AND CRY. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 1828. Containing the Substance of all Informations received in Cases of Felonies, and Misdemeanors of an aggravated nature, and against Receivers of Stolen Goods, reputed Thieves and Offenders escaped from Custody, with the time, the - place, and every particular circumstance marking the Offence. The Names of Persons charged, who are known but not in Custody, and of those who are not known, their Appearance, Dress, and every other mark of identity that can be described. The Names of Accomplices and Accessories, with every other particular which may lead to their Apprehension. The Names of all Persons brought before the Magistrates, charged with any of the Offences mentioned, and whether committed for Trial, Re- examination, or how otherwise disposed of. Also a Description of Property that has been Stolen, and particularly of Stolen Horses, with as much particularity as can be given, ivith every circumstance that may be useful for the purpose of Tracing and Recovering it. HOUSE- BREAKING On Sunday night, the 14th instant, or early on the follow- ing morning, some evil- disposed person or persons broke into Highbury College, and Stole Twenty Diaper Table Cloths, several other articles, and also Provisions from the Larder.— Whoever will give such information as may lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders, to the Trea- surer of the Institution, shall, upon such conviction, be en- titled to Twenty Pounds Reward. On Friday morning, the 12th instant, about half- past nine o'clock, the House of Mr. A. Friet, of No. 13, Gun- yard, Houndsditch, was feloniously entered, ( supposed by means of false keys), and the following Property and Monies Stolen therefrom, viz.— A white deal box, with iron corners, one black body coat, one blue ditto, one brown ditto, one green ditto, one pair of black tronsers, one pair of brown ditto, one pair of green ditto, four pair of nankin ditto, one pair of drill ditto, five pair of calico drawers, two toilinet waistcoats, one black ditto, one velvet ditto, five white mar- seilla ditto, one red silk ditto, one green striped ditto, one red ditto, fifteen linen shirts, marked ' A. F.', four green silk cravats, two muslin neck- handkerchiefs, marked ' A. F.', one white woollen under- waistcoat, one blue striped ditto, six pair of white cotton stockings, oop puir of black worsted ditto, and three white night- caps.— Also Five One Hundred Pound Bank of England Notes; Three Hundred Pounds in smaller Notes; and Two Hundred and Forty Sovereigns.— One Hundred and Fifty Pounds Reward will • be paid, on recovery of the Property, and conviction of the offender or offenders, by applying to John Forrester, No. 5, Saville- buildings, Aldgate. JfeOn Tuesday morning, the 16th instant, about two o'clock, the House of Mr. Stroud, Watchmaker, No. 5, Henry- street, Pentonville, was broken into at the back part, but the thieves being disturbed, nothing was stolen. They left behind them, in the garden, a stock and centre- bit, quite new, a crow- bar, and a blue and white spotted cotton hand- kerchief, torn at two of the corners ; which articles are now in the possession of Robert Duke, one of the Officers of Hatton Garden Police Office. On Monday night, the 15th instant, the House of Mr. Michael Oppenheim, No. 27, Mansell- street, Goodman's- fields, was broken and entered, and the following articles stolen therefrom ; viz. a silver sugar- bason and sugar- tongs, a caddy- ladle, and a mustard- pot top, both of silver ; the plate is marked ' M. C. O.' On Tuesday night, the 16th instant, the Dwelling- house of William Wainewright, Esq., of No. 2, Fludyer- street, was burglariously entered, from an empty house adjoining, by forcing an iron bar from the attic window ; and it is sup- posed the parties were disturbed by a servant going up stairs. On Tuesday night, the 16tli instant, the House of Mr. Russell, of Purton- row, Newington, was broken and en- tered, and four shirts, marked ' I. R.', five shifts, marked * G.', two coloured gowns, four silver spoons, marked ' E. B.', and five pair of boots, were Stolen therefrom. ^ HORSE AND CATTLE STEALING. Stolen, on Sunday night, the 14th instant, from Saint Julian's Farm, near Saint Albans, a Roan or Strawberry coloured Mare Colt; in good condition, one year off old, with light coloured mane and tail; of the Flanders breed.— Also a light Chesnut Blood Gelding; one year off old, with a white streak down the forehead and nose, and the hind feet white.— Also a Dark Brown Yearling Colt, of the Cart breed, with a star in the forehead ( just weaned), with a small white mark on the near hind foot.— The above are the property of Mr. Gounne, of Saint Julian's Farm aforesaid. Twenty Pounds Reward on conviction. Stolen, or Strayed, on Tuesday, the 16th instant, from a Field, near Clifton, a Light Bay Pony Gelding; about thir- teen hands high, aged, a small lump just above the fetlock on the near fore leg, very short tail, a saddle gall on the back, just healed, and numerous saddle marks.— If Stolen, a Reward of Four Guineas will be paid on conviction of the offender or offenders; and if Strayed, One Guinea, and all reasonable expenses will be paid, by applying to Mr. Stone, Dean- lane, Coronation- road, Bedminster, Bristol. Stopped, suspected to be Stolen, a Dark Bay Mare Pony, aged; about fourteen hands high, black legs, a small star in the forehead, has been fired on the near hock, both knees broken ( but supposed since stolen), and in good condition. — May be seen, by applying to J. Bellerby, Police Officer, Warwick. Stolen, or Strayed, on Tuesday night, the 9th instant, or early on the following morning, out of a Field, in Bumper's Lane, in the City of Chester, a Bay Horse, three years old, stands fifteen hands high, of great bone, with two white legs behind, a little above the fetlock, has been blistered on the throat just under the jaws, and also on both hocks, for the curbs, was docked and trimmed a few weeks back, and been chafed with the collar on each shoulder.— Notice is hereby Given, that any person giving such information as may lead to the apprehension of the offender or offenders, shall, if the Horse is Stolen, upon com iotion, be paid a Reward of Five Guineas ; and if Strayed, the individual who shall return it to Mr. Robert Williams, Crown and Mitre, North- gate- street, Chester, the owner, shall be handsomely re- warded, and all reasonable expenses will be allowed. Stolen, on Sunday night, the 7th instant, or early on the following morning, from a Field, near Rockingham Bridge, Uxbridge, Middlesex, a strong Dark Brown, nearly Black, Cart Mare, about fifteen hands high, with white face, two white feet behind, and a saddle- mark on the off side, the property of Messrs. H. and D. Grainge, Uxbridge, Middle- sex.— Any person that will give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders, shall re- ceive a Reward of Five Pounds from the Uxbridge Society for the Protection of Property, and a further Reward of Fifteen Pounds from Messrs. Henry and Daniel Grainge, Uxbridge, Middlesex. On Thursday, the 11th instant, two Mares were stopped with a suspicious person, ( nowin custody,) in Bermondsey; one is dark brown, with four black legs, about fourteen hands one inch in height, aged seven years, both knees broken, the hind fetlock joint white, a small white spot on the near side of the neck, and various saddle marks. The other is an aged Pony, dark brown, near twelve hands high, very grey about the head and knuckles behind, with both fetlock joints and both knees broken, with branded initials on the off shoulder, supposed to be ' W. B.', and a switch tail; also a saddle and bridle. Stolen, late on Wednesday evening, the 10th instant, ot early on the following morning, a Dark Bay Mare, about fourteen hands and a half high, short tail, blistered on both her fore feet near the hoof, has been kicked on the near hind leg near the hock, and a white spot on her near side.— Whoever will discover the offender or offenders, so that he or they may be brought to justice, and convicted thereof, shall receive a Reward of Four Guineas, by applying to Mr. William Morton, Parson Drove, near Wisbech, Cam- bridgeshire. Stolen, or Strayed, from a Field, in the Parish of Budock, near Penryn, in Cornwall, a Light Bay Horse, about thir- teen hands high, six years old, collar and saddle marked, short tail, and carries his head very much out in travelling. — If Stolen, any Person giving information so that the offender or offenders may be convicted, shall receive Five Pounds Reward; and if Strayed, all reasonable expenses will be paid, by applying to the owners, Messrs. Hill and Austin, as above. Stolen, on Friday night, the 12th instant, from the Farm- yard of Mr. George Pope, of Black Pot Hill, Kingsbury, Two Cows, one a yellow pole Cow, with a white mark on her left hind leg, the other a red Cow, with a white face. Stolen, on Sunday morning, the 14th instant, from a Shed, ( which was entered by means of a false key), at Chingford Hall, Essex, one Sow and three Barrow Pigs, about eight weeks old, all of them of a white colour, of the Suffolk breed ; the property of Mr. John Merrington.— Whoever will give such information as may lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offenders, either to Mr. Thomas Gar- ton, chief officer, or to James Hanley, officer, at Worship- street Police Office, will receive Twenty Pounds Reward, by applying to Mr. John Merrington, of Chingford Hall, Essex. On the 31st day of July last, a Person hired a Cabriolet and Horse, of Mr. Tilbury, Mount- street, Grosvenor- square, and gave his address ' WILLIAM WEMYSS, Woodland's Cottage, Richmond,' and the period having elapsed far be- yond the time it was engaged for, inquiry has been made, and it is found that the Address is totally fictitious,— Any person who will give such information as shall lead to the recovery of the Property, shall receive Five Pounds Re- ward; and ou conviction of the offender, Twenty Pounds Reward.— It is a Grey Gelding, near fifteen hands three inches high, switch tail, with Brass Harness. Cabriolet painted green, lined green, and small oval lights in the sides of the head. Stolen, on Wednesday night, the 3d instant, or early the following morning, from a Meadow, near the Road- side, in the Parish of Chalfont Saint Peters, Bucks, a Black Horse, the property of Mr. Ballard. The said Horse is fifteen hands one inch high, has hurt one of his eyes, and has a. white mark on his near hind foot.— Five Pounds Reward o » conviction and recovery of the Horse, on application to Mr Messer, Margaret- street, Cavendish- square. GEORGE WOOD, about five feet six inches high, thirty- seven years of age, full face, and dark eyes, stands charged with stealing, on the 27th ultimo, a Black Mare, the pro- perty of George Duke, of Radcliff- upon- Trent. On or about the 25th ultimo, a Dark Brown Shetland Pony, the property of Mr. William Morris, was Stolen from Streatham Common.— Ten Pounds Reward on conviction.. On Sunday night, the 31st ult., a Black or Dark Brown Pony, with short tail, and white face, and a new saddle and bridle, was left at the Stables of Mr. Jarrotts, Cudham Kent; supposed to have been Stolen, as the Man who brought it, upon being asked about it, ran away. Stolen, during the night of Sunday, the 31st ultimo, from a Field, near the Old Windmill, in the Parish of Odding- ton, Gloucestershire, which adjoins the Turnpike Road leading from Stow to Chipping Norton, a Dark Bay Geld- ing, four years old off', with black legs, a star in the fore- head, a small bit of white on the outside of the near hind heel close to the hoof, a cut tail, which he carries high as if nicked, turns out the near fore foot, is about fifteen hands one inch high, and the property of Mr. Richard Mason. Ten Guineas Reward will be paid to any person who wiljj give information, so that the offender or offenders may be brought to justice and conviction, on application to Mr. Richard Mason, of Oddington, Gloucestershire aforesaid ; or to Mr. Brookes, Stow, the Solicitor to the Stow Asso- ciation for the Prosecution of Felons. On Thursday night, the 4th instant, two Horses, the pro- perty of Mr. William Toovey, were feloniously Stolen from the Paddock adjoining'the Garden belonging to his Dwell- ing- house at Newnham Murren, Oxon, near Wallingford.— One ef the Horses being a yellow Bay aged Nag, above fifteen hands high, saddle- marked, wrung in the shouldersi, as appears by the grey hairs, lame in the off hind leg, and! has been nicked.— The other is a dark Brown Gig Horse, aged, between fourteen and fifteen hands high, with cut tail, and has had sore shoulders, and broken knees.— Who- ever will discover the offender or offenders, shall on his or their conviction, receive of Mr. Toovey, or Mr. John Allnatt Hedges, Solicitor, Wallingford, a Reward of Forty Pound',,-. — If more than one person was concerned in the Felorjy, and either of them will impeach his accomplice or acc om- plices, he shall, on his or their conviction, receive the above Reward, and not be prosecuted. 286 POLICE GAZETTE; OR, HUE AND CRY. 191 On Tuesday, the 2d instant, the Premises of Mr. J. Win- tie, of Church- row, Kennington, were entered, and two Pigs, about fourteen stone each, were Stolen therefrom. A man, named DAVID SIMPSON, late in the employ of the said J. Wintle, ( in company with another man), was seen driving the Pigs, about live o'clock in the morning of the same day. •— A Reward of Two Guineas will he paid, on the apprehen- sion of the said DAVID SIMPSON. A Brown Horse, the property of John Andrews, of Bram- sliaw, Wilts, which was Stolen from his Stable, in February last, has been traced to WILLIAM HATCH, of Bristol, who is suspected of having Stolen the same.— Whoever will cause the said WILLIAM HATCH to be lodged in any of Mis Majesty's Gaols, or give information to Jolia Philips, Constable of Baling, Hants, so that he may be ap- prehended, will be handsomely rewarded.— The Horse has been sworn to by John Andrews, before the Bath Forum Magistrates, and was discovered by Philips, through some information given to him by John Green, who was coiWictcd at the last Gloucester Assizes, of Horse Stealing.— The said WILLIAM HATCH is about forty years of age, dark complexion and hair, and about five feet four inches high. Stolen, on Thursday night, the 4th instant, out of a Field, ( the lock of the gate being forced by drawing t!-; e staple), near Haverfordwest, in the county of Pembroke, a Bay Gelding, rising live jcars old, of the Nag kind ; black legs, mane, and hoots, and nearly black brush tail, rather large feet, has the mallendars on the near fore leg, about fourteen hands high, strong but of sprightly appearance. Twenty guineas have lately been offered by a horse dealer for him. Several horse- dealers were at Haverfordwest Fair the day before the Horse was stolen, one of whom was seen in the Field, viewing the same, in the course of the day.— Any in- formation will be thankfully received by Thomas Venables, high constable, Haverfordwest. A handsome Reward will be given on recovery. IAECEN7. Stolen, on Monday, the 15th instant, supposed about one o'clock, from the Kitchen of Dr. Graham, George- street, Croydon, a Basket of Plate, containing the following arti- cles, viz.— Four table- spoons, fiddle handled, marked ' G.'; four dessert ditto, ditto; one gravy- spoon, with crest, an Eagle's head and neck; three large forks, same crest; three small forks, shell pattern, no crest; four tea- spoons, fiddle handled, no mark ; one mustard- spoon, plain ; and a new plate basket, neatly lined with blue cloth.— Four Guineas Reward will be given on conviction of the offender and re- covery of the property, by applying to Mr. George, Con- stable, Croydon.— A woman, about twenty- six years of age, dressed in a blue gown and black bonnet, rather stout and masculine, came to Dr. Graham's with a basket, containing combs, pincushions, & c., and urged the servant girl to buy some^ the woman had previously been in the kitchen, as the girl saw her coming therefrom, and on her questioning her what she wanted, she urged the girl's purchase, as before stated. This woman came from London, in company with another woman and three men, having with them a little girl, about six years old, very ragged and barefoot, and went to a public- house and got lodgings, and immediately after the Robbery ( although they had provided their dinner) decamped, and were seen altogether at Streatham, in the direction for London. The husband ( who is a man about five feet nine or ten inches high, black- eyed, rather sandy hair, with dark clothes and duck trousers), is a mender of umbrellas, & c. Information has been given by Ann Scott, No. 9, Phoenix- street, Crown- street, Soho, Widow, that the following articles had been stolen; viz. a lilac printed cotton gown, with a running sprig, a black Norwich crape gown, a pair of Den- mark satin shoes, a net cap, three net collars, with lace round them, and a straw bonnet, with green ribbon— Sup- posed by a Woman who lodged in the Hou^ Jfe, she wears a green gown with a white spot, very much washeu, an old light- grey shawl, a green and grey plaid handkerchief round her neck, and Denmark satin boots, with leather fronts; she is of the middle stature, rather stout, though not corpulent, llat faccd, rather marked with the small- pox, shows her teeth when smiling, and is a Yorkshire- woman. She said she had an Uncle living at Blackheath, and was brought up, from seven years of age, by Lady Downes, and married a Ship Carpenter at Portsmouth; she went by the name of BETSY, and left her lodgings on Tuesday evening, the 9th instant, about eight o'clock, during Mrs. Scott's absence, and has not since been heard of. JOHN COLLARD, late of No. 68, Hare- street, Bethnal- green, in the employ of Thomas Wilson and Sons, of Fort- street, Spitaifields, has Absconded, with about Seventy Yards of Black Silk, aud about Twenty- live Bobbins of Shute. He was seen to rtm towards Fleet- street, Bethnal- green.— The said JOHN COLLARD is about five feet ten inches high; had on velveteen breeches, and blue jacket; pale complexion, and very down look. JOHN BAKER who deserted from His Majesty's ship ' Hyperion, at Newhaven, on Sunday, the 7th instant, is suspected to have Stolen one ten- pound Bank Note, one five- pound Note, issued by Attwood and Spooner, one two- pound Horsham Bank Note, and two Sovereigns, from the Commanding Officer.— He is about five feet four inches high, of a swarthy complexion, with dark hair aud eyes ; he has never been shaved, but has a little hair on his upper lip. GEORGE WILLIAM DODD, a Clerk, in the employ- ment of Mr. James Scott, Solicitor, of No. 15, Lincoln's- Inn Fields, Absconded, about ten days ago, taking with him the Sum of Four Hundred Pounds, consisting of three hun drcd pounds in Ten- pound Bank of England Notes, num- bered from - 281 to 310, and one hundred pounds in Gold.— The said GEORGE WILLIAM DODD is a native of Ireland, about thirty years of age, stands five feet nine inches high, with broad face, and dark brown hair; he wore a plum- coloured surtout coat, with black velvet collar, light trousers, a black stock, and a remarkably rusty hat. Stolen, on Thursday morning, the 18th instant, about five o'clock, from an outhouse, belonging to Mrs. Willmore, of No. 10, Cambridge- road, Bethnal- green, a large Copper. — Two Persons ( one a lad, dressed in a fustian jacket, and known by the name of TOM BULLOCK) were seen getting over the wall. NOT OTHERWISE DESCRIBED. Three Convicts effected their Escape from the Ganymede Convict Ship, at Woolwich, on the night of the 11th instant, between the hours of twelve and one o'clock. Their De- scriptions are as follows :— GEORGE LEYES, aged twenty- four, convictcd of housebreaking, at Aberdeen, in Septem- ber, 1825; labourer: born in Whitechapel; very much pock- maiked; ' W. E.' pricked on the right arm; dark brown hair, grey eyes, flat nose, small mouth, dark com- plexion, round visage, stout make, five feet seven inches high— ANGUS M'LEAN, aged thirty- one ; blacksmith ; convicted of housebreaking, at Glasgow, in September, 1827; red hair, hazel eyes, small nose, small mouth, fair complexion, round visage, stout make, five feet six inches high; freckled all over; several lumps and scars on the left leg; a scar on the calf of the right leg: a long scar on the right arm: born in Glasgow.— JOHN MULLIGAN, aged thirty- five; labourer; convicted of stealing forty- seven so- vereigns, at Liverpool, in January last; grey hair and eyes, pug nose, large month, fair complexion, long visage, stout make, live feet seven inches and three quarters high, freckled face, three scars on the forehead, broken nose, several small scars on the small part of the left leg and shin bone, a scar on the back of the left hand : born at Dundalk, in Ireland.— Five Pounds Reward will he paid to whoever will cause the said ANGUS M'LEAN to be apprehended and lodged in any of His Majesty's Gaols, on application to Mr. Edward Ridgill, Commander of the Ganymede. THOMAS EXELL, who states himself to have been a servant to Sir John Camwell, is detained at the Police Office, Birmingham, on suspicion of having stolen a small Gold French Watch, silver dial, with seconds, very flat ho rizontal movement; also a silver guard chain, with fine- gold swivel, and a fine- gold key.— He is thirty years of age, of dark complexion, about five feet seven inches high ; says he is a native of Reading; that ho came from Liver- pool to Birmingham, and was on his way to London. He has a character purporting to be from Mr. George Billins, No. 18, Finsbury- square, London, dated 12th March, 1828, with whom he says he lived. He also lived with 3\ Jr. Red- fern, at Birmingham, two years and four months. The character he has is his own hand- writing. He is without money; and states he bought the watch, & c., at Grenada, for which he gave twenty- one pounds. On Thursday, the llth instant, as James Malony was re- turning from Birmingham to Hanley, in the Staffordshire Potteries, he was overtaken by a Man with a Pack, who re- quested to be allowed to put it in the pannier on an ass that Malony had with him ;• he allowed him to do so, aud shortly afterwards the man disappeared. OPBRTY STOLEN. Stolen, on Monday night, the 15th instant, from the House of Henry Witham, of No. 9, New Boswell- court, Carey- street, Lincoln's- Inn Fields :— Cash in gold, amounting to five pounds ten shillings, one shilling, one large silver ladle, curiously chased, one pair of silver sugar- tongs, one silver thimble ; two blue coats, two pair of trousers, some stock- ings, two salt- spoons, two pair of boots, and two pair of shoes. Stolen, on Monday morning, the 15th instant, from the Dwelling- house of Mr. George Royal, a Silver Watch, maker's name ' J. Baldin, London,' and ' No. 189.' Stolen, on Saturday night, the 13th instant, from the per- son of Mr. William Force, of No. 2, Barton- street, West- minster, a Gold Watch, made by ' Ellis, Exeter;' crest on the case, a hand clenching a battle- axe ; a gold seal, with cor- nelian stone, crest the same as on the watch, and initials ' . r. C. H.', with a steel guard, and black ribbon.— Any per- son giving information that may lead to the recovery of the watch, and conviction of the offender, will receive a Reward of Ten Guineas. On Saturday, the 13th instant, a Lad, having the appear- ance of a Silversmith's Porter, bringing a blue Bag with him, came to the Warehouse of Messrs. Edward Terrey and Co., Working Silversmiths, No. 31, Hatton- garden, with a Note, purporting to be from Mr. Hill, Silversmith, Fleet- street, requesting to have some silver tea- pots sent to him on approbation, a term well known in the trade. Four richly chased silver tea- pots were immediately de- livered to the Lad, to be taken to Mr. Hill, it being usual among respectable Silversmiths, to apply to one another, and immediately to have sent to them, for inspection, goods in the way in which these goods were sent for, and sup- plied. Subsequently it was found the Note was a fabrica- tion, and the goods have not been since heard of. The Lad was fifteen or sixteen years of age, shortish in person, dark looking, and marked with the small- pox, and wore a blue round jacket. Several other Silvermiths have been lately defrauded in the same way, and it is believed where the same Lad has been concerned. On Tuesday, the 16th inst., between the hours of twelve and one o'clock, a quantity of Working Tools, consisting of nine saws, six planes, three chisels, and a centre- bit and stock, the property of William Godding and other journey- men Carpenters, employed on the premises of Mr. Gals- worthy, in Stamford- street, Lambeth, were Stolen. Some of the said tools are marked with the initials ' W. G.' and others ' R. L. T.' Two tall Men, one stout made, dressed in blue clothes, and the other slight made, and dressed in fustian, are suspected of having Stolen them, being seen lurking about the premises a short time previous to the felony being committed. Stolen, on Tuesday evening, the 9tli instant, from the person of the Rev. Thomas Hurst, in Great Queen- street, Lincoln's- Inn Fields, a Silver Hunting Watch, made at Boston, maker's name not known, a gold Seal, and two metal Keys. Stolen, on Tuesday night, the 16th instant, from the per son of John Foxcott, in a House, in White- hart- yard, Drury- lane, occupied by a man named Neal, a Silver Watch, maker's name ' Brown,' with a gold curb chain, and three seals, two of which were gold and the other petit- or. Stolen, on Wednesday morning, the 17th instant, from the House of Miss Burchell, King's- road, Fulham, a small gold chased case French wtch, with gold dial, and set with turquoise and ruby stones.— Supposed to be Stolen by some Persons offering Band- boxes for sale. Stolen, a Ten Pound Bank Note, ' No. 5814,' dated ' 14th July, 1828.' Stolen, on Tuesday night, the 16th instant, from a Room, in Bethel Chapel, Goswell- street- road, late the Society of Friends' School House, about five hundred weight of old Gutter Lead, the property of Mr. Christopher Cockerton, Builder, of Upper- street, Islington. Stolen, from an unfinished House, in Compton- place, near the New Scotch Church, the following Carpenter's tools, the property of Joseph Hicks, of No. 2, China- row, Pros- pect- place, Lambeth ; viz. one pannel saw, marked ' J. H.'; one tenant saw, marked ' J. H.'; one trying plane, same marks; one jack plane, marked ' T. Hicks;' one smoothing plane, not marked; one six- inch square, marked ' J. H.'; one twelve- inch square, not marked, quite new ; one oil stone, one quarter- inch bead plane, one three- eighth- inch bead plane, marked ' T. Hicks;' and a variety of smaller tools. Stolen, on Wednesday night, the 17th instant, at a Public House, at Kensington, a Pedlar's Pack, containing four dozen and a half pair of Stockings, of different sorts, viz. coloured Lamb's wool, white Lamb's wool, imitation black worsted of silk, and coarse white yarn.— The name ' Michael King,' was on the Pack, with the No. 1216. Stolen, on Friday, the 12th instant, or on the following day, from No. 1, Barrow- hill- street, Portland- town, a Copper, holding about thirty two gallons, the property of James Powell.
