Extract of a Letter from Colonel Campbell to General Dun- das, dated Athy, 27th May, 1798. " SINCE my last Communication we have killed FIFTY " of the Enemy. u THE REBELS have suffered considerably in an tc Attack on Carlow and Monasterevan ; upwards of FOUR " HUNDRED of them killed at the former, and SIXTY " FIVE at the latter, with little or no Loss to the u King's Troops. u Our Men are in high Spirits."
