velvet collar; a black silk cloak, with a quilted cape, trimmed with fringe; tbe cloak is bound with narrow velvet; a ligbt tabinet skirt, nearly new; two white muslin dresses, one with flounces, both much worn ; s calico dress, also worn ; a light gray paletot cloak, bound with black, also old ; a dressing gown of calico or gingham, also a small old- fashioned French gold watch, maker's name unknown, marked Paris, with a small thin gold chain attached to it. DESCRIPTION of Sally Cotter, native of Kilmanaghan, who stands charged with having, on the 16th March instant, at Kilmanaghan, in the barony of Trucken- ackmy, parish of Brosna, stolen a Cashmere dress, a Cashmere shawl, a water- stuff petticoat, a lama hand- kerchief, a stuff jacket, and two scarfs; all value for £ 3 : 18 years of age, about 5 feet high, stout make, sallow complexion, round face, small eyes, flat nose, black hair; wore a brown stuff dress, with blue stripe; simple idiotic appearance, and barefooted; may be wearing some ot the stolen articles. Leitrim. £ 50 REWARD WHEREAS, on the evening of Sunday the 8th instant, a party at present unknown attempted to upset the 3 40 up- train from Sligo to Dublin, by placing four large stones on the rails at Corrahara, within a mile and a- half of Drumsna Station, in the county of Leitrim. I hereby offer a reward of £ 50 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the party concerned in this outrage. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that on the night of the 17th instant, Mr. John Cussen was fired at and wounded at his residence at Ballyfokeen, in the barony of Connelloe, in the county of Limerick, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrator of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son who shall, within six months from the date here- of, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person who committed the same. DUBLIN CASTLE, December 30, 1862. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagli, in ttie barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said x murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, Thos. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Long- ford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of ago, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair ; woro a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vost; wore an old dark cloth cap. DESCRIPTION of Mary Anne Dillon, who stands charged with having, on the evening of the 23rd in- stant, in tho barony of Longford, parish of Temple- michael, taken away a large scarf shawl ( red, green, white, and blue mixed, but mostly red), the property of the matron of Longford Gaol:— 30 years of age, 4 foot 5 inches high, stout make, fresh complexion, long face, gray eyes, sharp nose; wore a green stuff gown, with a narrow white stripe, blue apron, and an old gray shawl. WHEREAS, early on the morning of the 18th in- stant, a party at present unknown, forcibly entered the National School- house at Ballaghaderreen, in the county Mayo, and destroyed considerable property belonging to the Schoolmistress, and of the National Board. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to tlie arrest of the party concerncd In this outrage. DESCRIPTION of Edmond Griffith, native of Fun- ohinagh, who stands charged with having, in the month of April, 1862, in the barony of Kilmain, parish of Cong, demolished a dwelling house, and out- offices, the property of Lady Waller:— 45 years of ago, 5 feet 7 inches high, slight make, fair complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, light brown hair; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, dark vest. Is a land surveyor, and can perform on several musical instruments; borrowed a fiddle lately and took it with him ; has a brother living near Ballinasloe. Ballinrobe, 24th March, 1863. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Gallagher, native of county Sligo, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 16th, or morning of the 17th instant, in the barony of Coolavin, parish of Kilfree, stolen two cow?, tho property of Bryan Tansey:— 27 years of age, 5 feet inches high, stout mako, fair complexion, thin face, regular nose, fair hair, has small red whis- kers, and walks erect; wore a brown frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, black necktie, dark cloth cap. DUBLIN CASTLE, February 24, 1863. WHEREAS Michael hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on tho 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, ( J feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, largo heavy face, dark eyes, rather long hose, black, a little gray hair; woro a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, carolino hat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on tho crown of the head, with a few stray bairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws;, and altoget, hor a remarkable and an ill- looking man. James M'Kenna, 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, slight make, ill looking boy, fresh complexion, light brown hair, cut short, grey eyes, small nose, large mouth, oval visato; iuitial of name in blue on left wrist, and an anchor on left tand; ring finder, right hand, crooked. Parents reside at 56, New Lodge road, Belfast. 2. Edward Kenna, alias Kinnane, 18 years of ago, 5 feet 3 inches high, stout make, heavy lookipg boy, fuir complexion ( pale), dark brown hair, qfit rather short, grey eye3, small nose, small mouth, round visage; formerly belonged io murroe, county Lifncrick. The Rev. Francis Lynch, the manager of the reforma- tory, will defray the expenso of recapture, apd will re- ward the officer who shall retake any of the above- named, with a sum of £ 3. Wicklow, 23rd March, 1863. Deserters from Her Majesty's Service, [ Ireland.] On and after this date ( Dec. 11, 1857), until further notice, the Reward given by the War Office for the Apprehension of a Deserter will be TWENTY SHILLINGS instead of TEN SHILLINGS; the object being to prevent the crime of Desertion, and to hold out a greater inducement for the recovery of Deaerters to Her Majesty's Servioft.
