R 1. 1. 2. 3- 4- The DEANERY of the Cathedral Church of KILLALOE; to which belong, as the corps thereof, Kilkeary - - - Entire Rectory. Dromineer - ------- the like. Ballyneclough — - -- -- - Vicarage. Terryglass - -- -- -- - — Vicarage. These parishes are not in any instance contiguous to each other; they are dispersed through the diocese in some instances, part of two, in others, parts of three parishes in- tervening. The Revd Peter Carleton, A. M.; has cure of souls; he is resident at Coolock near Dublin, which parish he holds by Faculty with the Deanery ; the duties are performed by the officiating Ministers of the parishes respectively, adjoining the several parishes of this Benefice. At a period long prioi to any known record ; . probably at the firlt in ilitution of the Deanery, and by whatever autho- rity was then competent. R 1 2. X. 2. The Chantorship; to which belong, as the corps thereof, Lateragh - — - -- -- Entire Rectory. Innisdadrom - - - - Rectory & Vicarage. These parishes are not in any instance con- tiguous; they are situated indifferent parts of the diocese, and are at least 30 miles asunder. The Revd Samuel Jocelen Ot- way, A. B.; has cure of souls; he is resident at Castle Otway, within one mile of the parish of Lateragh, and does the duty of said parish himself; the Diocesan intends to order his residence. At a period long prioi to any known record, probably at the first in- stitution of the Chantor- ship, and by whatever authority was then com- petent. : — 3- 1. 2. 3. 4- 5- The Chancellorship; to which belong, as the corps thereof, Toomevara alias Templedowney - - Entire Rectory, Ballymackey ... Vicarage. With which are held, Episcopally united, Ballymackey - -- -- — - - Rectory. Aghnameadle - - - Rectory Sc Vicarage. Ballygibbon - - - - the like. Kilderrydadrom - - the like. These parishes are contiguous; estimated extent from N. to S. 5 miles, from E. to W. 6 miles. The Honble and Revd Arthur Vesey, A. B.; has cure of souls; is resident at Abbeyleix; has a Faculty for holding the Living of Abbeyleix, where he resides, with this Benefice; the duties are per- formed by the Revd James Hill Poe, A. B. his Curate, who is re- sident. By authority of the Diocesan, on the 5th day of January 1799.
