AT THE LAST GENERAL ELECTION. 303 TRURO. There are 14 freemen on the register of 1837 entitled to vote in the election of Members to serve in Parliament for this borough; all of those freemen, with one exception, are also entitled to such a vote by virtue of another qualification ; and all of those freemen, with one exception, are municipal electors. The total number of municipal electors on the register of this borough, since the revision of 1837, is 785 ; of whom 314 are not qualified to vote for Members to serve in Parliament, and none of them are so qualified as freemen only. 4 January 1838. H. H. Tizard, jun., Town Clerk. WIGAN. There were on the register of freemen or burgesses for 1837 in this borough, 38 freemen or burgesses entitled to vote in the election of Members to serve in Parliament; six of that number are not entitled to vote for Members of Parliament by virtue of any other qualification; and two of that number are not municipal electors. The total number of municipal electors on the register after the revision of 1837 is 1,200 ; 743 of that number are not qualified to vote for Members to serve in Parliament; and none of the freemen or burgesses are qualified as municipal electors by virtue of their being freemen or burgesses only, as a freeman or burgess ( except honorary burgesses, and we have only two) cannot be on the list of freemen or burgesses without being a rate- payer. 16 December 1837.
