Total number of municipal electors on the register of 1837 - Of these are qualified to vote also at the election of Members to serve in Parliament - -- -- -- -- -- Number of municipal electors who are not also qualified to vote"! for Members of Parliament - J There is no register of persons voting as freemen. 15 February 1838. 330 275 55 J. B.— The number of freemen entitled to vote in respect of any other qualification cannot be ascertained, as the overseers have not included in their householders' lists any of those who are registered as freemen, except in one or two instances ; probably about one- half of those registered as free- men would, if not so registered, be entitled to have their names on the house- holders' list. The number of the registered freemen who are not on the municipal register is - Number of municipal electors after revision of 1837 - Of whom are not qualified to vote for Members of Parliament - Of whom are qualified to vote for Members of Parliament as freemen only N. B.— For the reasons above stated many ( probably one- half) of those so qualified as freemen would also be entitled as householders, if the over- seers had included them in their lists.
