HARKLESS LOVETT BLEWITT, advertised in the ' Police Gazette' of the 21st instant, charged with the Wilful Murder of his Wife, has bean apprehended.— Bow- street, June 23. Bottles,' I. Smith, Retford,' containing Rum and Gin; and four Bottles of ginger Wine.— Information ' to lie given to Thomas Kinder, superintendent of constabulary, East Retford, Notts, or to P. C. 70, Henry Mills, Dunham Police- station.— Bow street, June 23. Between the hours of 9 a. m. and 6 p. m. of the 17th inst., a Cottage, occupied by Chas. Holbrook, in the parish of Long- don, in the county of Worcester, was entered through the Bed- room window, and the following articles stolen therefrom, viz.: two Sheets and a Blanket, nearly new; a dark green livery Coat, with livery buttons ; a Waistcoat; two loaves of home- baked Bread ; and 2s. in Money. Supposed by a Tramp, who was seen near the house with mops and mats for sale, about 2 o'clock p. m. the same day.— Information to be given to Robert Trotman, police- officer, Longdon, near Tewkesbury.— Bow- street, Jime 22. On the night of the l8th instant, or early the following morning, the Dwelling- house of Mr. John Oliver, farmer, of Bramwith Woodhouse, near Thorne, was broken and entered, and two double- barrelled percussion Guns, stolen therefrom. One of the Guns has a very small bore, with the maker's name, ' Brunton, Doncaster,' on the breeches, and has been changed from the old system to the percussion principle, by heavy cylinders screwed in the sides of'the breeches ; the other Gun is more modern and valuable, the maker's name is unknown, but the place of residence is ' Perth,' engraved on the rib be- tween the barrels, and is a much heavier Gun than the other. The entrance was effected by throwing up the sash of the win- dow ; and the persons had only stockings on ; the mark of one was that of a Boy 12 or 14 years old, and the other that of a Man. The following night, two' persons broke into a House at Moss, near Askern, with two Guns, and demanded money of the occupier.— Information to be given to John Pigott, police- officer, Thorne.— Bow- street, June 22. On the 14th instant, about! 2 o'clock p. ra , the Dwelling- house of Mr. Henry Greathead, ; n the township of South Cow- ton, in the North Riding of Yorkshire, was broken and entered, and £ 2 16s. 10d., and a small tftiafc plain gold wedding Ring, were stolen therefrom. Supposed by two Tramps, who were seen near the house, of the following description : one about 26- or 27 years of age, 5 feet 0 or 7 inches high, sallow com- plexion, light- coloured hair, full face, thin roman nose, and stout made ; ^ yas dressed in a light- coloured round coat, with large stripe ( supposed to have pockets at the sides), cord trou- sers, and blnck hat ; the other about 20 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches highj slender made, and pockpitted ; dressed in a fusliau jacket or sleeved vest, and cap, which fits close to the head.— Information to be given to James Whiting, superin- tendent of police, Scorton, ueir Catterick, Yorkshire.— Bow- June 2i'.' a brown or blue round frock. Of the other Man, little de- scription can be given. One of the men had very thick lips. They are supposed to be London thieves.— Information to ba given to Henry Harper, superintendent of East Sussex consta- bulary, chief office, Lewes.— Bow- street, June 19. The House of Mrs. Chadwick, of Mottram, in longdcn-- dale, near Hyde, in the county of Chester, was broken and entered, between the hours of 11 o'clock at night on the I7tll instant, and 4 o'clock the following morning, and the following articles stolen therein, viz.: a black cloth dress Coat, lined with grey linsey, old- fashioned plain black buttons, and part worn ; a double- breasted black cloth Waistcoat, nearly new ; a green and yellow spotted plush Waistcoat, double- breasted, with white pevil buttons; a blue- and- orange coloured silk Waistcoat, quite new; a blue silk Neckerchief, with square white spots ; a pair of women's black cloth Boots, lace up the sides, much worn ; a black param& tta cloth Neckerchief; two pocket Pistols, silver mounted, flint locks, one of the Pistols has lost the mounting off the stock, engraved in the stocks and on the locks ; and about half a pound of soap.— Informa- tion to be given to Robert McElree, constable, Mottram, or at the Special High Constable's Office, Hyde, by whom all ex penses will be paid, on the apprehension of the offender ot offenders.— Bow- street, June 19. Between the hours of 11 p. m. on the 15th instant and 4 a. m. of the 16th instant, the Dwelling- house of Mr. Thomas Gibson, of Ilexbv, in the county of Lincoln, was entered, and the following articles were feloniously stolen therefrom, viz.: a pair [ of half- worn straight quarter Boots, nailed, middle size, and lightish made ; four German silver Tea- spoons, nCKs marked, and a cotton Shirt, plain front, three buttons, and two on the collar, which is linen, as are the wristbands.— Whoever will give such information as shall cause the offender or offenders to be convicted, shall rcceivo a Reward of £ 5, from the Wellingham Association.— Information to be given U> B. II. Cheney, superintendent of police, Gainsborough.— Boto- street, June 18. FORGERY. Absconded, I. GOLDSMID, charged with uttering forged Bill of Exchange, for £ 200. He is about 36 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, black eyes, hair, and whiskers, has a few grey hairs on the fore part of the head, and dark complexion ; dressed, on Sunday last, in a pair of lavender- coloured striped trousers, black satin waistcoat, purple figured satin stock, and a black or blue Eglington frock coat; he had a large pin, set with turquoise, in his stock, and a gold Albert chain and watch ; at other times he wears a dark- coloured ganibroon coat, and light gambroon trousers ( drab colour). He has a carpet bag, pattern, a parrot on a stand, a leather portmanteau, and a drab cloth box- coat: speaks English well, with a foreign accent, and is supposed to be either a Polish or German Jew.— Information to be given to I. Shackell, Scot- land- yard, London, by whom all expenses will be paid, or to T. C. Bims, police- officer, Chatham.— Bow- street, June 18. ROBBBRT FROM THI PMRSOJV. ISAAC PARKER, and CHARLES GOODGE, stand charged with having stolen a silver Watch, from the Person of Aaron Shepherd, at Ely Fair, on the 17th ultimo. PARKER has been apprehended and committed for trial; GOODGE is at large, and a warrant has been issued for his apprehension. He is about 17 or 18 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, light hair, and pale complexion ; dressed in a short fastian jacket, cord trousers, and cap without peak. He is very likely to be found at the rendezvous for recruits, in Charles- street, West- minster, as he is supposed to have gone for a soldier.— Infor- mation to be given to Edward Lipscomb, superintendent of police, Ely, Cambridge.— Bow- street, June 23. Stolen, between 1 and 2 a. m. of the 21st instant, from the person of Thomas Pugden, 2, Amelia- place, a single- cased sil- ver Watch, maker ' Louden, Blackfriars- road,' with silver Guard attached.— Metropolitan Police, B Division, June 22. Stolen, between the hours of 12 and 1 a. m., on the 18th instant, in Cheapside, from the Person of a Gentleman, a silver lever Watch, maker's name ' Dent, No. 4996,10923.'— Infor- mation to be given at Bow- lane Station.— Bow- strcet, June 19. On the night of the 18th instant, or early the following morning, the House of James Bridger, of Sip, was broken into, and a pair of Top- boots, nearly now, stolen therefrom, the property of James Bridger, Jun.— Information to be given to George Holloway, superintendent of the Hants constabulary, Petersfield division.— Bow- street, June 21. On the night of the 19th instant, or the following morn- ing, the House of Mr. John Vaughan, tailor and draper, in the parish of Yazor, in the county of Hereford, was broken and entered, and the following property stolen therefrom, viz.: two Oxford- grey Coats, one double- breasted, the other single- breasted, partly made up ; three moleskin Jackets, cut round ; two pair of cotton Drawers ; about a yard of red Flannel; and about a yard of black Serge : all new Also, an olive velveteen Jacket, with black horn buttons ; a pair of drab kerseymere Breeches ; a pair of cotton cord Breeches ; and a dark great Coat, not new.— Information to be given to James Cartwright, superintendent of police, Weobley, Herefordshire.— Bow- street, June 21. On the night of the 17th instant, or very early the follow- ing morning, some person or persons did feloniously enter the Dwelling- house of Thomas B. Locke, Esq., of Hessle Mount, and did steal and carry away therefrom two £ 5 Bank of Eng- land Notes; a Sovereign ; a round gold Seal, white stone, three birds on a cup thereon ; an oblong Seal, with red stone, and ' Hessle Mount' engraved thereon ; a gold Watch- key ; a gold Seal, in the shape of a shield, with a yellow stone, and a bird, with a padlock in its mouth ; a round Seal, with a black stone, and a griffin's head on it, the top of the seal being a watch- key; two short gold Chains, one with a ring in it; and a new blue double- breasted over Coat, with dress buttons.— A Reward of £ 20 will be paid by the Hessle and Anlaby Associ- ation for the Prosecution of Felons, and a further Reward of of £ 30 by the said Thomas B. Locke, Esq., to any person who will give such information and evidence as will cause the ap- prehension and conviction of the offender or offenders. HOtTSB- BRBAKmO,, On the night of the 18th instant, or early the following morning, the Dwelling- house of Mr. William Wheat, tailor and draper, Rampton, in the county of Notts, was feloniously en- tered, and the following property stolen therefrom, viz.: two silver Table- spoons, marked ' S. A. W.,' two silver Salt- spoons; a silver Mwtar4- spwn; a [ pair cf gugai;-) t>< ws; two stone On the morning of the 16th instant, between the houra of 12 and 1 o'clock, the Dwelling- house of Mr. William Barnes, farmer, of Lampool- green, in the parish of Maresfield, was burglariously brokenjopen, by four Men ( who are yet at large), and the following property stolen therefrom, viz. ; five silver Tea- spoons, old- fashioned, marked ' A. W. M. B. ;' six ditto ditto, rather large ; a salt ditto, marked 1 W. A. B.;' a pair of Spurs, plated ; a pair of silver Sugar- tongs, marked 1 W. A. B.;' an old- fashioned silver Watch, name and number unknown, with purple Ribbon, and a'gold Seal attached; five Sove- reigns, two Half- sovereigns, four Half- crowns, and £ 2 in small silver. One of the said Men was about 35 years of age, about 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, stout- built, round face, lightish complexion, of superior address ; dsessed in a light- brown cape, dark coat, and light neckerchief. One about 30 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, light complexion, not very stout; dre: sad in a blue smock- frock, light- blue trousers, cap with peak, and speaks like a tramping gipsy. Stolen or strayed, on the night of the. 20th or morning of the 21st instant, from a Field at Hopton- Wafers, in the county of Salop, a Black Mare Pony, aged, about 12 hands high, stiff built, long tail, thick mane, black legs, has had a kick on the near shoulder, which causes it to go lame.—£ 1 Reward will be paid by William Highfield, on conviction of the offender or offendeis and recovery of the Pony ; and all reasonable ex- penses, if found straying. Information to be given to the said William Highfield, Ilopton- Wafers, Salop.— Bow- street, June 23. Stolen or strayed, on the 21st instant, from the Cattle- market in Darlington, a Hazel- coloured Ox, about 40 or 44 stone weight, with one of its horns off; has a red mark front the loin to the tail, a red mark across the loins, and marked with four cuts on the near side between the hock and the rump.— Information to be given to Superintendent Anthony Robson, county constabulary, Darlington, Durham.— Bow- street, June 23. The Brown Cart Mare, and Black Cart Horse, advertised in the ' Police Gazette ' of the 18th instant, as stolen or strayed from Sedgley, in the county of Stafford, have been found and restored to the owner.— Bow- street, June 23. The Brown Pony, and Grey Waggon Mare, advertised in the ' Police Gazette' of the 2nd instant, as stolen from Wil- lenhall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, have been found and restored to the owner.— Bow- street, June 23. Stolen, on the night of the 21st instant, or early the fol- lowing morning, from a Field in the occupation of Mr. Wm. Nutt, of Moseley, in the parish of Kingsnorton, in the county of Worcester, a Brown Horse, 15 hands high, 6 years old, large head, wide between the ears, crooked blaze down the face, both hind feet white ( one more than the other), turns its toes out a little, a short switch tail, and has been lately shod on the fore feet.— A Reward of Seven Guineas will be paid by the Treasurer of the Kingswood and Packhouse Association for the Prosecution of Felons; and a further Reward of £ 5 by the said Mr. Nutt, on the restoration of the said Horse and conviction of the offender or offenders.— Information to bo given at Kingsheath Police- station, near Birmingham— Boc:- street, June 23. The three Asses advertised in the' Police Gazette' of the 18th instant, as stolon or strayed from the parish of ruckle- church, have been found and restored to the owner.— Bu it- street, June 22. Stolen or strayed, on the night of the 19th instant, a Bright Bay Mare, three parts bred, 6 years old, 15J hands high, with switch tail; no shoes on the hind feet. Also a Brown Gelding, half bred, 15 J hands high, 4 years old, and has not been docked.— If strayed, all reasonable charges will be paid to any person restoring the said Horses ; and if stplen, a Reward of £ 20 will be paid on conviction of the offender or offenders.— Information to be given to Henry Harper, superintendent of East Sussex Constabulary, Chief- office, Lewes.— Bow- strcet, June 22. The Mare Ass advertised in the ' Police Gazette ' of the 9th instant, as stolen or strayed from a Field at Comfort!!, in the parish of Bishop Middleham, in the county of Durham, ha* been found, and a warrant has been issued for the apprehen- sion of WILLIAM HOWE and JOHN HOWE, ass- colliers and besom- makers, of Stokesley, in the North Riding of York, for stealing and taking away the same. WILLIAM stands 5 feet 11 inches high, is about 35 years of age, fresh com- plexion, and generally wears a slop- frock, and low- crowned fot i JOHN is alwt 29 Fm tf m stands 5 feet 8 or 9 5154 POLICE GAZETTE June 23, inches high, sandy complexion, and generally wears cord trousers, plush waistcoat With sleeves, and sometimes a velvet jacket. They are well known in the North Riding of York- shire— Information to be given to W. C. Probert, police- officer, Coxhoe, in the county of Durham, who holds the war- rant for th. eir apprehension.— Bow- street, June 21. Absconded from Dowlais Iron- works, on the morning of the 16th instant, charged with stealing a draught Horse, which has been recovered, DAVID EVANS, a native of Dol- gelly, Merionethshire ; he is about 23 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, fair complexion, brown curly hair, flat- footed, and has lost a piece of the little finger of the left hand; dress ed in a blue homespun cloth coat, dark waistcoat and trou- sers, and low- crowned hat. He some time ago lived as ser- vant with Robert Owen, at a Farm called Henddol, in the parish of Clynen; his wife, Jane Evans, is now residing with her father, John Griffiths, at Tyntull, near Barmouth, Merio- nethshire, to which place it is supposed EVANS is now gone, and that he will afterwards make for some sea- port, and en- deavour to embark for America. He had £ 45 in his possession when he left Dowlais Iron- works.— Information to be given to Henry Wrenn, superintendent of Glamorgan constabulary, Merthyr Tydvil, Glamorganshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, June 21. Stolen or strayed, on the night of the 17th instant, or early the following morning, from lantilla Mill, in the parish of Penrose, in the county of Monmouth, a Light Bay Cart Mare, with dark brown legs, black tail, white stripe down the forehead, stands about 14 or 15 hands high, absut 8 years old, and in good condition.— Information to be given to Mrs. Watkings, of Lantilla Mill, or to the Police- officer, Monmouth.— Bow- street, June 21. Three Men, of the following description, have absconded from the neighbourhood of Enfield, supposed to be concerned with a Man in custody for stealing a Lamb, the property of Lady Barnes. One 35 or 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, fresh complexion, brown hair and whiskers ; dressed in a white frock, moleskin trousers, striped netted cap, and laced boots. Another 26 or 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, full face, brown hair and whiskers ; dressed in white frock, moleskin trousers, and nark cap with peak. The other about 27 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, freckled face, sandy hair ; dressed in a long fustian coat, and blue cloth cap. They are brick- makers, and it is supposed will applyfor work at some brick- fields near London.— Metropolitan Police, S Division, June 21. • Stolen or strayed, from a Field at Lynn, on the 18th in- stant, a Bright Bay Mare, 7 years old, 15 hands high, star on forehead, feet large and flat, and the hind ones white : the property of Mr. George Adcock.— If stolen, £ 5 Reward will be paid on'conviction of the offender or offenders ; if strayed, all reasonable expenses. Information to be given to J. Woods, superintendent of police, Lynn, Norfolk.— Bow- street, June 21. Stolen or strayed, on the night of the 11th instant, or early the following morning, from a Field adjoining the Bar- nard Castle Moor Road, near Hawksby Hill, in the county of Durham, a light- coloured Mare Ass, within six weeks of foal- ing, 4 years of age, with full tail, the property of Henry Thomp- son, of Barnard Castle Moor, farmer. Supposed by a Man of the following description, who called at the house on the 11th instant, and asked the said Henry Thompson the price of the Ass : he was dressed in a light brown coat, cord breeches, stout made, about 26 years of age, had riddles and spelks with him for sale, and is supposed to come from the neighbourhood of Rippon, in Yorkshire, and a notorious Ass- stealer.— Infor- mation to be given to Serjeant William Elliott, of Barnard Castle, Durham, County Constabulary.— Bow- street, June 21. Stolen or strayed, on the night of the 17th instant, from a Field in the parish of West Hatch, in the county of Somerset, a Black Cart Horse, the property of Mr. John Parsons, about 15 hands high, aged, grey hairs round the mouth, thin body, square quarters, both hind legs white to the fetlocks, and long switch tail.— If strayed, all reasonable expenses will be paid, on recovery of the Horse ; if stolen, any person giving such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders, will be handsomely rewarded. Information to be given to Mr. John Parsons, West Hatch, or at the Police- station, Staunton.— Bow- street, June 21. Stolen or strayed, from a Wood in the parish of Vaynor, in the county of Brecon, on the morning of the 15th instant. Dark Chesnut Mare, 7 years old, a little more than 14 hands high, star in the forehead, and a white mark round the near ear, and has also saddlermarks : the property of Evan Jones, farmer, of Pendrw- Glais, in the parish of Vaynor aforesaid. Information to be given to the said Evan Jones, or to Henry Wrenn, superintendent of Glamorgan Constabulary, Merthyr Tydvil.- i- iJow- sireef, June 21. Stolen or strayed, on the I st ultimo, from the neighbour- hood of Talybent, a Bay Mare Pony, from 10 to 11 hands high, 5 to 6 years old, the mane cut rather short on the neck, feet black from the knees, downwards, and rather long black tail; either brought a foal, or near foaling.— Any person giving in- formation of the said Pony, will be rewarded.— Information to be given to Mrs. Brace, 1 Queen's Head,' Brecon.— Bow- street, June 21. Stolen or strayed, on the night of the 19th instant, or early the following morning, from a Field in the parish of Bodham, near Holt, in the county of Norfolk, a Bay Cart Mare, 8 years old, about 15 hands high, in good condition, white shim down the forehead, wide across the hips, and either one or both of the hind feet are white.— Information to be given to Superintendent Blomfield, Thornage, or at the Chiei Constable's- office, Dunham, near Swaffham.— Bow- street, June 21. Stolen, on the night of the 16th instant, or early the fol- lowing morning, from a Close near the town of Oakham, in the county of Rutland, an aged Bay Horse, with black mane and black switch tail, 15 hands high, white star on the fore- head, whits on both the hind legs and on one fore legs, also a white spot nnder the belly, is rather lame at times, and has been fired on the fore legs ; the property of Mr. George Robert Dain.— Whoever will give such information as shall cause the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders, shall on his or their convicton, receive a Reward of £ 10 from the aforeasid Mr. Dain, of Oakham.— Information to be given to George Forcfe, chief officer of police, Oafcham, Rutland.— La w street, June 21. Stolen, during the night of the 13th instant, from Shin field Common, near Reading, in the county of Berks, the pro perty of Mr. Joel Bye, a Brown Horse, aged, about 14 hands high, white star on the forehead, near fore and off hind leg white, a small knot on the flank near side, burn mark on the rump,' C.,' and on the hip ' B.'— Whoever will give such infor niation as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive £ 5 Reward.— Information to be given to Henry Houtlon, superintendent, of police, Rea ding, Berks.— Bw- stmt, June 21. Stolen or strayed, during the night of the 15th instant, from a Field near the Black Dog, Stretton- on- Dunsmorc, in the county of Warwick, a Light Browa*% iding Ass, 6 year? old, bare along the back, collar marked and used to drawing, smith's mark on the fend of the shoes a nail- punch, and kicks and plunges if any person put their arms across his back.— If strayed, all reasonable expenses will be paid on the restoration of the same to the owner, Abraham Richardson, Stretton- on- Dunsmore.— Information to be given to Inspector Dencer, Stoneleigh, near Coventry.— Bow- street, June 19.
