ENGLAND. 1.— COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND. Sir, Carlisle, 31st Oct. 18129. IN answer to your letter of the 28th instant, requiring me to acquaint you whether any Jesuit or member of a religious order residing within the county of Cumberland had been registered at my office, in pursuance of the provisions of the 28th sec. 10 Geo. 4. c. 7, I haye to inform you only one; viz. on the " 10th October, Andrew Riding, aged 78, bom at Wigan in Lancashire, of the order of St. Benedict; the next immediate superior of the order the Rev. Thomas Robinson, Liverpool; the party residing at Warwick Bridge." I am, Sir, your most obedient humble servant, W. Hodgson. 2.— COUNTY OF DORSET. DATE of the REGISTRY. NAME of the PARTY. AGE. PLACE of BIRTH. NAME of the Order, Community or Society whereof he is a Member. NAME and usual Residence of the next immediate Superior of the Order, Community or Society. Usual Place of Residence of the Party. 29 April 1829 - L. B. Moutardier N. Rousselin - 42 58 L'Aigle, France - St. Malo, France - Jesuit - Cistertian Chas. Brooke, Stonyhurst, Lancashire.
