Number of registered electors, 1836 ------- 1,192 Ditto - - - ditto - 1837 1,278 All the electors of Stockport are qualified by the 10 /. and upwards household qualifi- cation . The number who polled the last election was 881. 21 December 1837. W. B. Worthington, Mayor. STOKE- UPON- TRENT. The number of electors registered for the year commencing October 1836 - - 1,475 The number of electors registered for the year commencing October 1837 - - 1,667 All the qualifications in this borough are in respect of occupancy ; being a new borough, there are no freemen or burgage tenures.
