Published for Ireland on every Tuesday and Friday. _ ' All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and Cry, are to be transmitted under cover addressed to the Inspector- General of Constabulary ( the words Hue- Mid Cry to be written on the left hand corner of the Envelope). No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. As the Law ( 48 Geo. 3, c. 140, s. 44,) only permits the insertion of Notices respecting Felonies, no other description of Notice can be inserted in the Hue and- Cry. WHEREAS it has been represented to the Lord Lieutenant, that about the hour of 5 o'clock, on the afternoon of the 3rd of June, 1862, William J. H. Moreland, Esq., was fired at on the public road at Poulagour, in the barony of Tulla Upper, and county of Clare, by some person at present unknown. His Excellency, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of this outrage, is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any per- son or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the person or persons who com- mitted the same. By His Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above reward will be paid by William O'Hara, Esq., the Resident Magistrate at Tulla, to those who may become entitled to it under the conditions of this Proclamation. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Burns and Michael Kel- agher, natives of Annaghselherny, and Patrick Moran, native of Annaghearly, who stand charged with hav- ing, on the night of the 30th ultimo, in the barony of Leitrim, parish of Kiltoghert, been engaged in a riot and inflicting a wound on William Guickean, with a stone, so as to endanger his life, and seriously assaulting John Guickean at Annaghearly :— 1. 29 years of age, 5 leet 8 inches high, slight make, fail complexion, blue eyes, very fair hair; wore a cap, dark gray frieze frock coat, cord trowsers, black vest. 2. 22 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, gray eyes, fair hair; wore a cap, corduroy jacket, cord trowsers. 3. 27 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches hiah, slight make, pale complexion, gray eyes, dark brown hair; wore a cap, gray friezj frock coat, black cloth trowsers. WHEREAS information has reached the Government that Patrick Ross and James Ross, charged with the murder of John Corrigan, and with firing at and wounding his wife, Mary Corrigan, near Malkagh, in the barony of Longford, and county of Longford, on the 2Uth April, 1862, and who have not as yet been arrested, have been concealed, and are harboured, received, and concealed, and assisted and aided in several parts of the country since the said murder: Now, His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to tho arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured, or received, or con- cealed, or assisted or aided in any way whatever in THE POLICE GAZETTE, OR HUE- AND- CRY, JAFUARY 6, 1863. their escape from arrest, the said Patrick Boss and James Boss. WHEREAS Michael Hayes, who is charged with having murdered Mr. John Waller Braddell, on the 30th of July, 1862, in the town of Tipperary, has hitherto evaded arrest. His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant is pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 300 to any person or persons who shall, within one month from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the said Michael Hayes. And His Excellency is further pleased hereby to offer a reward of £ 100 to any person or persons who shall, within three months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of any one whomsoever who has, since the said murder, knowingly harboured or received, or concealed, or assisted, or aided in any way whatsoever, the said Michael Hayes in his escape from arrest. ' By Hie Excellency's command, THOS. A. LARCOM. The above rewards will be paid by any Resident Magistrate or Officer of the Constabulary. DESCRIPTION of sa! d Michael Hayes:— 60 years of age, 6 foot high, stout make, dark sa'low complexion, large heavy face, dark eyes, rather : ong nose, black, a little gray hair; wore a bluck frieze ody coat, knee breeche s, black stockings, Caroline hat; stooped shoulders, an I a heavy slovenly gait when walking; has a down look; very hea> y eyebrows, somewhat gray ; bald on the crown of the hei. d, with a tew strav bairs on it; several of his front teeth out; high cheek bones and sunken jaws ; an I altogether a remarkable and an ill- looking man. He may probably assume a disguise, such as a wig, moust « che, false teeth, and black coat, & c. Cappamore, 3rd August, 1862. ( B. 10071— 10283.) £ 20 REWARD. WHEREAS, on the night of the 23rd instant, the cap stones of the Main Bridge over the River Suir, in the town of Cahir, were thrown into the river by some person or persons unknown. I hereby offer a reward of £ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of the party concerned in this outrage. WHEREAS, on the night of the 23rd instant, about eight o'clock, two persons unknown, having beoh refused admission into the dwelling of Peter Gahan, of Killeenbrack, in the Streamstown Constabulary District, county of Westmeath, fired a shot into the house, lodging a ball in the wall opposite. I hereby offer a reward of (£ 20 to any person who shall, within six months from the date herec/ f, gfrve such information as shall lead to the arrest of " both or either of said persons.
