Containing the Substance of all Informations received in Cases of Felonies, and Misdemeanors of an aggravated nature, and against Receivers of Stolen Goods, reputed Thieves, and Offenders escaped from Custody, with the time, the place, and every particular circumstance marking the Offence. The Names of Persons charged, who are known but not in Custody, and of those who are not known, their Appearance, Dress, and every other mark of identity that can be described. The Names of Accomplicet and Accessories, with every other particular which may lead to their Apprehension. The Names of all Persons brought before the Magistrates, charged wiih any of the Offences mentioned, aid whether committed for Trial, Re- examination, or how otherwise disposed of. MURDER, AND MALICIOUSLY SHOOTING- OR STABBING- The following is a description of three men, who stand charged on the Coroner's Inquest at Albrough, Yorkshire, with the wilful murder of John Brown, viz., WILLIAM HACK- NEY, formerly a labourer, latterly an oyster- man, about twenty- six years of age, five feet six or eight inches high, about twelve or thirteen stone, of rather ruddy complexion, rather broad- set, dark eyes and hair, full faced, rather hi< rh in the cheek bones, left Hull on the morning of the 31st October, went to Boston, slept at Boston all night, and took the Perseverance coach for London at six o'clock on Friday morning the 1st November, outside, had on a dark great- coat, had two suits of clothes with him, one a new suit ot black, appeared to be much bruised about the forehead, had a bandage about his head, appeared to have much inward pain when he coughed, had a mark or scar from the corner of the right side of the mouth to the chin, was a native of Hull, and when he talks rather shows his teeth.— THOMAS WILKINSON, a nail- maker, a native of Hull, about twenty- eight or thirty years of age, about five feet eight inches high, eleven or twelve stone weight, walks / quick," takes short strides, rather sallow complexion, neither stout or slender, but in a middling way, thin of flesh in face, round face, rather high cheek- bones, supposed to be in Hull or the neighbourhood.— WILLIAM THOMPSON, by trade a butcher, about thirty years of age, stout made, about five feet eleven inches high, Veighs about fourteen stone, fair or ruddy complexion, generally wears a high- crowned hat, snuff- coloured coat, drab trowsers or breeches, gaiters or boots, walks very straight and upright, of rather genteel appearance, supposed to be a^ regular thief, and most probably well known in the ring, and amongst the thimblemen in London, supposed to be a Northamptonshire man, and probably now in London with Hackney, being his second. Information to be given to Mr. John Bowley, or Francis Smith, constables of Hull, Yorkshire. On Sunday night, the 3rd instant, about a quarter past twelve o'clock, a Police Constable of the K Division, was, without any provocation, stabbed under the right eye and left arm with a Knife, whilst on duty, by a man named JOHN SULLIVAN, who has been in custody of the Police several times: he is about five feet five inches high, stout made, twenty years of age, full face, fair complexion, dressed in a fustian jacket, straw hat, and white duck trousers. He has since left his lodgings.— Informa- tion to be given at the Police Office, Great Scotland Yard, or at the Police Station, Mile End Road. On Wednesday, the 30th ultimo, a Man and Woman, travel- lers, who are supposed to be still in the county of Kent, bar- barously assaulted, with intent to murder, Sarah Whatley ( a poor woman, sixty- four years of age, who keeps a beer- shop in Bearsted parish), with two pokers, one of which was broken and the other bent by the blows which they inflicted, chiefly on her head, so that at present there are but faint hopes of her re- covery. They robbed her of Eighteen Shillings and a bad Five- shilling- piece, which Mrs. Whatley thinks she took of them a few days previous.— The Man is nearly thirty years of age, about five feet eight inches high, of dark complexion, very dark hair and eyes, and dark pointed whiskers; he had on a short fuslian gaberdine, blue trousers, ancle- jack shoes, and a black hat. Tne Woman is about forty years of age, and of robust appearance ; she wore a dark straw bonnet and dirty light cot- ton gown. They had two small bundles, one of which was in a common black handkerchief: the man left a willow stick with- out the rind in the house.— Whoever will give such information as may lead to the apprehension of the offenders, shall, upon their conviction, receive Fifty Pounds Reward.— Information to be addressed to T. D. Jones, constable, Maidstone. ARSON AND WILFUL BURNING. Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, that on the night of Monday, the 4th of November, instant, a Rick of Straw," standing in the farm- yard of Mr. Samuel Bal- lard Pickett, at Wroughton, near Swindon, in the county of Wilts, was feloniously and maliciously set on fire by some per- son or persons unknown ; and that a Barn, Stable, and other Outbuildings, together with about ninety sacks of Wheat in the Bam, two Wheat- ricks, a Bean- rick, a hay- rick, and two ricks of Straw, besides other property of less value, were there- by totally destroyed; His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in setting fire to the said property hath been pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them ( except the person who actually set fire to the same) who shall discover and give evidence against his accomplice or accomplices therein, so that he she or they may be appre- hended and convicted thereof : And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hun- dred Pounds will be given to any person ( except as aforesaid) who shall discover the actual offender or offenders, so that he she or they may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence. Fifty Pounds of such Reward will be paid bv the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury, and the remaining Fifty Pounds by the said Samuel Ballard Pickett. Information to be given at the offices of Messrs. Bradford and Burt, Solicitors, Swindon, Wilts. Whitehall, October 29th, 1833. Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, That, on the night of Tuesday, the 15th day of October instant, or early on the following morning, some evil- disposed person or persons feloniously broke open the Dwelling- house of Mr. Scott, the Bailiff' of the Right Honourable Lord Montagu, at Ditton Park, Bucks, situated within the Moat, and attempted in two different places to set it on fire, by means of a quantity of gunpowder, taken from a tin box, found in one of the rooms; His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them ( except the person or persons who attempted to set fire to the house) who shall discover his Accomplice or Accomplices therein, so that he she or they may be apprehended and con- victed thereof. MELBOURNE. And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hun- dred Guineas is hereby offered to any person ( except as afore- said) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he she or they may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence.— Such Reward to be paid on application to Mr. Scott. ROBBERY FROM THE PERSON- JOSEPH SAYERS stands charged with having, on the 3rd day of September last, committed a robbery from the person of Robert Minns, of Offton, in the county of Suffolk, and a war- rant has been issued for his apprehension.— He is five feet eight inches high, light complexion, long visage, very sharp nose, long chin, thin person and face, light hair, about twenty- three years of age, and Uims his toes in when walking.— Whoever will give information that may lead to his apprehension, shall re- ceive Fifteen Pounds Reward, on application to the Church- wardens and Overseers of the said parish of Offton; or to Mr. Pownall, Solicitor, Ipswich. 2342 P O L I C E GAZETTE; Oi l , H U E A N D CRY. 2495 On Saturday, the 16th instant, as a Lad named Garwood,' was going from Glemsford to Lawshall, near Bury, Suffolk, he was stopped and robbed of two Sovereigns and ten Shillings in silver.— By a chimney- sweep named GEORGE, who is about five feet four inches high, about seventeen or eighteen years of age, has ' G. P.' marked on his left wrist, and speaks the broad Norfolk dialect.— Information to be given to Mr. It. Caney, police officer, Bury, Suffolk. HOUSE- BREAKING. On Friday night, the 15th instant, about ten o'clock, the House of Mr. Artes, No. 2, Marine- street, Bermondsey, was entered by means of skeleton keys, and the following property was stolen therefrom, viz.— Four Sovereigns, a Doubloon, four- teen yards of Silk, a dozen silver Dessert Knives and Forks ; a silver Snuff- box, initials on the lid < M. W. A.'; and a gold Brooch, set with pearls. On Sunday morning, the 17th instant, about six o'clock, one of the shutters of the shop window of Henry Ambrose, Shoe- maker, No. 195, the corner of Pell- street, Ratcliff- highway, on the side next Pell- street, was removed, a pane of glass broken, and the following articles were Stolen from the shop, viz.— Ninety- nine pair of new Shoes— including calf tie Shoes, marked ' S. W.'; ancle ditto, marked on the soles, ' E. C.'; double tie Shoes, marked ' S. S.'; Blucher Shoes, and Youth's ditto:" also nine pair of Women's laced leather Boots, stamped on the soles, ' S. W.' On Sunday evening, the 17th instant, between seven and nine o'clock, the House of Mr. Seed, No. 12, Cannon- street, New- town, Deptford, was entered by means of skeleton keys, during the absence of the family, and the following articles were stolen therefrom, viz.— Two silver Table- spoons, six ditto Tea- spoons ; three gold Rings ( one a fore- finger Ring, plait, in the shape of a diamond ; one a keeper, of guinea- goid; and the other a wedding- ring, broke in the centre) ; a silver Brooch, set with stones; one China Box, motto on the top, ' a token of friendship'; a large red silk Shawl; and a blue cloth Great Coat, with silk buttons. On Sunday evening, the 17th instant, between four and eleven o'clock, the House of Mr. Bennett, No. 53, Bethnal- green- road, was entered by means of skeleton keys, and the following articles were stolen therefrom, viz.— A silver Watch ; a metal Watch, maker's name ' Brown, George- street, Portman- square'; two pair of Sugar- tongs, marked ' W. E. B.'; a Caddy- nine Tea spoons, three Table- spoons, a Pepper- spoon, a Mustard- spoon, a silk Shawl, a linen Shirt, a pair of Sheets, and a cornelian Brooch set with pearls. Stolen, on Sunday morning, the 17th instant, about half- past two o'clock, from the shop window of Mr. Jackson, corner of Ropemaker's- fields, Limehouse, by removing a shutter, the following property, viz.— Three Men's Waistcoats, a Waistcoat piece ; a blue cloth Jacket, with stand- up collar, braided, single breast, marked ' C| M|.'; a Groom's Waistcoat, striped ; several brown silk Waistcoats, with cotton velvet roiling collars, and black cotton backs, marked ' L| R.'; several black striped velvet Waistcoats, with single collars; several black and blue cloth Waistcoats, marked ' E| R. li| R. and L| Q.'; a yellow skin Cap, a blue cloth ditto ; a pair of brown merino Trousers; a dark Valentia Waistcoat, marked ' R| R.'; and a yellow ditto, with rolling collar. On Monday evening, the 18th instant, between five and seven o'clock, the House of Mr. Anderson, No. 17, Dean- street, Tooley- street, was entered at the attic window, from an empty house, and the following property was stolen therefrom, viz.—•£ 15 in gold ; two pearl Rings; a gold Seal, set with tur- quoise and coral, impression a rock, motto ' Firm and faithful a gold Seal, impression an old man leading a dog, same motto; a gold Key, a small curb gold Chain, a valuable hair Chain WAR OFFICE, Jl List and Description of NAME. Zicmss AN3 CATTLE STEAIIHG. On Sunday night, the 17th instant, or early the following morning, a fat Ewe Sheep was stolen from a turnip fold in Berry Moor, and killed in Lamb's Ground, the property of Mr. T. Stevens, of Easington, near Banbury. The skin and entrails were left in the ground. A Reward of Five Pounds will be paid by Mr. T. Stevens, and a further Reward of Ten Pounds by Mr. J. P. Judge, Treasurer of the Neithrop Associa- tion for the Protection of Property, to any person giving such information as will lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders. On Saturday morning, the lGth instant, a Man went to Mr. j Thomas Griffin's, Castle and Falcon, Snow- hill, Birmingham, and hired a horse and gig to go to Dudley, and not return- ing, it is supposed he has stolen the same. The horse is a light chcsnut, aged, about fourteen and a half hands high, cut tail, j with broken knees. The gig a dennet one, painted green, picked out black, with brown lining. The man is about thirty- five years of age, and about live feet eight inches high ; had on a dark- brown top coat, a dark- red handkerchief with white spots, tied round his mouth, pale and thin face, marked with the small- pox. He gave his name as WILLIAM BOYCE, grocer, near the New Peacock, Aston- road. Information to be given to Mr. Griffin, Castle and Falcon, Snowhill, Birming- ham, aforesaid. Stolen, on Saturday evenings the 16th instant, about half- past six o'clock, from Tabernacle- walk, a Grey Horse, and a green painted Cart, with ' Kipling and Taylor' painted on the front and on the near side.— Information to be given at Wor- ship- street Office; to Messrs. Kipling and Taylor, No. 30, Cateaton- street, or No. 87, Basinghall- street, London. Stolen or Strayed, on Thursday night, the 14th instant, from Barnt Green, near Bromsgrove Lickey, a Bright Bay Horse, about fifteen hands and a half high, five years old oft', a star on the forehead, black legs, carries his tail a little on the off side, goes well, rather shies in riding, has been in harness, rough coated from having lain out to grass, and in good condition.— If Stolen, Fifty Pounds Reward will be paid on conviction of the offender or offenders, and if Strayed, any person restoring the horse will be rewarded, on application to Mr. Maughan, of Barnt Green. Stolen, on Thursday evening, the 14th instant, whilst stand- ing outside the door of a Public- house, in Great Queen- street, Lincoln's- inn- fields, a Bay Horse, of the coach breed ; has had both his knees broken: also a Cart, with brown body and wheels, and the name of'J. J. Bouring, No. 13, Lawrence Pountney Lane,' on it. The Cart contained two dozen empty wine baskets.— Information to be given at the Police- station, Bow- street. Stolen, on Saturday night, the 9th instant, or early the fol- lowing morning, from a Field, near the town of Great Marlow, a Black Cart Gelding, rising eight years old, white fetlock joints behind, a star in the forehead, the mane worn by the withers by drawing with the collar, and a long tail. Also a Black Cart Colt Gelding, three years old, star in the forehead, a white mark near the nostrils, white hind fetlocks, a long tail, bushy mane worn much on the withers by the collar, rather wide in the ears, and a few white hairs on the near shoulder.— Whoever will give information that may lead to conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive Ten Guineas Reward from Mr. Thomas Gibbons, Great Marlow, aforesaid. Stolen, on Sunday nighl, the 10th instant, from Clipston, in the county of Northampton, a Dark Chesnut Mare, seven years old, white star in her forehead, dark legs, switch tail with the longer hairs nipped off square, fifteen hands high, and is now in foal; her paps are large, and she was in good condition.— Also a Dark Grey Mare Pony, about thirteen hands and a half high, six years old, a little pinched under the saddle, and galled by the use of a crupper, a long thick haired tail, strongly made, thickish about the neck and head, can trot walk and canter well, and action high.— Whoever will give information that may lead to conviction of the offender or offenders and recovery of the mares, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, on application to Mrs. Gulliver, or Mr. W. Foster, of Clipstone, near Market Harborough. LARCENY. On Friday afternoon, the 15th instant, about one o'clock, a young Man named CHARLES STAPLETON, was sent by Mr. Bell, of Riley- street, Chelsea, to the Banking- house of Messrs. Ilerries and Co., Saint James- street, with a Checque for £ 25, for which he received 25 Sovereigns, and has Ab- sconded.— He is about nineteen years of age, five feet seven inches high, round face, dark curly hair, and dark eyes; and was dressed in a dark frock coat and trousers, black hat and boots. He was formerly in the service of Mr. Stirling, Coroner for Middlesex. Stolen, on Thursday, the 14th instant, from an upper room in the House of Mrs. Stieber, in Cable- street, Whitechapel, an old- fashioned tortoise- shell Watch, maker's name ' Moore.'— Sup- posed by a journeyman Butcher, named BOSTON, who has been occasionally employed by Mrs. Stieber; he is a German, about five feet seven inches high, stiff in person, about twenty- two years of age, has dark hair and whiskers, generally has on a blue frock and trousers, but sometimes wears a grey jacket. Stolen, on Monday, the 18th instant, from No. 53, Lant- street, Borough, a Silver Watch, with a patent flint glass ; also a linen Shirt, marked ' J. J.'; and a cotton Shirt, not marked. — A Man, named NICHOLLS, who lodged in the house, and who has since absconded, is supposed to nave stolen the above. Absconded, from the service of Mr. Langan, No. 67, Upper Berkeley- street, JAMES FEARNEY or CAREY, stealing and taking with him the following articles, the property of his master, viz.— Six silver Forks, initials ' G. C.', very old- fashioned ; five French plate plain silver Tea- spoons : an old- fashioned silver Tea- pot, marked ' G. C.'; three silver Table- spoons, crest a Tiger's head ; a silver Butter- knife, with ivory handle; two dark green Frock Coats, lined with silk; and some Shirts, marked ' F. L.'— He is about five feet six inches high, rather stout, and of sallow complexion. THOMAS TUDD stands charged with being concerned in robbing Mr. Joseph Brown ( of Streering), at Great Parndon, Essex, on the 4th instant, and has absconded.— He is about five feet five inches high, fair complexion, and has the appearance of a countryman ; was dressed in a dark smock- frock, broad brimmed dog's- hair hat, and high shoes. He was seen on Sa- turday, the 16th instant, at Brentwood, in company with his wife: supposed to be in London or its neighbourhood, or in Kent.— Any information that will lead to Ins apprehension, to be given to William Higgins, Bow- street Horse Patrol, stationed at Epping, Essex. On Tuesday afternoon, the 19th instant, between twelve and two o'clock, about twenty- three yards of narrow Velvet was cut and stolen from a Loom, at No. 5, Little York- street, Bethnal- green, the property of Joseph Estall.— Supposed to have been stolen by JOHN LACEY otherwise HORTON, a journeyman silk weaver, who worked in the same room, and has absconded. He is about five feet four inches high, slender made, dark com- plexion, light hair, long visage, and a little pitted with the small- pox; he was dressed in a rusty black coat, black waist- coat, a pair of old dark green trousers, high shoes, and an old broad brimmed beaver hat: information to be given to William Attfield, at Worship- street Office. On the 5th instant MATTHEW EGAN was employed by James Brennan to carry a Box containing Fifty- one Sovereigns, Five Bank of England Notes, value Five Pounds each, and various other articles, from Newport Salop to Liverpool, and at Bletchley, about Four Miles from Market Drayton, Salop, he broke open the Box and stole the contents. The said MATTHEW EGAN is about five feet six inches high, about thirty years of age, sandy whiskers, and hair rather dark, com- plexion full, round face, broad shoulders, thick set, and wore at the time a short Stable Jacket, Corderoy Breeches, a pair of old Leggings, is a native of Mayo Ireland, and has a father ( Martin" Egan) living at Bolton in Lancashire. Whoever will give such Information as will lead to the conviction of the said MATTHEW EGAN and recovery of the property, shall receive a Reward of Ten Pounds on application to Mr. Wm. Worral, Constable, Newport, Salop, aforesaid. Absconded, on Monday afternoon, the 11th instant, from the employ of Mr. Taylor, Carrier, High- street, Hampstead, ROBERT STEVENS, stealing and taking with him a Parcel containing £ 8 in money; and an Order for Grocery, to Mr. Withers, High- street, Aldgate.— He is about fifteen years of age, four feet six inches high, very dark complexion, dark hair and eyes; he was dressed in a livery frock coat, corduroy trousers, and a black glazed cap. Stolen, on Wednesday night, the 13th instant, or early the following morning, from the ' Queen's Head ' Public- house, at Shrewsbury, the following articles, viz.— One snuff- coloured cut- off Jacket, a brown Waistcoat, a spotted ditto, a pair of cassimere Breeches, a Hat, a black silk Handkerchief, a pair of top Boots ; a silver Hunting Watch, maker's name ' Matthews, Welsh Pool,' with steel Chain, yellow Seal and Kev; and £ 4. 10s. in money.— By THOMAS JONES, a Recruit in the Artillery, who was billettcd at the said house. He left behind him the old clothes he used to wear, viz. an old blue sailor's jacket and a pair of dirty duck trousers : he is about five feet nine inches high, rather round shoulders, full cheek- bones, large whiskers, about twenty- one. years of age, has the Irish accent, and states he was born at St. Paul's, Liverpool.— Whoever will give such information as shall lead to conviction of the offender, shall receive Three Guineas Reward, by applying to Samuel Farlow, police officer, Shrewsbury. FRAUBS AKD AGGRAVATED MISDEMEANOURS. A Man, who gives his name THOMAS FAREBROTIIIER, and who says his last place of residence was No. 23, Tottenham- court- road, near the Paddington- road, and that he was formerly a publican, but at present out of employ, was apprehended, on the 9th instant, at Tottenham, on a charge of Fraud. He went about to different houses and represented himself as one of the overseers of the parish, that he was making a collection for a poor woman who had recently lost her husband by an accident, in order to furnish her with a mangle and washing- tubs; by means of which pretences, he obtained several sums of money. — He is about sixty- four years of age, five feet eight inches high, fair complexion, grey eyes, and hair inclined to grey ; he hail on a black coat and trousers, velveteen waistcoat, shoes, and white stockings.— There were two other Men with him, in a chaise- cart, which was in attendance at a short distance from the house he called at. It is suspected he has been committing similar frauds about London.— He is committed to the New Prison, Clerkenwell, for trial. At one house he went to a pair of gold spectacles was missing, and it is suspected that he knows something about them.— Information to be given to J. Forster, constable, Tottenham, Middlesex. IVIXSCEX. I. ANEOUS INFORMATIONS On Thursday afternoon, the 14th instant, Jane Catharine Keane, aged ten years, the Daughter of Thomas Keane, of No. 12, Ann's- row, Bethnal- green, was sent by her mother, with a Bundle, containing a Shift, two Aprons, a Cap, and a silk Handkerchief, to carry to Leman- street: at the corner of Fashion- street, Spitalfields, she was accosted by a Female ( dressed in a dark coloured worsted shawl and black bonnet, and having a scar on the side of her face), who pretending to know the person to whom the child was going, requested her to go into a house in Fashion- street and ask for ' Mary,' which the child did, leaving the bundle in cliargc of the woman, who on her return was gone off with it.— No such person as Mary was known at the house. PROPERTY STOLEN. Stolen, on Friday afternoon, the 15th instant, from No. 30, Regent- street, a brown cloth Cloak, lined with black silk, and a breadth of black velvet down the fronts, stand- up collar lined with velvet, silk cord, and tassels : the property of Lord Wm. Lennox.— Supposed by a Female who lodged in the house. Stolen, on Saturday morning, the 16th instant, between eleven and twelve o'clock, from the Shop of Mr. Basil Rout, No. 161, Oxford- street, 90 yards of dark green Silk with red selvage. — By two Women, of respectable appearance, with cloaks. Stolen, on Saturday evening, the 16th instant, from No. 54, Berwick- street, Saint James, a drab Great Coat, with velvet collar, the cuffs lined with silk and the inside with shalloon : the property of John Engels. Found, Duplicates of the following articles, supposed to have been stolen, in the possession of two Men, who are remanded for re- examination, at hatton Garden Office, on Wednesday, the 20th instant, viz.— A double- bottomed silver Watch, stops '' and seconds, No. 4166, maker's name ' Machie, City- road,' ( and sold in the year 1822, to a Mr. Herne), with a gold Seal and Key and steel Chain attached; a fine linen Shirt, full bosomed ; a ditto ditto, marked ' R. T.'; a handsome brace of Pistols, made by ' Hill, London'; a ditto ditto ditto, ' Gillett, Bristol'; a small pistol percussion Lock, made by ' Southall," with a silver plate; a brace of Pistols, made by ' Beckwith,' with silver plates ; a ditto ditto, made by ' Riddell, London,' and marked on the stock ' G. I.'; a handsome Clothes- brush, about six inches long, with satin wood back; two cornelian Brooches ( one a large oval set in gold); a pearl handle Pen- knife with one blade, a silver plate on one side of the handle, the other side cracked, and inclosed in a small black case; eight mason's Chisels; a plasterer's Hammer, marked ' W. Child'; a 24- inch Rule, marked ' Moss, maker, London,' also the name of ' Thomas Tarryes Smith, 1832,' and a Latin in- scription ; a great number of Smith's Tools, several Stocks and Dies, with Vices of different sizes; a new pair of men's Shoes, marked on the outside of the sole ' E.'; and two silk Hand er- chiefs.— Application to be made at the Police- station, Islington Green. Stolen, on Friday, the 15th instant, from the Shop Door of John Hatfield, of No. 33, Carnaby- street, Saint James, plumber, a pair of Steps, about six feet high and eighteen inches wide, with the name of ' Hatfield ' cut on the side. Stolen, within the last five weeks, from No. 159, Regent- street, a silver Dessert- spoon and a silver Tea- spoon, shell pat- tern, fiddle- headed and shouldered : the property of Miss Mary Ansell. Stolen, on Sunday morning, the 17th instant, between ten and eleven o'clock, from the person of a Boy, about eight years of age, named Richard Vaughan, in Saint John's Passage, Clerkenwell, a Bundle of clean Linen, containing four linen shirts, a night- shirt, five cravats, a pair of stockings, four pair of socks, and a silk handkerchief.— By a Woman, dressed in a red shawl, and a straw bonnet trimmed with green ribbon, who gave the Boy threepence to go an errand, and during his absence decampcd with the bundle. Stolen, in East Smithfield, from the person of William Caster, a Silver double- cased Watch, with figured dial, snake hands, and thick glass with bull's eye, maker's name ' Samuel Rugless, London, No. 600': also a gold split Ring; a steel Chain ; a gold Seal, with chrystal stone, engraved ' W. C.'; a small gold Seal, with white cornelian stone; and a gold Key, with white cornelian on one side and red on the other. Stolen, in the Brig ' Richard and Ann,' on the Thames, four narrow striped cotton Shirts, and one linen ditto, marked ' S. B.'; four pair of Stockings, same mark; two black silk Handkerchiefs, a pair of flannel Drawers, three ditto Shirts, a Telescope, a Razor and Case, a pair of chequered Trousers, two Jackets, a Waistcoat, and a pair of Scissars: the property of Stephen Bergen. Stolen, on Monday evening, the 18th instant, about six o'clock, from the House of Mr. Wooller, Nelson- square, South- wark, a superfine blue cloth Cloak, lined with black silk. Stolen, on Monday, the 4th instant, from a Cart, between Fenchurch- street and the Regent's Park, a Carpet Bag, con- taining the following articles, viz.— A blue Coat, a black frock ditto, two grey silk Waistcoats, a figured brown and yellow ditto, three pair of black Trousers, one pair of drab Kerseymere ditto, one pair of Cachmere ditto, one pair of Scotch plaid ditto, one Cachmere Neckerchief, one yellow silk Handkerchief, one old flannel Dressing- gown, two air Cushions ( one for a seat, and one circular for the neck), and one number of the ' Christian Observer.'— The Bag had a brass plate upon it, with an inscription ' Symes,' not' Squires.' Stolen, on Thursday, the 14th instant, from the ' Three King's' Public- house, in Piccadilly, a leather Portmanteau, containing one dark green new Coat, a new silk dark red Waist- coat, a pair of black cloth Trousers, a pair of top Boots, two Shirts marked ' W.', three silk Handkerchiefs, a butler's morn- ing Jacket, three white Cravats, three Shirt- collars, a white Waistcoat, and sundry Papers and Memorandums. W.' are on the portmanteau in brass nails.— Supposed by a Man who lodged in the house, of shabby appearance, very short, full- faced, about twenty- five years of age, alnd had on a fustian frock coat. Stolen, on Tuesday evening, the 12th instant, about half- past six o'clock, from outside the Shop of Mr. Robinson, Salesman, Waterloo- road, a pair of Pistols, with stop locks, and the name of' Fletcher' on the stock of each. Stolen, on Monday forenoon, the 4th instant, in Fenchurch- street, from the person of Mr. Symes, Solicitor, of the same street, the following Bank of England Notes, viz.— One for Twenty Pounds, No" 13968, dated 28th September, 1333 ; and three for Five Pounds each, No. 8874 and 10395, dated 11th September, 1833, and No. 7070, dated 14th September, 1833.— Nos. 10395 and 7070 have since been paid into the Bank ; the former from the East India Company, and the latter from Messrs Glynn and Company.
