STOLEN between the hours of five and six o'clock, p. m., 10th instant, about thirteen or fourteen gold Albert chains, eight long gold chains, two gold brace- lets, one a plain buckle, the other a plain band, orna- mented with a circle of vine leaves, in the centre of which is the representation of a bunch of grapes in small coral; all are fice gold. A case containing about threo dozen of ladies' gold finger rings, some of them half hoop turquoise, liult hoop opals, one of which is set with three opals, one of the opals cracked, one half hoop ruby. Several others are set with pearls and turquoise in a cluster of four, with one in centre. Information to Superintendent Daniel Ryan, Lower Castle- yard, Dublin. 11th February, 1863. DESCRIPTION of Owen Moan, native of Armagh, who stands charged with having, on the 5th inst., in the barony of Turenny, parish of Keady, feloniously assaulted Sarah Anne Pauge :— 23 years of age, 5 feet 7£ inches high, slight make, pale complexion, long face, brown eyes, long nose, brown hair; wore a cord trowsers, cord vest, a brown cap, with the top hanging on one side. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or " cmiis who shall, wf'Jain six months from the date hereof, give such infor, nation as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of a heifer, the property of Patrick M'Dermott, which was stolen out of his cow- house in the townland of Moneyduff, parish of Drumlease, barony of Dromahair, on the night of the 8th instant: The heifer is 2J years old, spotted white and brown, with cocked horns, turned to the point, a little stooped in the neck, and is of the Irish and Scotch breed; she is in calf, and value for £ 7. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been THE POLICE GAZETTE, OR HUE- AND- CRY, FEBRUARY 13, 1863. arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persona who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has; since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in their escape lrom arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid, on conviction, by R. A. O'Donnell, Esq., Resident Magistrate at Lang- ford. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Rosa:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallpw complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on l^ Li lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trewsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years ot age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tippcrary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within one month from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of X100 to any person or persons who shall, within three months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze body coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline bat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray hairs on it; several of his front teeth out; nigh cheek bones and sunken jaws; and altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.)
