Several shops in the arcade valued at different times; the valuation was generally appealed against, and they were reduced from 7 I. to 5 I., Lane 922- 931. Ryan, Edmond. Quarry- road, Cork ; house and ground attached, worth about 61.; partly let to lodgers, Young 1550- 1556 Registered in 1832, voted in 1837, Colburn 1557 Has not voted since 1832, Meagher 3141 Valued in the supplementary valua- tion at 5 I., and struck out upon appeal, Lane 1558. Ryan, Matthew. Butter- buyer, Bishop- street, Cork; registered for Cork in 1832; 110 trace of his name in any of the valuations, Lane 896. S. Sanders, Michael. Friar's- walk, Cork; valued at 6 I. in the supplementary valuation; re- gistered in 1832 ; returned as not being " rateable" till the spring of 1837, Lane 1150- 1152. Scanlan, John. Innkeeper, Mannix'- square, Cork; registered for Cork in 1832; he does not appear in the valuation, Lane 896. Scanlan, Maurice. Long's- lane, Cork ; his house worth about 6 I.; it is in very bad repair; compensation given him by the Wide Street Commissioners for part of his premises, Young 1947, 1948. 1950- 1962 He paid 81. 8s. per annum in 1832, Meagher 3345- 3348 He registered in 1832, and voted 1832, 1835, and 1837, Colburn 1948* He was valued at 4 /. in 1828 for a yard and stable, Lane 1949- 1952. Scannell, Thomas. Cooper, Fair- lane, Cork ; registered for Cork in 1832; he was valued in the supplementary valuation at 5/., and appealed, and was exempted, Lane 896. Schoales, Mr. Number of appeals in King's County against his decisions; they were all tried, and only one person allowed to register, Battersby 14174. 14184- 14192 Exa- mination as to his politics, Battersby 14196- 14211 - He is said to be an apprentice- boy of Derry, Battersby 14197.14205. " Scotch." There is no such denomination of land on the treasurer's books of Cork; per- sons resident in Carrigrohan register as of the lands of Scotch, Deeble 5478- 5480. Secret Societies. See Higgins, Dr. Illegal Societies. Servitude. See Freemen, Cork. Shanahan, Henry. Stone- cutter, White- street, Cork city; valued in 1828 at 211.; re- turned as " rateable" in 1834 ; registered in 1832 ; premises are still returned " rateable," though in a different name, Lane 1121- 1123. Shea, Michael. Francis- street, Cork; his house is worth about 61.; witness did not examine the inside of it, as the man had ran away, Young 1743, 1744. 1747- 1763- He registered in 1836; voted in 1837, Colburn 1745 His name does not appear in the valuation, Lane 1746. Sheehan, Daniel. Pope's- quay, Cork; the value of his house is about 5Z.; it might at one time have been worth 6/. or 7/., but never more, Young 1605- 1607. 1610- 1622 Appears on the valuation of 1828; he was rated in 1832, but returned " poor" from that period till 1836, when he was again rated, Lane 1608, 1609 Has not voted at any election since 1832, Meagher 3187. Sheehan, James. Victualler, Old Market- place, Cork; registered for Cork in 1832; he does not appear in the valuation, Lane 896. Sheehan, Jeremiah. Barrack- street, Cork; valued at 61. in 1828 ; returned " rateable" in spring 1832, and " poor" till the summer of 1835; he registered in 1832, Lane 1118- 1120. Sheehan, John. Farrell's- square, Cork; description of the premises occupied by him; their full value is 61. per annum, Young 2003,2004. 2006- 2008 - He registered in 1832, but has not voted at either of the elections, Colburn 2005. 2010 He has not voted since the election of 1832, Meagher 3365 He is valued at 5/. in the city books, Lane 2009, Meagher 3365. Sheehan, William. Circumstances connected with an alteration made by the sanction of the revising barrister in his affidavit of registry, Colburn 1313- 1353- Sheridan, Brien. Longford; quantity of land held by him; yearly rent; condition of the houses thereon; quantity of crop ground in 1837; amount of his beneficial interest therein, Flood 9020- 9042. Sheridan, Bryan. Of Robins- town, Longford ; ejectment brought against him for arrears of rent; lie had to pay \ l. for costs, Flood 8917- 8920. 643- Sheridan,
