42 F- 0ItTH Lit ACCOUNTS RELATING TO THE ItEPi. t to the 3d Item in the Order of the Honourable House, dated 11th February 1823. THE only Condition of repayment required, is, that the Loans shall be repaid by instalments, at the rate of six pounds per cent per annum, from the first day of July, twelve months after the advance has been made, pursuant to' the statute of 43 Geo. 3, c. 106, in respect to Glebe Houses; and pursuant to the provisions of the statute 48 Geo. 3, c. 65, in respect to Churches. REPLY to the 4th Item. An Account of the Churches and Glebe Houses, for erecting which, sums of money have been advanced, by way of gift or loan, has been fully deailed in the preceding Statements, under the respective heads of Churches and Glebe Houses. But the Secretary of the Board cannot assign reasons for delay in their completion, wherever unforeseen delay has existed, as his department does not extend to the knowledge of such facts. The Order of the HouSe was referred to the Bishops of the several dioceses respectively; and the returns made by the Bishops which have been received, are sent herewith ( see Appendix A.) to which a reference is humbly submitted. REPLY to the 5th Item. The Annual Value of the several benefices as certified to the Board to ground an application, under the Act 43 and 48 Geo. 3, for a loan or gift of money to assist the incumbent in erecting a Glebe House, is expressed in a third column, opposite to the denomination of each parish, as detailed under the head of " - Sums advanced for building Glebe Houses." For a Statement of the number and estimated extent of the Parishes comprized therein, & c. reference is humbly submitted to the Returns made by the Bishops, which have been received, and are sent herewith ( see Appendix A.) as the knowledge of these facts does not come within the department of the Secretary of the Board. REPLY to the 6th Item. The Secretary of the Board is not aware of any Measures which have been adopted by the Commissioners of First Fruits in Ireland within the last twenty years, for effecting a more exact Valuation of the Benefices contributing thereto, or of including therein such Benefices as have not heretofore been valued for that purpose. REPLY to the 7TH and 8th Items. For an Account of the several Parishes which have been united or disunited under the authority of the Lord Lieutenant and Council of Ireland, specifying the date of such Orders of Council, & c. it is humbly submitted, that a reference be had to Returns from the Clerk of the Council, as they belong to his department, which are herewith annexed ( see Appendix B.) REPLY to the 9th Item. For an Account of all Unions now existing, effected by Episcopal Authority, specifying the number of Parishes, & c. a reference is humbly submitted to the Returns made by the Bishops respectively, which are sent herewith ( see Appendix A.)
