Police TUB OB Gazette, HUE- AND- CRY. Published for Ireland on Tuesday and Friday. _ All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and Cry, are to be transmitted under cover addressed to the Inspector- General of Constabulary ( the words Huo- and- Cry to be written on the left hand corner of the Envelope). No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Aa the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue- and- Cry. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of John Cain, native of Greenhills, who stands charged with having, on the 5th January, 1863, in the barony of Pubblebrien, parish of Knock- nagoul, stolen £ 8 18s. from his father, for the purpose, it is supposed, of emigrating to America :— 19 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh complexion, gray eyes, fair hair ; wore a frieze frock coat, corduroy trowsers, tweed vest; is suffering from a sore on right shoulder, has the mark of an ulcer over the left upper lip. WHEBEAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in, the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 20th April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in THE POLICE GAZETTE, OR HUE- AND- CRY, NOVEMBER 24, 1863. their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Ross and James Ross. DESCRIPTION of said Pat Ross and James Ross:— Patrick, 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout make, sallow complexion, thin face, gray eyes, sharp nose, cut on his lip, brown hair; wore a gray frieze coat, cord trowsers, dark vest; wore a jim crow hat. Will try to escape to America. James, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight make, dark complexion, thin face, gray eyes, regular nose, black hair; wore a dark frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, dark tweed vest; wore an old dark cloth cap. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with h iving murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 80th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within one month from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within three months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his fescape from arrest. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of said Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 feet high, stout make, dark sallow complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather long1 nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a black frieze ' odj" coat, knee breeches, black stockings, Caroline bat; stooped shoulders, and a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very heavy eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the head, with a few stray bairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws; snd altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moustache, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) £ 20 REWARD. WHEREAS, on the night of the 23rd instant, the cap stones of the Main Bridge over the River Suir, in the town of Cahir, were thrown into the river by some person or persons unknown. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give Such information as shall lead to the arrest of the party concerned in this outrage. DESCRIPTION of seven in- calf heifers, the property of Mr. Thomas Brindley, of Ballysheehan, which were stolen from the lands of Ganegard, parish of Ballysheehan, barony of Middlethird, on the morning of Tuesday, the 6th inst.:— Two years and a- half old, to calve in April, they are chiefly spotted red and white, raddled across the loins with red; in | ood con- dition, and value about £ 70, Cattle answering their description, with an old cow, Were seen dn Tuesday, about 11 o'clock, a. m., near Carrick- on- Suir, going in the direction of Waterford, driven by an old man, who is supposed to be accompanied by two young men. WHEREAS, on the night of the 23rd instant, about eight o'clock, two persons unknown, having been refused admission into the dwelling of Peter Gahan, of Killeenbrack, in the Streamstown Constabulary District, county of Westmeath, fired a shot intci the house, lodging a ball in the wall opposite. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of both or either of said persons.
