John Clay, Sheriff, Robert Weddell, Under- sheriff. Number of Electors who actually Polled at the late General Election. Number registered in the year 1836, 414; 25 of which were freemen, and the rest possessed of 10/. qualifications. Number registered in the year 1837, 400; 24 of which are freemen, and the rest possessed of 10 /. qualifications. There was no contest for the borough of Bewdley at the last general election. 15 Dec. 1837. John Nichols, Mayor. BIRMINGHAM. THE number of electors registered was, for 1836, 5,236; for 1837, 5555; all being 10/. householders: and the numbers polled at the late general election were, as nearly as can be ascertained, 3,110; the whole being 10/. householders. 23 December 1837.
