Further information relating to ABRAHAM PAYNE, alias SOLER, and GEORGE PAYNE, alias PILOT, adver- tised in the Police Gazette of the 18th ultimo and subsequent dates, charged with shooting and wounding a gamekeeper at Hilborough, in the county of Norfolk. George has been apprehended and remanded.* Abraham is supposed to have his whiskers shaved off, and dressed in dark cloth, clothes and black silk hat, but may have other clothes with him. £ 5 re- ward will be paid for his apprehension. On the ... orning of the 18th instant, the body of a full- grown Male Child, was found in the General Church Cemetery, situate at the top of Mansfield- road, in the borough of Notting- ham. wrapped in an old white apron. An inquest was held on the body on the 19th instant, at the Police Station, when a verdict of ' Wilful Murder' was returned against some person or persons untnown. Description of two persons charged with highway robbery with violence, comimited on the nijit of the 25th ultimo in Brighouse, in the West Riding of Yorkshire. A man who goes by the name of DUBLIN JACK, alias FIFER JACK, about 37 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stoutly built, broad shoulders, swarthy complexion, dark hair, and whiskers down to chin but do not meet, and dressed in cotton cord trousers, dark drab, partly worn, old brown cloth shooting coat, blue striped shirt, no waistcoat, black and red plaid scarf, and boot with brass eyelet holes" hut not laced up to the top ; he plays upon a fife, and frequents low public and beer houses ; and a woman, who goes by the name of POLLY, ab « ut 30 years of age, 5 feet high, stoutly built, pale complexion, slightly pockmarked, brown hair, and dressed in a si! k and crape black drawn bonnet, black and white. plaid shawl, middle- sized pattern, print dress, white ground with lilac flower, and strong boots ; she is supposed to be in company with ' Dublin Jack.' During the night of the 1st instant, the out- buildings in the occupation of Mr. Lush Vickers, Bangor, containing a quantity of hay, straw," and beans; the live stock, consisting of twelve cows and three horses ; and about forty tons of hay and straw, stored in stacks in the adjoining stackyard, were totally destroyed by fire. Description of a man charged with passing a forged £ 10 Bank of England Note at Alcester, Warwickshire, on the 23rd ultimo. He is about 30 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, dark complexion, and black hair and whiskers ; dressed in dark clothes, black hat, and lace- up boots with brass eyelet holes. The note is dated October 16th, 1860, and signed' W. P. Gattie;' it was passed by sending a little boy whom he met in the street for cattle medicine and 2 lbs. of tea to a grocer's shop kept by Mr. H. T. Lewis, High- street, Alcester. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Dunbar, Alcester.— Bow- street, March 1. Between 9 a. m. on the 3rd, and 7 a. m. on the 4th instant, the Church School at Coolay, in the township of Shelf, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, was entered, and the following property stolen therefrom, viz. : an American Clock, small size, with a snip on the lower part of the case ; and eighteen framed Slates, of various sizes ; the property of the Rev. Mr. Waun. Entrance was effected by means of breaking a window. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Henry Wardle, West Riding Constabulary, Halifax, Yorkshire.— Bow- street, March 6. Description of a man wanted, having committed a burglary at West Ham on the night of the 21st January last. He is 20 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, sallow complexion, dark brown hair, stoops, turns his toes out when walking, and dressed in a dark monkey jacket, cord trousers, and black cloth cap witb'peak.— Metropolitan Police, K Division, March 6. Between the hours of 2 arid 6 a. m. on the 3rd instant, the house of Mrs. Palmer, of Buntingford, Herts, was broken into, during the absence of the family, and the following property stolen therefrom, viz. : a silver Gravy Spoon, marked ' E. ;' six Table Spoons, marked ' D.' or ' G.;' six Dessert ditto, marked ' L. ; ' six. Tea ditto ;| fve ditto, marked ' J. M. G. ;' a ditto, marked 1 M. G.;' two ditto, marked ' E. G.;' six Table Forks ; four Salt Cellars, one pair marked ' T. M.;' four Knife Rests; a Caddy Spoon, marked ' L.;' five Salt Spoons; twelve plated Forks ; a pair of plated Gravy Ladles ; two pair of plated Sugar Tongs, one pair. marked ' E. G.;' a pair of plated Dessert Spoons ; and some old Rings. Information Jto be given to Inspector Oliver, Buntingford, Herts.— Bow- street, March 6. • During the night of the 2nd instant the dwelling- house of Colonel McKenzie, at Frenchay, parish of Winterbourne, was entered by means of breaking a pane of glass in the parlour & 1 * * On the night of the 3rd instant, the dwelling- house of J. Clarke, Esq., Chester- road, Macclesfield, was burglariously broken into, and the following ( amongst other) property stolen therefrom : a large silver plated Candlestick ; a small ditto ; a silver Top to mustard pot and Spoon ; two black cloth Overcoats, large size; a black cloth Frock Coat, ditto ; a black silk Hat with brown lining, marked ' Paris '; a pair of men's Shoes, large size ; a pair of patent leather Slippers ; a pair of women's black cloth Boots, elastic sides, patent leather fronts ; a brown mixture cloth lady's Paletot, lined down the front with black lutestring, bound with brown galoon, black figured silk sleeve linings; a brown silk Umbrella with brown stick handle; a dark brown alpaca ditto with bamboo cane; and two dark alpaca ditto with white bone handles. £ 5 reward will be paid to any person giving such information as will lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders, on application to Mr. Etchells, Superintendent of Police, Mac- clesfield, Cheshire, to whom any " information may ifo given.— Bow- street, March 6. Between I and 2 p. m. on the 26th ultimo, a cottage at Beoley, Worcestershire, in the occupation of William Kyte, was forcibly entered through a back window, during the absence of the inmates, and the following property stolen therefrom : a black cloth vest; a pair of dark cloth trousers; a black and red plaid Scarf; a strong white Smockfrock ; a pair of light lace^ jjp Shoes; a lilac cotton Dress; a white Cashmere Shawl ' with red Jjorder ; wo black crape Scarfs ; a' black orlean Cape trimmed' with icrape ; a blue and white plaid bundle Handkerchief; and a | Vr of goloshes. Information to be given at the Police Office, Kffng's Heath, near Birmingham. — Bow- street, March 4. BetweeiT 8 and 9 p. m. on the 1st instant, the dwelling- house of Mrs. Swindells, in the borough of Macclesfield, was broken into during the absence of the inmates, and the following articles stolen: three plain silver Table Spoons, fiddle pattern ; two old- fashioned silver Tea Spoons, one with embossed handle, the other piafc; a silver Fruit Knife, with imitation tortoiseshell handle ; a silver Thimble, a Sovereign, and 8s. in silver. Information to be given to James Etchells, Chief Superintendent of Police, Town Hall, Macclesfield.— Bow- street, March 4. Between the hours of 11 p. m. on the 1st and 6 a. m. on the 2nd instant, the shop of Mr. William Thomson, hardware merchant, Wigtown, was entered, by forcing open the window of the back shop, which communicates with the front shep, and the following property stolen therefrom, viz. : seven gold Rings ; a gold miniature Brooch ; a lady's gold Watch, num- ber 21094 ; a ditto, number 55266 ; a plated Brooch, with two white ivory swans ; a set of white cornelian studs ; a small gold Pencil Case, with turquoise stones ; from twelve to fifteen gold Watch Guards; a gentleman's gold Watch ; three silver Watches ; from six to eight gold- plated hair Bracelets, with stones; twelve German silver Guards ; about six gold Brace- lets ; six or seven plated ditto ; and £ 12 in Notes, Gold, and Silver, one of the notes, of the British Linen Company's Bank, has one corner torn off. Information to be* given to the Chi^ f Constable, Wigtown.— Bow- street, March 4. Between the hours of 7 and 12 a. m. on the 24th ultimo, during the absence of the family, the cottage of Gabriel Brice, of Castleleavington, near Yarm, in the North Riding of York- shire, was broken into by removing part of a window, and the following articles stolen therefrom : a grey Coat, with a pocket inside and two outside ; a grey Vest; a pair of brown cloth Trousers, black stripe down the side ; a light drab Top- coat, with an inside and two outside pockets ; a blue cloth Cap, ' flowered in front ; two silk Handkerchiefs ( one blue and white the other red and white); a Razor, marked ' England ' on the blade ; a silver verge Watch, with steel Chain attached.; and six common Tea Spoons. Two men, of the following descrip- tion, were begging at the farm- houses in the neighbourhood, and are suspected of having committed the robbery, as a pair of old black cloth trousers with a hole in the seat and an old dark cloth cap, which one of them wore, were left behind in the cottage; one was about 20 years of age, height about 5 feet 7 inches, and slender made ; the other about 30 or 35 years, of age, height about 5 feet; dressed in an old brown shooting coat and dark cap; they were both very dirty, and will probably be wearing part of the stolen clothes. Perry Barr, was j Jones, adjoining the Rookery Hall farm, Ettingshall, by whom entered and the following property stolen therefrom : a View j all reasonable expenses will be paid .- Bow- street, March 1. n In. 9. ins - t. lifi < ! , Supposed to bave been stolen from Higford Mill, Salop, of ancient Carthage, about 3ft." by 2 ft. 3 ins. ; the ' Prince of Wales and Prince Alfred,' about 24 ft. by 18 ins.; ' The Young Anglers' ( coloured), about 2 ft. by 18 ins. ; an old- fashioned Work box, red outside and blue inside ; a group of flowers in Needlework, framed ; a red and green Table- cloth ; and a ( toy) Pestal and Mortar. Entrance was effected by the window, which was leit unfastened. Information to be given to the property of Mr. E. Powell, miller, on the night of the 24th ultimo, a brown cob Mare, 6 years old, about 13 hands high, black legs, small white star on the forehead, small white marks on shoulders from traces, and also on the right thigh. The mare was seen* on the road between Cotsbrook Hall and Norton about 10 o'clock that night, and might have been rode off. ( No. 36) Thomas Griffiths, Norton, Between the hours of 10 p. m. on the 24th, and 7 a. m. on j Shiffnal, Salop.— Bon- street, March 1. the 25th ultimo, the house of William Hawkinson, of Northen- Etchells, in the county of Chester, was entered by forcing the j Sergeant John Richards, Police Mice, Smethwick, or to any Police Station in Staffordshire— Sow- street, March 4. parlour window, and the undermentioned property stolen there- from, viz.: two silver Salt. Spoons, and a silver Dessert dftto, all plain, and not marked. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Holliday, County Police, Stockport, Cheshire. — Bow- street., March ]. Between the hours of 10 p. m. on the 20th, and 0 a. m. on the 21st, instant, the ' Radnor Arms' public- house and shqp, Glascomb, Radnorshire,' was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom, viz.: a brown Overcoat, two i o ki'- cs outside, and one in left breast, three rows of stitching ! ~- jnd the bottom of the sleeves, and one round the bottom of iW£ 6at, large black buttons, a cag in the left sleeve, and a piece of black tape on the back of the collar; 7s. or 8s. in silver and copper Moneys, taken from a child's money- box, and two French pieces', one had ' Hotel du Nord,' round the rim, and ' Boulogne' across the middle ; a quantity of loose Tobacco, a roll of whipcord and leather Laces, with bits of wire for tags, the property of E. M. Jones, tire landlord. A man of the following description was drinking at the house during the day, and is suspected of committing the above offence : about 30 years of age, 3 feet 8 inches high, long visage, dark sallow complexion, whiskers under the chin; dres? ed in dark brown tag coat, cotton cord trousers, and thick square- toed lace- up boots patched over the toes, and dark cloth cap with leather peak, pointed down towards the nose very much. Also stolen, on the same night, from a shoemaker's shop in the same neigh- bourhood, a pair of lace- up Boots, brass eyelet holes, one boot- has been newly underlaid, nailed all round, three rows of round- headed nails in centre, and a row of square- headed nails round the outside; also a large blue Bundle Handkerchief. Information to be given to Mr. Geo. Johnson, Superintendent of Police, Penybout, Radnorshire.— Bow- street, February 27. Between the hours of 6' 30 and 9 p. m. on the night of the 24th instant, the dwelling- house of Mr. John Chitham, grocer, of Bond- street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, was entered by some person or persons, with a false key, who broke open a Cash Box, and stole therefrom five or six £ 6 Notes, fourteen or fifteen Sovereigns, and £ 5 in Silver ; one of the notes is supposed to he of the Tamworth Bank, No. 4993 or 5163, dated 9 th May, 1845, three are supposed to be of the Nuneaton Bank, numbers not known. Information to be given to S. Austin, Superinten- dent of Police, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.— Bow- street, Feb. 27. On the evening of the 24th instant, the dwellling- house of Miss Welch, of No. 4, St. Mark's- place, Widcombe, Bath, was entered by opening the front door with skeleton keys, and the following articles stolen therefrom : a gold Ring, with five various stones, a pebble Brooch, set in gold, a cornelian ( and other stones) Brooch, set in gold, a coral Brooch, a pdir of coral Ear- drops, a gold Watch Suspender, a Purse, containing 18s. in Silver, a small Box, containing four Sovereigns and some Silver, a silver Pencilcase with topaz stone, two silver Table Spoons, marked ' G. J. G.,' three silver Tea Spoons, two silver Salt Spoons, a gold Ring ( lady's), with five coral stones, a Gold Ring, with six red brilliants, with the centre stone gone, a gold Ring with white stone, a pa; r of gold Ear- drops and Rings, a silver Dessert Spoon, marked ' S. G.,' a large nebble Brooch, set in jeweller's gold, and a gold cornelian Pin^' itlr stone through the knot. Supposed to have been stolen, from a field on Egypt Farm, I in the parish of Brenchley, Kent, since the 20th ultimo, ' twenty Marsh Lambs, marked ' 4. B.' on off side, a liver mark down the back, a notch in near ear, and a hole in off ear. In- formation to be given to Mr. H. Dance, Superintendent of Police, Kent County Constabulary, Tonbridgg.— Bow- street, March 1. - Supposed to have been stolen out of a field at Holly Bush Farm, near Essington, Staffordshire, on the 20th instant, a brown Cob Horse Pony, 7 years old, 13 hands high, vunshod, rough coat, brand mark with the letters ' J H ' on the m> ofs of fore feet, the property of Mr. Thomas Hatton, farmer, ( Great Wyrley, near' Cannock. Information to be given ta P. C. Woollaston, Police Station, Essington.— Bow- street, Feb!. 27. AND CATTLE STEi. fi LD. Supposed to have been stolen on the 26th or 27th ultimo, from a common at Limpsfield, Surrey, a black mare Pony, aged, II hands high, white star on. forehead, fore legs crooked, and large knees, the property of Robert Miles. Information to be given to Superintendent A. H. Bungard,". Surrey Constabulary, Godstone.— Bow- street, March 6. Further particulars of the black Gelding stolen on the 27th ultimo, from the farm- yard of Mr. Kendall. A man of the following description went through Colerbrook turnpike- gate, leading a horse answering the description of the one stolen : he is about 40 years of age, .5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, dark hair and whiskers, and thin face ; dressed in dark coat buttoned up to the chin, pockets at side, light trousers, and brown biliycock hat with large brim.— Metropolitan Police, T Decision, March 6. The Stirk and two Calves, advertised in the Police Gazette, of the 27th ultimo, as supposed to have been stolen, from Duffield, Derbyshire, have been found and restored to the owner.— Bow- street, March 6. Supposed to have been stolen, within the last month or five weeks, from a field in the township of Norton, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the property of Mr. Robert Marsh, of Campsall, farmer, twenty Tup Hog Sheep, in good condition, all. jnarked on the near side with red paint, part of them have the tip of the near ear cut off, and a strip out of the same ear. They have been on turnips with other sheep, and have been in charge of a shepherd who has neglected to count them. Supposed by a man of the following description : a drover, between 40 and 50 years of age, about 5 feet 11 inches high, dark hair and whiskers, turning grey, and round- shouldered ; dressed in a drab swinger coat, drab trousers, and black hat. £ 10 reward will be paid by the Norton and Ackworth Associa- tion for the Prosecution of Felons, and £ 5 by Mr. Marsh, the ' owner, to any person giving such information as shall lead to ,,! the apprehension and conviction of the offender. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Hall, West Riding Con- stabulary, Sessions House, Pontefract — Bow- street, March 4. Stolen the 27th ultimo, from the farm- yard of William Kendall, Worton Farm, Isleworth, a black Gelding, 15 hands high, long mane and tail, no shoes, in good condition.— Metro- politan Police, T Division, March 4. Further information respecting the robbery from the saddle- room of Mr. Gill's trainer, Richmond, Yorkshire, adver- tised in the Police Gazette of the 7th December last and subsequent dates. The drab cloth overcoat, black cloth coat, corduroy trousers, leather leggings, half boots, and the shirt marked ' II' were all found secreted beneath a quantity of stones a short distance from the place on the 31st ultimo. BADGER, alias GINGER, the stable- boy suspected, was seen to come from the direction of the place where the- above articles were found on the 12th ultimo, and has not been seen or heard of since.
