Bishop Bennett authorized the last union, in con- sideration of the very inconsiderable value of the prebend. These parishes have been episcopally united for a great length of time. The last union authorized by Bishop Mann. These parishes had been long united to the prebend of Ins- kenny. The last union was authorized by Bishop St. Lawrance, by whom they were severed from the prebend. United as long as records reach. The union last authorized, at the request of the patron, by Bishop Stopford. The cure of souls of St. Catherine's appears by the earliest records of the diocese, to have been committed to the rector of St. Mary Shandon, and to have been so continued ever since. Such continuance last authorized by Bishop In the presentation of the Kiug, by whose commands the union of them was last authorized by Bishop St. Lawrance. United for a great length of time. The extent of these parishes, which surround the parish of Do- nougmore, including the same, is about 4 miles by !-}• mile.
