Containing the Substance of all Informations received in Cases of Felonies, and Misdemeanors of an aggravated nature, and against Receivers of Stolen Goods, reputed Thiives, and Offenders escaped from Custody, with the time, the place, and every particular circumstance marking the Offence. The Names of Persons charged, who are known but not in Custody, and of those who are not knoivn, their Appearance, Dress, and every other mark of identity that can be described. The Names of Accomplices and Accessories, with every other particular which may lead to their Apprehension. The Names of all Persons brought before the Magistrates, charged with any of the Offences mentioned, aid whether committed for Trial, Re- examination, or how otherwise disposed of. Also a Description of Property that has been Stolen, and particularly of Stolen Uotscs, with as much particularity as can be given, with every circumstance, that may be useful for the purpose of Tracing and Recovering it. IVIUH. DEH, ASD MALICIOUSLY SHOOTING OR STABBING- The following is a description of three men, who stand charged on the Coroner's Inquest at Albrough, Yorkshire, with the wilful murder of John Brown, viz., WILLIAM HACK- NEY, formerly a labourer, latterly an oyster- man, about twenty- six years of age, five feet six or eight inches high, about twelve or thirteen stone, of rather ruddy complexion, rather broad- set, dark eyes and hair, full faced, rather high in the cheek bones, left'Hull on the morning of the 31st October, went to Boston, slept at Boston all night, and took the Perseverance coach for London at six o'clock on Friday morning the 1st November, outside, had on a dark great- coat, had two suits of clothes with him, one a new suit ot hlack, appeared to be much bruised about the forehead, had a bandage about his head, • appeared to have much inward pain when he coughed, had a mark or scar from the corner of the right side of the mouth to the chin, was a native of Hull, and when he talks rather shows his teeth.— THOMAS WILKINSON, a nail- maker, a native of Hull, about twenty- eight or thirty years of age, about live feet eight inches high, eleven or twelve stone weight, walks quick, takes short strides, rather sallow complexion, neither sttjut or slender, but in a middling way, thin of flesh in face, round face, rather high cheek- bones, supposed to be in Hull or the neighbourhood.— WILLIAM THOMPSON, by trade a butcher, about thirty years of age, stout made, about five feet eleven inches high, weighs about fourteen stone, fair or ruddy complexion, generally wears a high- crowned hat, snuff- coloured coat, drab trowsers or breeches, gviters or boots, walks very straight and upright, of rather genteel appearance, supposed to be a regular toief, and most probably well known in the ring, and amongst the thimblemen in London, supposed to be a Northamptonshire man, and probably now in London with Hackney, being his second. Information to be given to Mr. ' k John Bowley, or Francis Smith, constables of Hull, Yorkshire. On Sunday night, the 3rd instant, about a quarter past twelve ; o'clock, a Police Constable of the K Division, was, without any provocation, stabbed under the right eye and left arm with a knife, whilst on duty, by a man named JOHN SULLIVAN, who has been in custody ofthePolice several times: he is about five feet five inches high, stout made, twenty years of age, full face, fair complexion, dressed in a fustian jacket, straw hat, and white duck trousers. He has since left his lodgings.— Informa- tion to be given at the Police Office, Great Scotland Yard, or at the Police Station, Mile End Road. On Wednesday, the 30th ultimo, a Man and Woman, travel- lers, who are supposed to be still in the county of Kent, bar- barously assaulted, with intent to murder, Sarah Whatley ( a poor woman, sixty- four years of age, who keeps a beer- shop in Bearsted parish), with two pokers, one of which was broken and the other bent by the blows which they inflicted, chiefly on her head, so that at present there are but faint hopes of her re- covery. They robbed her of Eighteen Shillings and a bad Five- shilling- piece, which Mrs. Whatley thinks she took of them a few days previous.— The Man is nearly thirty years of age, about five feet eight inches high, of dark complexion, very dark hair and eyes, and dark pointed whiskers ; he had on a short fustian gaberdine, blue trousers, ancle- jack shoes, and a black hat. The Woman is about forty years of age, and of robust appearance; she wore a dark straw bonnet and dirty light cot- ton gown. They had two small bundles, one of which was in a common black handkerchief: the man left a willow stick with- out the rind in the house.— Whoever will give such information as may lead to the apprehension of the offenders, shall, upon their conviction, receive Fifty Pounds Reward.— Information to be addressed to T. D. Jones, constable, Maidstone. ARSON AND WILFUL BURNING. Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, that on the night of Monday, the 4th of November, instant, a Rick of Straw, standing in the farm- yard of Mr. Samuel Bal- lard Pickett, at Wroughton, near Swindon, in the county of Wilts, was feloniously and maliciously set on fire by some per- son or persons unknown ; and that a Barn, Stable, and other Outbuildings, together with about ninety sacks of Wheat in the Barn, two Wheat- ricks, a Bean- rick, a Hay- rick, and two ricks of Straw, besides other properly of less value, were there- by totally destroyed ; His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in setting fire to the said property hath been pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them ( except the person who actually set fire to the same) who shall discover and give evidence against his accomplice or accomplices therein, so that he she or they may be appre- hended and convicted thereof: And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hun- dred Pounds will be given to any person ( except as aforesaid) who shall discover the actual offender or offenders, so that he she or they may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence. Fifty Pounds of such Reward will be paid bv the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury, and the remaining Fifty Pounds by the said Samuel Ballard Pickett. Information to be given at the offices of Messrs. Bradford and Burt, Solicitors, Swindon, Wilts. Whitehall, October 29th, 1833. Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, That, on the night of Tuesday, the 15th day of October instant, or early on the following morning, some evil- disposed person or persons feloniously broke open the Dwelling- house of Mr. Scott, the Bailiff of the Right Honourable Lord Montagu, at Ditton Park, Bucks, situated within the Moat, and attempted in two different places to set it on fire, by means of a quantity of gunpowder, taken from a tin box, found in one of the rooms; His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them ( except the person or persons who attempted to set fire to the house) who shall discover his Accomplice or Accomplices therein, so lhat he she or they may be apprehended and con- victed thereof. MELBOURNE. And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hun- dred Guineas is hereby offered to any person ( except as afore- said) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he she or they may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence.— Such Reward to be paid on application to Mr. Scott. FORGERY. On Tuesday, the " » th instant, a Man calling himself HENRY BENSON, obtained a Box of Irish Linen and £ 26 in cash of Mr. John Townley, Linen Hall, Dublin, on Bills purporting to be accepted by Hammersley's, Bankers, London; which accept- ances are forgeries. The Bills purport to be drawn by Rehaiix, Fils, and Co.; daled Rouen, 20th Sept.; the other on Ilam- mersley and Co., Bankers, London, at thirty days sight, and made payable to Messrs. Rebon, Fins, and Co.— The said HENRY BENSON is about five feet ten inches high, rather slender, large black whiskers, and a pearl or some other similar mark on his right eye; when in Dublin he was dressed in black. — Ten Poivds Reward will be paid, by Mr. John Townley, on the apprehension of the said HENRY BENSON. 2334 POLICE GAZETTE; Oi l , H U E A N D CRY. 2495 ROBBERY FROM THE PERSON- On Monday, the 4tii instant, as Joseph Brown, of Shering, near Harlow, Essex, and John Press, of Great Farndon, Essex, were returning from Broadly Common, they were attacked by three Men, about eight o'clock in the evening ; two of them were dressed in smock- frocks and hats, and the third in a jacket and cap: they knocked Brown and Press down: Brown was severely beaten, and robbed of a purse containing a sovereign and 15s. or 16s. in silver, also a silver Watch, the figure 7 on the dial- plate was worn or chipped off, and to the watch were attached a metal Seal and two Keys, and in the case was a watch- paper bearing the name of ' Pratt.'— It is probable that ihe watch might be brought into the neighbourhood of White- chapel. HOUSE- BREAKING. On Tuesday morning, the 13th instant, the dwelling- house of Mr. Thomas Upfill, Wheeler's- lane,- Edgbaston, near Bir- mingham, was broken and entered, and the following articles stolen therefrom :— Six Silver Table- spoons ( marked T. C. U.), six ditto ditto ( plain), one dozen large Silver Table Forks, one dozen small ditto, one Silver Fish Knife, one Silver Cream Jug, one pair of Silver Sugar Tongs, two pair of Plated Nutcracks, one Tortoiseshell Card Case, inlaid with Pearl; twelve Silver Salt Spoons, eighteen Silver Tea Spoons, one Willow Snuff- box, with a willow tree painted upon the lid ; two small Papier- i inachee Snuff- boxes, one large ditto ditto ( painted), one Coral | Necklace, with Brooches, end various other articles.— Whoever will give such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offenders, shall receive a Reward of Twenty Guineas from the said Mr. Thomas Upfill, or from Mr. G. Red- fern, Public Office, Moor- street. On Friday evening, the 8th instant, between six and seven o'clock, the House of Mrs. Cooper, No. 21, Little Thomas- street, Oakley- street, Lambeth, was entered by means of skele- ton keys, and the following articles were stolen therefrom, viz. — A metal Watch, maker's name ' Johnson, No. 1801'; a red stuff Gown, a light cotton Gown, an olive- green Cloak with three capes, and a green Shawl.— Suspicion is attached to Mrs. Cooper's Son, a lad about eighteen years of age. On Saturday night, the <> th instant, between eight and ten o'clock, the House of Mr. Gooding, Grocer, Hoxton Town, was entered by means of skeleton keys, and the following articles were Stolen therefrom, viz.— A lavender colour silk Dress, a black ditto, a dark cloth Cloak, a tea colour silk Shawl, a red ditto with flowers, and a green and white net Handkerchief.— A phosphorus box, chisel, and handkerchief, were left behind. On Sunday evening, the 10th instant, the House of Mr. Henry Shaw, No. 33, Laystall- street, was entered by means of skeleton keys, and the following articles were Stolentherefrom, viz.— Four Tea- spoons, two Table- spoons, and one Mustard ditto, all marked ' S.'; one Dessert- spoon, « C. H. S.; two Tea- spoons, one Table ditto, one pair of old- fashioned Sugar- tongs, one old- fashioned Cream- jug, a gold Brooch, a garnet Pin, ei « ht silk Handkerchiefs, a green Great Coat, and a pair of black Trousers. On Sunday evening, the 10th instant, between six and nine o'clock, the House ot Mr. Boxin, Farrier, Chiswell- street, Saint Luke, was entered by means of skeleton keys, and the following property Stolen therefrom, viz.— Fifty- two Sovereigns, about three Pounds in silver, a five- pound" Note, eight silver Tea- spoons, and two Table ditto; also the following articles be- longing to Mr. Groombridge, a Lodger, viz. a pair of Sugar- tongs, marked ' A. W.'; three Tea- spoons, ' G.'; a plain enamelled Ring, and a Ring with Bristol stones. On Tuesday morning, the 12th instant, the Dwelling- house" of Edith Holmbann, of No. 10, Gwynn's- place, Hackney- road, was broken and entered, by forcing out the shop shutters and breaking a square of glass, and the following articles Stolen, viz.— Two dozen pair of Women's Slippers, nine pair of double- sole Women's Boots, eighteen pair of Children's Shoes, six pair of Gentlemen's coloured Slippers, nine or ten pair of Women's Clogs, two pieces of Ribbon, a Show- glass, a quantity of Boot- laces, Stay- binding, Pins, and other articles.— Information to be given to Thomas Eagles, police constable, at Worship- street Office. On Monday night, the 11th instant, the House of Mr. Keyser, No. 5, Keppel- row, New- road, Fitzroy- square, was entered, and the following articles were stolen therefrom, viz.— A large pier Glass, a quantity of Dresden China, two glass Saltcellers, three silver Table- spoons marked ' J. D.', five Salt- spoons, a silver Punch- ladle, five Tea- spoons; a Violin, in a black case, with two bows ; a mahogany Liquor- case with bottles, a Canister, a diamond Brooch, £ 60 in notes and gold, £ 5 in silver, a ser- vant's Work- box, four gold Ring's, and four lace Caps. Stolen, on Monday evening, the 11th instant, between seven and nine o'clock, from the House of Mr. Stollebrass, No. 79, Goswell- street, the following articles, viz.— A brown Petersham Great Coat, with velvet collar; a gold Pin; a hair curb Chain, gold mounted ; a large gold Key, with white cornelian; a mourning Pin; and ten Sovereigns and a Half.— The entrance was effected by means of a skeleton key, which was left. behind. HOUSE AND CATTLE STEALING. Stolen, on Saturday night, the 9th instant, or early the fol- lowing morning, from a Field, near the town of Great Marlow, a Black Cart Gelding, rising eight years old, white fetlock joints behind, a star in the" forehead, the mane worn by the withers by drawing with the collar, and a long tail. Also a Black Cart i Colt Gelding, three years old, star in the forehead, a white mark ' near the nostrils, white hind fetlocks, a long tail, bushy mane worn much on the withers by the collar, rather wide in the ears, ! and a few white hairs on the near shoulder.— Whoever will give information that may lead to conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive Ten Guineas Reward from Mr. Thomas Gibbons, Great Marlow, aforesaid. Stolen, on Sunday nighl, the 10th instant, from Clipston, in the county of Northampton, a Dark Chesnut Mare, seven years old, white star in her forehead, dark legs, switch tail with the longer hairs nipped off square, fifteen hands high, and is now in foal; her paps are large, and she was in good condition.— Also a Dark Grey Mare Pony, about thirteen hands and a half high, six years old, a little pinched under the saddle, and galled by the use of a crupper, a long thick haired tail, strongly made, thickish about the neck and head, can trot walk and canter well] and action high.— Whoever will give information that may lead to conviction of the offender or offenders and recovery of the mares, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, on application to Mrs. Gulliver, or Mr. W. The Horse is a chesnut colour, about fourteen hands high, brushed knees, and a star in the forehead. The Gig is painted yellow, and new- shafts ; there is a stag's head on the harness. A Reward of Five Pounds on the recovery of the horse and Gig, and a farther Reward of Five Pounds on conviction of the offender, will be paid on application to the said Mr. Jarvis. A Man, who gives his name JOHN HOLLOWAY WHITE, is detained at Witney, on suspicion of stealing a Marc. He is about live feet four inches high, rather dark hair, red face, dark beard, rather prominent nose, and had on a smock- frock over a dark- coloured coat, blue neckerchief with dark spots, dark cord breeches, and tanned leather lereinra reaching from the middle of the thigh to the top of his high shoes; he has a bundle con- taining the following articles, which are supposed to have been stolen^ viz. a white smock- frock nearly new, a new calico man's shirt unfinished, a boy's shirt, a large dark drab jean frock coat, a [ dark striped waistcoat with buff ground, a woman's shawl, a child's white handkerchief marked' 1 II. H.\ a pair of light drab plush gaiters, and some bread cheese and bacon, The mare is black, about fourteen hands high, white hind legs about half- way towards the hock, a small " part of the near hind leg black near the hoof in front, a star in the forehead, a small snuare stamp on the outside of the shoes, and has been docked but has a long switch tail.— Information to be given to Mr. Thomas Edginton, of Witney, Oxford. Stolen, on Sunday night, the 3rd instant, or early the follow- ing morning, from " a Meadow, at Boughton Fields, Worcester, ( opposite F.. Isaac's, Esq.), a Dark Brown Horse, three years old, fifteen hands and a half high, black legs, with a little white on the off hind lee, which is lately stubbed, a small white blaze down the forehead, and switch tail. The property of Mr. John Hopkins, Hallier, Worcester.— Whoever, will give information that may lead to conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive Ten Guineas Reward, on application to Joseph Orchard, police officer, or Mr. J. Hopkins, Worcester, aforesaid. Sto'en or Strayed, but supposed to be Stolen, from Pudding- lane, at Piccott's- end, in the parish of hemel- Hempsted, Herts, a Black Pony, was a stallion and has been cut about two months, is about eight years old, has a ring- bone on the off hind leg, had a long mane and tail, a notch on the near ear, remark- ably stout built, and about eleven hands high.— Two Pounds Reward will be paid, on conviction of the offender or offenders and recovery of the pony, by applying to Mr. George Bailey, the owner, of Piccott's- end, aforesaid. Two Horses, of the following description, supposed to be stolen, have been stopped at Badby, near Daventry, viz.:— one a dark Brown, about fourteen hands high, brown muzzle, four black legs, and rat tail; the other about thirteen hands and a half high, with a star in the face, brown muzzle, four black legs, a broken knee on the off leg, switch tail, and saddle- marked on the off side. Application to be made to Richard Cole, Constable, Daventry. Stolen or Strayed, on Friday night, the 1st instant, or early the following morning, from off a common called Hollmer Green, in the parish of Little Missenden, in the county of Buckingham, a small Black Mare Pony, three years old, about twelve hands high, very stout, with a white blaze down the face, rather spreads at the nose, with a small hole burned in each ear, a small white spot on the mane, and on the hind foot, just above the hoof, about the size of a shilling, burned on each shoulder with the letters A D ; the dock has not been cut. Had on a D lock when stolen on the off fore leg. If strayed, who- ever will bring the same to Mr. A. Denham, of Little Missen- den aforesaid, shall receive One Pound Reward, and all reason- able expenses paid ; and if stolen, Five Pounds reward will be given to any person who will give information, so that the of- fender or offenders may be apprehended and convicted. LARCENY. Absconded, on Friday night, the 8th instant, from the service of Mr. Smith, Cow- keeper, No. 16, Copenhagen- street, Isling- ton, HARRIET HAYES, stealing and taking with her the fol- lowing property, belonging to her master, viz.— Eighteen Sove- reigns, £ 3 in silver; a Leghorn Bonnet, trimmed with green ribbon with a white flower ; and a brown Shawl.— She is about eighteen years of age, five feet high, stout made, dark com- plexion, dark eyes and hair, dressed in a dark green stuff gown, brown shawl, and a Leghorn bonnet trimmed with green ribbons and white flowers. She is supposed to have gone to Hammer- smith. On Saturday night, the 2nd instant, WILLIAM GREAVES left the employ of Mr. J. T. Milner, Confectioner, of Hull, stealing and taking with him various Sums of Money, which he had received on his master's account.— He is about five feet nine inches high, bald- headed, a little mole on his cheek, blue eyes, dark curly hair, rather stout, very much i upturcd in the lower part of his body, and generally wears an apron. It is supposed he will get employment at Mr. Kilner's, Confectioner, London.— Information to be given to Mr. Frederick Milner, constable, No. 58, Whitefriar- gate, Hull. Absconded, from his House, situate at Wyrardisbury, Bucks, GEORGE SUCH, who is charged with Felony. He is about five feet six or seven inches high, light hair eyes and whiskers, about twenty- eight years of age, and dressed in a fustian jacket and trousers, and black waistcoat.— Thirty Pounds Reward will be paid upon his apprehension, on application to the Parish Constable of Wyrardisbury. Absconded, on Thursday, the 7th instant, from Hunt- street, Mile End New Town, JOHN HOWARD, stealing and taking with him thirty- five yards of green figured manufactured Silk, and twelve bobbins of Shute, the property of Mr. Combar, of No. 2, Union- street, Bishopsgate.— He is about thirty- five years of age, five feet three inches high, pale complexion, and dressed in a green frock cnat, and blue trousers. He has been a tailor. Absconded, from the service of Mrs. Brown, No. 10, Burr- street, Lower East Smithfield, ELIZA FITZ SIMMONS, stealing and taking with her £ 8. 15s., with which she was en- trusted to pay her mistress's rent; also several Pillows and Towels.— She is about twenty- two years of age, dark com- plexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, broad Irish features, strong Irish accent, and appears to be three or four months advanced in pregnancy. She is supposed to have sailed in the Dublin Steam Packet on Sunday morning last. Absconded on Tuesday, the 29th ultimo, from the cmplov of Messrs. Hall and Hodgkinson, of Gears- yard, Timber- hill, Nottingham, HENRY FACON, stealing and taking with him various sums of money which lie had received at Mansfield, about fourteen miles from Nottingham, on the same day. He is about twenty- four years of age, stands about five feet six inches high, roman nose, grey eyes, rather sandy hair, and rather slender in his person, it is supposed he came to London by the Express coach, he has a brother living at No. ( i, Old Bond- street. Information to be given to Messrs. Hall and Hodgkinson, aforesaid. FRAUDS AWD AGGRAVATED MISDEMEANOURS. A Man, who gives his name THOMAS FAREBROTHIER, and who says his last place of residence was No. 23, Tottenham- court- road, near the Paddington- road, and that he was formerly a publican, but at present out of employ, was apprehended, on the 9th instant, at Tottenham, on a charge of Fraud. He went about to different houses and represented himself as one of the overseers of the parish, that he was making a collection for a poor woman who had recently lost her husband by an accident, in order to furnish her with a mangle and washing- tubs; by means of which pretences, he obtained several sums of money. — He is about sixty- four years of age, five feet eight inches high, fair complexion, grey eyes, and hair inclined to grey ; he had on a black coat and trousers, velveteen waistcoat, shoes, and white stockings.— There were two other Men with him, in a chaise- cart, which was in attendance at a short distance from the house he called at. It is suspected he has been committing similar frauds about London.— He is committed to the New Prison, Clerkenwell, for trial. At one house he went to a pair of gold spectacles was missing, and it is suspected that he knows something about then).— Information to be given to J. Forster, constable, Tottenham, Middlesex. MISCELLANEOUS INrORTVTATIONS A person calling himself HENRY ANDREWS, alias CHARLES GREEN, is in custody at Bedford, on a charge of stealing a Horse and Gig, the property of an innkeeper of that place. He is a young man of about 25 years of age, nearly six feet hi<* h, pale faced, with thick heavy features, and weak or inflamed eyes, dressed in black, and wears a blue cloth cloak. He was apprehended on Tuesday morning, the 12th instant, at Welwyn, Herts, and on searching him a great many pawnbroker's duplicates, not less than 150, were found upon him ; they are principally for books pawned in all parts of London, many for different articles of dress, some for watches, seals, cloth, & c. There appeared to be several answers to ad- vertisements on the subject of loans, cases of distress, applica- tions for clerkship in attorneys' offices, a bill accepted by a person of the name of Walker, and a great many other papers. The duplicates are principally in the name of Charles Green, 20, Tavistock- street, but many in the name of Henry Andrews, Austin- friars, and several visiting cards in the name of Andrews, Keppel- street — Information to be given to Thecd Pearse, jun., Town Clerk, Bedford. On Friday, the 8th instant, a Man, of suspicious character, was committed for fourteen days, from Ixworth, Suffolk.— He says he comes from North Farnbridge, Essex, and is a labourer travelling in pursuit of employment. He is about five feet six inches high, light complexion, and had on a long slop, trousers, and high shoes. Two Duplicates were found upon him, viz., ' Mary Yomen, Romford, 4th Oct. 1833, S. Frock, 2s., name of William Raydon, Romford'; the other ' T. Matthews, Rom- ford, 5th Oct. 1833, Is. 6d., a Waistcoat, name William Raven, Romford.'— Information to be given to John Nixon, constable, Ixworth, Suffolk. Whitehall, October, 1&* 53. Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, That, divers riotous and evil- disposed persons, on Thursday, the twenty- fourth day of October, at the Parish of St; Mary le- bone, in the County of Middlesex, riotously and tumultously assembled themselves together to disturb the public peace, and then and there unlawfully and riotously rescued divers Goods and Chattels there lawfully distrained for certain assessed taxes ihen due and in arrear, and at the time of such rescue in the lawful custody of the officer of the sheriff distraining the same: His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons engaged in the said offence, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them ( except the person or persons who personally were engaged in the said rescue) who shalldiscover his accomplice oraccomplices therein, so that he, she, or they may be apprehended and convicted thereof. And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hundred Pounds is hereby offered to any person ( except as aforesaid) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he, she, or they mav be apprehended and convicted of the said offence. MELBOURNE. PROPERTY STOLEN. Stolen, on the Thames, a large Lug Boat, named the ' John,' No. 43, painted red, and two Tarpaulins, the property of Tho- mas Wickers. On Sunday night, the 3rd instant, the Stable at the back of the Premises now in the occupation of Captain Lamb, No. 11, Charlotte- street, Leamington Priors, was entered, and the fol- lowing, among other articles, stolen therefrom, viz.— A green dress Coat with gilt buttons, a new black Coat, ten linen Shirts marked ' C. K.'; a silver Watch, with a brass curb Chain, and a brass Seal attached, with Paul Pry engraved on it; a drab Great Coat, with chequered buttons; six linen Shirts and seven Handkerchiefs, marked ' A. B.'; four pair of Breeches, a pair of Trousers, a Waistcoat, and a dress Coat.— Whoever will give information that may lead to conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, on application to Mr. T. Ford, chief police officer, Town Hall, Leamington. Stolen, on Saturday night, the 9th instant, between eight and ten o'clock, from the Windmill of Mr. Frazier, Canal Road, Hoxton, one sack of Oats and one sack of Beans.— The entrance was effected by forcing the padlock from the outer door. Stolen, on Saturday night, the 9th instant, from the House of Mr. Brideman, Tallow Chandler, corner of Upper Chapender- street, Cannon- street- road, the following articles, viz.— Three linen Shirts, and three Table- cloths marked ' J. B.'; two Shirt Collars ; one silver Tea- pot ' B. E. T.'; a pair of Sugar- tongs, seven Tea- spoons King's pattern, five Table- spoons, two Tureen Ladles, and two Cream- pots, all silver but not marked; also two dirty Table- cloths. Stolen, on Friday afternoon, the 8th instant, between two and three o'clock, from the House of Mr. Griffith, Surgeon, Lower Belgrave- street, Pimlico, two silver Forks, crest a lion rampant. — By a Man of genteel appearance, about forty- five or fifty years of age, five feet six inches high, pale complexion, light hair, and thin made; dressed in a brown froelk coat, dark trousers, and carrying a stick, who called in the absence of Mr. Griffith, and requested to write a note for him, and in the ab- sence of the servant committed the felony. In the note which he wrote, he requested Mr. Griffiths to call on the following day, at No. 3, Lower Belgrave- placc, On Sunday morning, the 10th instant, about four o'clock, the House of Mr. Hybourne, No. 24, Paul- street, Finsbury, was entered at the back parlour window, and the following articles were Stolen therefrom, viz.— A Woman's olive green Cloak, a red ditto, three Shawls ; five silver Spoons, marked ' N.': one Caddy- spoon, ' J. II. S.'; two Table- cloths, sixteen yards of new Linen, twelve yards of undressed Linen, a piece of Calico, three old silver Thimbles, one Castor- top, a pair of Wellington Boots, and three Umbrellas. On the Plate stolen from the House of Mr. Gibbs, No. 11, Bedford- square, is engraved a crest, an Arm with an Axe.— The felony is supposed to have been committed by a young Man, named FREDERICK SKEEN, about nineteen years of age, Viho was employed on the premises, as a mason's labourer, and was then residing at No. 90, Little Albany- street, but has since absconded. He has been in custody before for felony. Stolen, on Tuesday night, the 12th instant, from the Chester Mail, whilst preparing to start from the Golden Cross Yard, Charing Cross, a Deal Box and a Dressing- case, tied together. The Box contained a quantity of Minerals; and the Dressing- case contained five gold Seals, and various other articles. One of the Seals engraved with a Coronet, another on a swivel with three sides and Arms engraved on it, and another with William the Third and a Figure on horseback engraved thereon. The property of Lord Cole.— Information to be given at No. 10, York- street, Saint James. Stolen, on Monday afternoon, the 11th instant, between two and five o'clock, from the Premises of Mr. Bora, Loughborough - road, Brixton, Seventeen Pigeons, of the following description, viz.— Four white owl Pigeons, four almond tumblers, an owl ditto with almond wings, a blue French dragon, two large blue dragons, two fur tails, and three black beards.— Two Boys were seen on the garden- wall: one was dressed in a shabf> y blue coat and dark trousers, the other in a flannel jacket and tustian trousers. Stolen, on the night of the 9th instant, from the premises of Dean, of Waterloo- road, one Saw, marked ' G. Adams one Ditto, ' A. L. and A.
