[ 99 i DIOCESE OF ELPHIN. 1805. A RETURN of the Names of every Dignity, Prebend, Benefice, Donative, and Parochial Chapelry, in the said Diocese; and of the Persons possessing the same, who have not refided thereon during the last. Year. No. Dignities, & c. INCUMBENTS, 1. Deanery of Elphin. » The Rev. John French, incumbent; whose deanery- house being very old and unfit for residence, he proposes to build a new one, when money can be obtained under the late Act for building glebe houfes, and in the interim he resides in the parish of Tiboheen, in this diocefe ; the cure of which he attends. 2. Chantorship of Elphin. The Rev. Richard Wynne, incumbent, who has no cure of souls belonging to the chantorship, and resides on his benefice of Drum- clifFe, in this diocese. 3- Prebend of Kilgoghlin. The Rev. Gabriel Stokes, incumbent; who has no cure of souls belonging to his prebend, and resides on his benefice in another diocese. 4- Prebend of Tirebrine. The Rev. Robert Hawkeshaw, incumbent; who has no cure of souls belonging to his prebend, and resides on his benefice in an- other diocese. 5- Prebend and Benefice of Killcooley. The Rev. Wm. Digby, incumbent; who ( I have heard) resides on his benefice in another diocese. 6. Prebend and Benefice of Artaugh or Tibohine. The Rev. John H. Gouldsbury, incumbent; who, having another benefice in this diocese does the duties thereof, and wherein he has erected a glebe house. 7- Prebend and Benefice of Ballintobber, & c. The Rev. Wm. Sandford, incumbent; who resides in England in consequence of bad health. 8. Prebend and Benefice of Tarmonbarry. The Rev. John Cliffe who resides in New Ross, and is incapaci- tated by old age. 9- Benefice of Killenvoy, & c. The Rev. Micl. Griffin, incumbent; who not having a glebe- house or any residence in his Union, attends the cure of another benefice in this diocese. 10. Benefice of Athlegue and Fuerty, & c. The Rev. Thos. Crawford, incumbent; who not having a glebe- house or any residence in his Union, attends the cure of another benefice in this diocese. 11. $ Benefice of Aughrim. The Rev. John Barton, incumbent; who not having any residence in his Union does not reside therein, but lives in the diocese, not far distant. D d
